Chen yelled as he suddenly turned into a swarm of butterflies and flew through some of the traps. He quickly reformed and landed on his feet, stumbling as he tried to resume his run. Chen looked ahead towards Charles and decided it was time to take it up a notch.
"Nice conversation, but I've gotta run now! Later!" He pumped some more magic into The Strength and began running a lot faster, getting right behind Charles and ducking and weaving through the traps. "What sort of maniac puts life threatening traps in a lap test!"

That being said, I'm fairly certain that the GM had some sort of minor puzzle or something planned out. Heck, she had my character's fire magic just reflect back at him... besides, the guy who wrote that was kinda mad at you for putting that in your post.
Again, sorry about that I was just confused I guess. My bad guys.

A look of embarrassment crossed Mizu's face and he smiled bashfully. "Heh, yeah I'm an outlaw. It's pretty fun getting to do whatever you want and get payed while you do it. I enjoy my- WHY ARE YOU EXCITED THAT I'M AN OUTLAW!" Mizu suddenly yelled as his eyes widened in confusion. His entire view of children had just been turned upside down in less than ten words. 'Why is she excited to be meeting a violent criminal?! She's supposed to be terrified, crying in fear! Not excited!' Suddenly his eyes widened and he looked around. People were staring, someone was already running away. "Damnit kid, you did that on purpose!" Mizu grabbed her by the arm and started dragging her to his hideout. "Come on kid, this isn't a good place to talk."
As soon as they got to the old abandoned building, Mizu rushed in and closed the door behind him. "All right, how about you repeat what you said earlier, but this time at a speed below Mach 5." As he said this he looked calm and collected, the only sign something was wrong being the slight twitch in his left eye. On the inside however... 'Oh god I just kidnapped a local child. I just kidnapped a local child and half the freaking town saw me kidnap a local child. The Boss is going to kill me for this! Why do all my trips into this town go horribly wrong?'

Chen smiled and followed the group. On the inside he was creating more plans, backup plans, reserve plans, and a desperation plan if it came down to it. As he followed them he suddenly realized something very important that he had ignored for a bit. The flower was alive. He began staring at it and followed it's swaying motions as Papyrus did his weird little march to the locked door. 'What are you? I've never seen a monster quite like that... It looks killable.' Chen breathed in deeply as Papyrus made another comment on bad puzzles and suffering. 'I can get behind suffering. Yeah...'

What I do is I wait for two posts after my post, then I feel safe to post again. Posting order gets really complicated and annoying really fast.

He activated it and felt himself become somewhat stronger. He then began the first lap, keeping pace with the more average of students.
