We're gonna drag these Beetles up along the food chain with us.

Meet with the bees again. After all, we planted these berry bushes "for them." They're a mutual investment. See if they would be willing to buzz by to inform us when these threats are coming, so that we might be able to marshal our new forces to better protect them.

Alternatively, we could evolve a big, fat, round variant of the drones the same color as the berries and full of poison and sticky fluid. Position them on the most tempting looking clusters of berries and let these giant monsters devour them. See if we can teach them that berries are dangerous.
Maisy napped under the big tree in the center of the town hub in Rhea. She hadn't set it up so she felt pain, so discomfort wasn't a factor and she liked the way the sun felt on her face.

It was the first time she'd been to sleep since the game started.

Not a servant race, a client state.

We beat them in their home. The fact of the matter is they don't have the numbers to take us. Now isn't the time to start to torturing and forcing demands, that will only breed resentment and large scale rebellion down the road. Better to slay them all in that case.

No, no, no, now is the time to show them the benefits of working with us, rather than against us. From this point on the vast majority of the beatles will have no memory of a life that wasn't lived side by side with us. There may be some rebellions, but I believed they will be small and easily put down with the help of the ones that remain loyal.

It is better to be loved than feared.

Strange, nay heretically, independent creature they may be they offer a different perspective that could prove useful in the future.

We're not savages. Reward the prince who led this successful battle with governership of the log, have our workers fortify it and it should make for an excellent staging ground to control the whole berry bush area and a step toward further expansion into the forest as needed.

Bring to the large beetles we have prisoner berries, as their own people would, and treat the grubs that emerge from the eggs with kindness and civility. Allow them to watch us work, show them that they too can benefit from our ingenuity. In a generation our kindness will be all they've ever known.
@PrincessVampora

-@Jasper19 Druid character, Jace, has built up his druid house and is still hanging out in the starting zone being a better druid.

-his other character, Tanner the Pirate, is riding around plundering the sea routes you'd use to get to other cities. He's been having an series of conflicts with Jono the Rogue, @Sharidi37495 character, but they hadn't quite settled it yet. Recently he saved her from drowning after her crew threw her overboard because they thought she was cursed. They had a fight, and are now having a heart to heart on his ship.

- @Sanity43217 character, Boulder the Earth Mage, has been training on how to cast spells fast with a group of other earth magi. Last time they posted he'd returned to the starting town and wanted to go his own way on a boat.

- My character Maisy, with the help of Jono, has just been kind of doing stuff and getting better as a player. Right now she's doing quests in the big city of Rhea, and is maybe the only player there on account of sailing to other continents being unsafe due to rampant piracy.

- @Shadow Dragon and you are still in that cave near the starting town. He discovered a small band of orcs and is currently protecting you from them with his scythe.

I thinks that's everything. Please tell me if there's something important I missed or misinterpreted.
Maisy had been up to questing after that first one. She'd run down an underground rat ring in the reeking sewers, found some bodies kid wandering around in the wilderness, exterminated 6 more monster nests for knight captain Howzer, and spent the rest of her day delivering peoples mails all around the city. It had been a lot of fun helping these fake people with their make beileve problems, and the resulting XP has booted her up to level ten.

Now she was just wandering the city, searching for more people that had stuff for her to do and eating a fish stick. That is, a whole fish on a stick. At some point she'd overheard that if she used a fire she could cook food, so she'd found a giant ceremonial blazer in the knights guild hall and used it to cook up all the fish she'd caught into these, which she was disappointed to find were not actual fish sticks like from the freezer.

She took another big, greasy bite. They still wearn't bad though.

Not all. Prepare a special detachment that has only one mission; take one of these giant beetles alive. Wait for one of them to appear to receive offerings before launching our offensive.
Ho ho ho ho! This was the shit he'd been waiting for. The write silver glow in Gavin's hand cast weird shadows around the room as he...threatened? Archer didn't know what it did, but it seemed mighty threatening. So he threatened the guy that had strolled in here asking questions because the guy wasn't actually the guy. That guy was working for the real guy, and whoever that guy was he was influential enough to have followers and careful enough not to just walk into a weird situation himself.

Shit. He was probably the smartest guy here and he wasn't even here yet. Well, that or he just lacked confidence.

The minion went over in the corner to call up his master and, it looked like, sulk. Archer felt bad for him. "Hey, don't feel to bad buddy." He called. "Some of these powers are some absolute bullshit when it comes to getting information."

Gavin sat down and started to explain a lot of stuff Archer already knew. Angels, mission from god, strange powers, save the world, it wasn't anything he hadn't already been doing. Of course, the most he'd done for this "save the word" mission his guardian angel had given him was use his powers to build up funds because other than this he hadn't come across a real lead on what he had to do yet.

So as Gavin went on his attention was drawn elsewhere. Specifically to the girl that had slipped in as he began. She was young, younger even then their host, and had the sort of fashion sense only possessed by two groups of people; homeless and runaways. He wondered whether she was even supposed to be here or if she'd wandered inside to get out of the elements and use the water fountains.

As Gavin finished his explanation the reaction of the room so far was mixed. One guy that had come in all quiet like seemed to be all for it, but Archer wasn't surprised to see the girl as confused as she was. This whole thing did seem straight out of the playbook of one of those hoodoo guru group-think spiritual leaders. He'd be wary too if he hadn't woken up in the hospital with actual magic powers.

She did say something that caught his interest though.

He waved to Gavin. "You don't got to tell me twice. I already got paid for this so I couldn't drop it even if I wanted to. More that that though..."

He turned back to look at the girl. "I think I might be above to help with that." He said with was more confidence than his shabby appearance should allow. "Finding people is a good 65% of my regular job. Your feet just so happened to bring you to the best private eye on the east coast."

Normally that wasn't a claim he would be willing to make, but considering he now had actual superpowers he was confident it was true.

"My name's Archer." He said, drawing a crumpled card from his coat pocket and handing it to the girl. Archer Guld, it said. Private investigator. And under that a phone number that went to a melted phone sitting in a landfills somewhere. "Did you have anything besides a photo to go on?"

First of all the lost princes actions dedication is to be commended. Have the messengers relay the news to the populous before returning to him. The tale might take some of this sting out of losing the berry bush.

And about that berry bush. We needs to impress upon these beetles that actions like this won't be tolerated. Once our numbers are back up muster our forces to the the border, make it look like we're massing for an attack. But send a team of workers tunneling under the ground. These fortifications we had aren't built to our new standards, and we already know they are prone to collapse. Undermine them, bring them down, and in the resulting confusion have our forces sweep in and wipe out all beetles intruding on our territory. There are less of them than us and it would take a significant number to occupy our old defences, so this would be a terrible blow.

We can not suffer our own works being turned on us. It is offensive!
