Has happened to me for years— sometimes people decide to put predetermined plans by the wayside and you are sitting there tapping your foot. You aren’t alone in being aggravated by it. Just this year I had people not show up because they were busy playing Pokemon Go when we made plans weeks in advance. It really upset me.
Before I do any CS reviews, I contemplated on what @Rune_Alchemist had said and considered removing the whole idea of quantifying the stats; we'll only retain HP and MP. Your characters may be able to do anything, but if they decide to specialize in certain fields, they can get stats that would indicate this instead. An example would be a swordsman. They'd probably have stats such as [Strength], [Endurance], or [Swordsmanship]. These would be considered passive stats. Active stats would be spells and abilities; examples would include [War Cry] or [Bash].

Also, I was thinking of foregoing the idea of having predetermined job classes and allow everyone to create their own job class when the time to pick one comes.

So, I’ll be removing the statistics? That’s confirmed? Gives us a bit more flexibility and trust, but I was cool with either direction. As for your idea to leave job classes up to players, I think that’s cool but we should be wary of making overtly complex professions (sounds better than ‘job class’ to me, but I’m a tabletop vet). But yeah, sounds all good to me.

Also, to reiterate an inquiry— where is the server we’re going to be on centrally located? This may or may not make me change my character’s name. For example, is the server networked as an American, Oceania/Asian, or European one?

Anyway, GM. Character Sheet and OOC maybe since you already have a lot of players? Maybe a Discord server too?

Eh, never particularly been fond of those classifications but probably a bit of both? While she's probably not going be a heavy armor clad soldier, she's certainly going to be the first to vote for going in and punching the bad guy in the face and beating him up herself.

So I'm not really sure. I'm not going to say she's a tank because she's not going to be taking that many hits to start with since she doesn't wear particularly heavy armor. That said, she's going to be parrying/countering them most likely - most of her melee attacks are probably going to be built around that concept to start with. So she could definitely occupy an attacker or two for a bit. She's going to be more of a pure offensive character though, that focuses on damage dealing, agility, and counters.

Most of her 'stats' are going to be going into attack/magic attack stats probably with some thrown into agility stats with one occasionally thrown into the health stat or two. That said, later on she's definitely likely going to become more tanky with some heavier armor and some self-buffs.

Does...any of that make sense? I don't actually play MMOs a lot to be honest, so I'm not particularly into these sort of stat things since most of the time they make zero sense to me. Which is why I'm glad this RP isn't going to be focusing largely on them and one of the reasons I joined it.

I believe it would still be good to understand basic MMO terminology, I guess? Lol. Anyway, I got the answer I was looking for considering I was curious if they were going to be largely offensive, defensive, or utility in terms of approach. This gives me the idea to possibly iron out my character as a defensive fighter possibly unless we lack a good cleric or mage (which I doubt).
Welp, just so everyone knows, I have decided to make a Bloodknight/Berserker type character. I am claiming both of those characters as mine now~ xP

...now I just need a CS to finish it.

I need to figure out what category my Tinker dude falls under since that's the class he'll associate with guns.

Probably be ironic if his main weapons don't line up with that. Spider-limbed Tinker will be fun to play as if it turns out that way. Might go for a second... might...

I would guess it'd be some sort of cross-classing of rogue and tinker (if that is a thing permitted by the GM)?
The ideas of my character’s class right now are a dexterous cleric, defensive fighter, combat rogue, or utility mage at the moment… as I said on the first page, lol.
