When Trad arrived at Robert's room in the infirmary, he would find the redhead sitting up in his bed and staring out the window. When the shield-bearer approached and tried to see what it was that had captured his attention so much, he would discover that the former team leader didn't appear to be looking at anything in particular at all, and even if he walked in front of the boy's vision, he would receive no reaction. Just constant staring at something thousands of yards away. Or maybe he wasn't looking through the young Oak at all. Maybe the young hunter really was looking at nothing.
However, if Trad was truly determined to snap his teammate out of his strange daze, the shouting of his name or the feeling of a hand on his shoulder would most likely do the trick. "Huh? Oh, hey Trad. Was just doing a bit of daydreaming," Robert said, acting like he hadn't been doing anything strange just moments ago. "What's up?"
The boy certainly looked like he'd seen better days. A quarter of his face was covered in gauze to keep the cut on his head from continuing to bleed, band-aids ran up and along his arms and legs to cover the wounds left by the shrapnel of a missile, and he looked even paler than usual, which was saying quite a lot. However, that still wasn't the worst of it as his hospital gown covered the old childhood injuries on his back and the new one on his chest.

I may attempt to make it IRL and send pics. Or something. I have a budget and recently the market place where I could get tiger bones and shark fin is under investigation, so nothing too exotic either! Otherwise I'll just try my hand at a christmas cake or something.
A 10 oz wood-grilled peppercorn sirloin with a side of steak fries. He hasn't had one ever since his parents passed away so if Gren could grill him something even remotely close to how Robert's dad used to make it he'd probably owe Gren a debt he'd never be able to repay.
@Guess Who Not always! It can also be a bundle of poems and other interesting literary things, and that 100% counts as Participation for the contest. If you're making a Secret Gift, though, you also have the option to make art or webpages if you prefer visual creations for the person you're gifting! (Consider it a bit of leniency I give to those who want to make something not literary for others xD)

Yeah, that's why I had originally joined, too support a friend of mine who was posting his art on their. Too bad I ran into too many of those kinds of people to keep interest in the site.

The hell do you look at on tumblr that would make it worse? My short experience with it was a whole bunch of fangirls talking about science and politics that they didn't actually have much knowledge in, but pretended like they knew everything and that you were wrong if you had any sort of differing opinion.
I pretty much use only Safebooru, since I basically don't need any NSFW pics... :P
I do have the occasional panty shots in my folder though... <.< >.>
