If you are a fan of Warhammer 40,000 or Age of Sigmar, let me know. Maybe we can put together an RP. I play Ironjawz & Kruleboyz in AOS and Salamanders & Drukhari in 40K.

Bio

I am a veteran of the United States Army and the US Army National Guard. I spent three years on Active Duty serving in the 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) at Ft. Carson, CO, and the 3rd Armor Division at Kirch Göns, West Germany. I spent 18 years in the Army National Guard with the 26th Infantry Division "Yankee" and 29th Infantry Division (Light), "The Blue and the Gray". I was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 29th ID (L) in 2001 - 2002. I have also been reading military history articles and books since I was 10 years old. I do prefer Military Role Plays over all other genres, primarily because I have a vast knowledge of the subject including personal experiences. At the very least, my characters are always veterans.

I have been writing for pleasure for at least 35+ years but only got into forum-based Role Playing about eighteen years ago. I do enjoy Nation Role Plays and get into minute detail when designing my military. The only reason I enjoy excruciating detail in my militaries is because for me, it is fun. My education and experience on this subject afford me the insight to see the depth of the structure. It is not just a General and a large pile of soldiers. If someone wants assistance in designing an army, navy, or air force, please send me a PM. I will help. Please specify what level (echelon) or depth you would like me to go. When I say echelon, I mean Army, Corps, Division, Brigade/Regiment, Battalion/Squadron, Company/Troop/Battery, Platoon, and Squad/Section.

When I was a student in High School, I used to play Dungeons & Dragons. Recently, I have been DMing a 5e campaign of my creation for my son and his friends. 5e is so much less cumbersome than earlier editions of D&D. I do have an interest in Tolkien-esque fantasy-styled Role Plays as well. Time travel has always been a fun genre for me, but to do it well, one must have a firm grasp of historical facts.

There are only a few fanfictions I will participate in; Star Wars and Star Trek are two of them. I want to do an exclusively Klingon RP one of these days. I also avoid Canon characters.

I have real-world martial arts experience. I would love to write an RP about hand-to-hand combat, no fantasy magic chit, just hands elbows, knees, and feet. Maybe the occasional head butt thrown in to mix things up. I trained in Krav Maga for six and a half years. I earned a first-degree black belt in Krav Maga on 3 June 2017.

Krav Maga is an Israeli martial art form that employs practical self-defense techniques drawing forms & techniques from Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Taekwando. It is very brutal, demanding, and aggressive. During the seven years I trained, I have bruised two ribs, sustained several muscle pulls, and various lacerations and bruises over my body. I have received a sprained ankle and a fractured wrist. Before the first black belt test, I received a bone bruise to my right shin; where my roundhouse kicks impact. Yet, I am stupid enough to continue training. [Regardless of the physical pain, it is more fun than any other physical activity I have engaged in. Fortunately, the bone bruise healed up prior to the third and final test. EDIT: I did leave the sport over five years ago. :(]

Over two years ago I completed my first novel, a science fiction set in the 24th century. It focuses on a Private Military Corporation solely employed by the earth government. I started a second book in November 2022 and hope to work on that this summer when I have more time.

Send me a PM for a Role Play or if you would like to see what sort of an army I could build for you.

No one is nibbling on my Alamo Scouts RP and I am caught up with Blood Debt. I should have time to work on a CS for this one tomorrow. I may have to ask you 1000 questions, HeySeuss. Or I'll just read the Wiki.
@TheEvanCat@Dinh AaronMk

If you two are interested, I posted an RP called Alamo Scouts, Inc. It is a PMC based loosely on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
I never made it to Afghanistan, I got out before that got really hot. I was Preparing to go to Bosnia when the WTC got hit and in country when the Special guys went in to help the Northern Alliance. Instead of The Long Gray Line, the school for boys on the Hudson or Willy Peter, I went to OCS. Any real world experience y'all have would be appreciated. :D

Hey Seuss, I've been thinking about this for at least a week now. My problem, is as you know, I am busy. Currently, I am in Blood Debt, I am just starting Alamo Scouts and I have an upcoming 1x1 with Noxious. I may not have time for a fourth, but I'll keep you posted.
Name: Kichirō Takagi "Dragon"

Description: Kichirō, 35 is 5'8" (173cm), slender and lean, weighing 161 Lbs (73Kg). He has tousled black hair with a goatee wrapped around his mouth. Kichirō Takagi is considered a handsome man with well-defined facial features. His eye color is brown with hints of green and orange. There are various uniforms Alamo Scouts wears depending on their assignment to include civilian attire.

Personality Profile: Kichirō is a positive minded individual who takes his job seriously. He focuses on his work at hand and works hard to motivate others through positive words of encouragement rather than threats of discipline or punishments. On occasion, he has found the need to resort to threats, but prefers not to. He is confident in his abilities and in those he has worked with. Once he gets to know the people around him, he learns their traits and knows if they are trustworthy. Trust is something, former Lieutenant Takagi will offer to anyone, given the benefit of the doubt. Violate that trust, and he will hold that person in contempt. They will never regain the Lieutenant's trust; thought of as a low life.

Kichirō graduated from secondary education at the top of his class in 2039 and received an appointment to the Naval Academy at Etajima City, Hiroshima prefecture. He spent four years at the Naval Academy graduating with a degree in Information Technology. Upon graduation from the Academy, Kichirō was commissioned an Ensign in the Japanese Martime Self Defense Force.

He then attended Special Boarding Unit School and Special Security Program also at Etajima City where he trained on the procedures and techniques used by Japan's premier special operations naval unit, similar to the US Navy SEALs and the United Kingdom's Special Boat Service (SBS). He spent roughly two years in these two schools before entering the Special Boarding Unit in the Japanese Maritime Special Defense Force. Upon completion of this training, Kichirō received his promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade (LtJG).

From an early age, Kichirō began studying Shōrin-ryū, a popular Okinawan Karate form. He has been practicing it ever since and currently holds 3rd dan in this martial art form; equivalent to a third degree black belt.

He was assigned as Platoon Commander of 5 Platoon, X Squadron. The unit saw deployments to the Phillippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia and other classified locations in 2046 and 2047. In 2047, Kichirō was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the SBU's Headquarters Squadron for two years.

In 2049, Kichirō returned as Platoon Commander of 1 Platoon, C Squadron and saw deployments to Kazhakstan, Uganda, Iran, Angola, Sudan, Somalia and several other classified locations.

In 2053, Kichirō ended his time in the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force at the age of 32. He had seen significant action as a special operator for Japan and was interested in putting his skills to work in the private sector. He heard about Alamo Scouts while working on an assignment in East Africa in 2051. He thought about getting out of the Navy several times before making his decision and doing it.

Currently, Kichirō is a Long Range Reconnaissance and Surveillance (LRRS) Team Leader working for Alamo Scouts out of Forward Operating Base ROBERTSON near Darwin, Australia.

In Character

The year is 2056. The United States of America (USA) is in its second year of the war with the People's Republic of China (PRC). Most of the ground war is taking place on the Korean Peninsula, South Pacific Islands (Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, New Guinea, Philippines, Marianas, Taiwan, and Solomon Islands), Eastern Russia, Western Canada and Alaska. The war is being fought slowly, with tremendous volumes of blood being paid for every square yard taken. There is a vast naval and air war being fought, currently at parity across the Pacific Ocean.

Alamo Scouts, Incorporated is a Private Military Company (PMC) based out of San Antonio, Texas with advanced assets at their base in Darwin, Australia. It is a joint US-Australian corporation hiring experienced professional military and paramilitary personnel from the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Western Europe. The PMC specializes in intelligence gathering through reconnaissance, surveillance and deep penetration of targeted installations. Occasionally, they are called upon for direct action missions. Employees who come to Alamo Scouts have real world experience in Infantry, Cavalry, Special Operations, Commando, Special Air Service, Joint Task Force, Long Range Reconnaissance & Surveillance, Law Enforcement and/or governmental direct action units (i.e.: CIA's Special Activities Division). Applicants are generally combat veterans who have at least three or more years time in service. Applicants with experience in two or more generalized areas of expertise are given preferential treatment over younger candidates. The average age of the Alamo Scout Operative is 33.1 years of age.

Alamo Scouts, Inc. holds contracts with various Pacific rim nations including the US, Canada, Japan, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia. Hostile nations include PRC, N. Korea, Iran and Pakistan. Hostile organizations include KVA (Russian Terrorists), Daesh or Islamic State (Middle Eastern religious zealots), Taliban and the New Liberation Front (NLF) which seeks to over throw the current democratic government in Russia.

Although the war is fought in many locales in the eastern Russian Federation, Russia is not directly involved with the conflict between the USA and PRC. The Russian Federation is engaged in a protracted war with KVA and NLF organizations. There are no known organized operations involving both KVA and NLF forces working in unison as of this date. Rumor has it, they could be coming together soon.

Alamo Scouts utilize Long Range Reconnaissance and Surveillance Detachments (LRRS-D) which operate in 8-man teams. Each Alamo Scout Team plans, executes and supports its own missions with support from Alamo's Special Logistics Division (SLD). The SLD is equipped with the latest in state of the art technology to include the employment of cybernetically enhanced prosthetic limbs and implants. The SLD also provides Air, Land and Sea transport when needed and has recently given the ability to provide an orbital launch insertion method using jump pods. Alamo Scouts' Intelligence Analysis Division (IAD) gathers intelligence collected by Reconnaissance & Surveillance (R&S) teams and prepares it for dissemination to contracted nations and organizations.

All Applicants to Alamo Scouts undergo a Basic Operator Training (BOT) regimen at Operating Base Crocket near San Antonio, Texas. The BOT experience builds on the training and experience individual applicants have received from their home nation, teaches the Alamo operator how to use the PMC equipment and conduct operations according to the Alamo Scout Operations Procedures (ASOP). Applicants receive a copy of the ASOP during in processing and are expected to memorize every Tactic, Technique and Procedure (TTP) mentioned in the manual.

I am looking for six to eight military enthusiasts who either play Call of Duty or not or simply have an interest in this genre and would be willing to participate in a military themed Role Play loosely based on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfighter (COD:AW) video game. Experience with the game is unnecessary. If interested, please let me know here or by PM. Females and female characters are eagerly accepted into the Alamo Scouts. If eight writers do commit to this RP, I will role play as the team's higher headquarters, support personnel and enemy they encounter within their operation.

I will provide mission details and concepts based on real life experiences with some input from the video game. I have played COD:AW and will work gaming features into the RP as well as reality. Since this is set 40 years in the future, I will rely heavily on the COD:AW Wikipedia.
I may just run with Alamo Scouts. It appears that four people are interested in that one. I will probably do the overview sequences rather than RP a character in an R&S teams; paint the scene, RP the bad guys and move a scene forward if it stalls. We may pick up a few more people once it is in OOC format. I'll go with Casual (Advanced) so you can do one paragraph posts or larger if needed. 6-8 is ideal, but four is cozy. Expect the OOC to be posted by Friday. Tues, Wed and Thurs are my busy days. I am more active Fri - Mon.
