Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Is the rioting and BLM brought up yet?

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

How much of... uber-friendliness are we talking about here? I'm okay with some fondling and touching.
Maria heard her explanation. And she had to agree with her. They indeed knew nothing about this world, this land, this country, and the people living in it. The secretary had not told them anything about their task so they had to be the one to find out their goal.

Maria was quite impressed with her coolness and her knowledge in gathering intel.

"I-I see," she stuttered, blushing a little from embarrassment. "Then we shall check out the other places. We will leave the tavern to you."

After Sophia leaved, Maria turned back to the group. "So, we'll be going to the shops first then?" she asked them.

Huh, I didn't write that.

Well, now Lily is open for some spooky interaction with Bea. Bea should probably try to calm her down before she packs her bags and leaves.

@TheHangedMan
Sorry for getting to her first!
Lily looked at Hinako incredulously. She didn't expect a response so... casual and nonchalant when she told her about her little clothing problem. She would be horrified if she was forced to walk around with a lifted skirt, showing off her purple panties to everyone. Panties were a girl's pride after all, and you wouldn't show it to just anyone.

Then again, Hinako wore a skirt even shorter than her own already quite short skirt. Maybe she liked showing them off.

"Well, I like to think of myself as strong," Lily replied. "No dragon thinks of themselves as weak. Our stubborn pride just simply wouldn't allow it. Though perhaps not as strong as those dragons you are talking about. We western dragons don't really know much about our eastern counterparts." She shrugged.

"I understand. I'll take you up on that," Lily said with a smile after she heard Hinako thanking her. Once again, she was so polite and grateful. Dragons loved that sort of people.

"So, shall we go then?"

Outside the auditorium, the students were also served snacks and drinks, in case they wanted some fresh air. When Lily and Hinako arrived, the party seemed to be still going on.

"Here we are," Lily said, putting her hands on her waist, "Not so hard now, is it?" she gave a little grin towards the fox girl. "Now we'll just have to blend in and do things like socializing. I just hope I can find somebody interesting among--wait, that girl..."

Lily's eyes squinted as she focused her gaze towards a certain black-haired girl wearing a warm-looking green fur jacket. When she glanced at her as she scanned her surroundings, she sensed something... something wrong coming out from the girl. But now, when she looked at her closely, she understood the reason.

"She--she's a Great One!" Lily said, nearly shouting. "Hinako, look at her!" She grabbed Hinako's hands to catch her attention and then pointed at the girl.

For the first time in her life, Lily was terrified. The Great Ones. Eldritch abominations that came from outside this world. She had heard tales about them. Her mother once told her that it was one of the few things that dragons feared. The relationship of a Great One to a dragon was that of a dragon to a mouse. Not even the eldest dragons could take on a fully realized and matured Great One.

"Don't blink! Focus on her and you would perceive her true form!" she ordered to the kitsune.

She had no idea what a Great One was doing in a place like this. But she was sure as hell that she wouldn't want to stay around to find out. It's a shame but she had to leave this school right now.

"Quick! We must hide before she noticed us!" Lily said as she tugged at Hinako's hand.

Baneposting? In my roleplay?
Leila didn't really notice the archer walking towards her until he was standing beside her, so she jumped a little when he suddenly greeted her.

"P-pleasure to meet you, Sir Garen," she replied politely. She was used to do so ever since she was a little girl, even though she was already tomboyish back then.

"And as for your offer for aid, I shall happily partake in that. But not now. She is indeed a demon, but she hasn't done anything wrong. Well, not too wrong anyways," she said with a chuckle. "We shall keep an eye on her, and the moment she crosses the line, there and then we take her out."

Leila smiled at the ranger. She was glad she found an ally in this mess.

She then saw the lizardman agreeing with Remus' plans. He seemed to be a reasonable person, so perhaps...

"Sir Garen, what do you think?" she turned towards the elven archer once more, "Do you believe his words? I can buy that he wants to kill the Hero but I'm pretty sure he will stab us in the back once our role in his plan is over. And that ritual... it seems fishy. Maybe it will secretly bind the user to his will or something like that.

"I am fine with cooperating with demons and the like, as long as I can trust them that is."

As she talked, she noticed another person had joined in the fray. She could tell it was a her, judging by her body. But she couldn't see her face, seeing how it was covered with a hood. She then just sat there, looking at them.

How many more people would gather, she wondered.
Then, Hinako would be a good candidate for Lily's roommate.

Huh, we share rooms now? Thought everyone got their own rooms since it's a wealthy school after all.

I don't mind though. More chance for character interaction that way.
Leila could see right away that the demon lord's offer just made the others even more suspicious. The musclebound man readily expressed his distrust, saying how he didn't trust magic in general due to his experience. She herself didn't understand magic that much, but she knew most magic could be used for good or evil; it only depended on the user. So there was no sense on distrusting it. Of course, it would be a different matter if it was dark magic...

The lizardman asked why the demon lord would need them if he could just use the ritual himself. Leila thought he indeed had a point. You wouldn't need this many people if you could master all magic. You could fight handily against the Hero with just yourself. Maybe add one other person to tip the scales.

The elf archer brought up that for what the Hero did now, he still did good by killing the demon lord. And there was a good, no, almost guaranteed chance that Remus would just be the next Tyrant if he were to depose the Hero. Leila had the same thought, and she was glad that he voiced it for her. The ultimate goal would be to get rid the world of any tyrant, not just the Hero. They must not be short-sighted in the matter.

Then, another man spoke up. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the current stalemate, before he volunteered to be the one trying the ritual first. He then dragged a nearby undead to be used as the sacrifice. Leila was pretty sure though that undead could not be sacrificed seeing how they didn't have souls and all.

The demon lord answered the lizard's and the archer's question. Well, more like sidestepping it since he just said that he didn't do this for any of them. He just didn't want to let the world be destroyed since he might be reincarnated in the far future for his second chance in conquering the world. He then remarked on the man's foolishness on trying to sacrifice an undead. And he said that Kolonis would know on the drawbacks of the ritual. Leila had no idea who Kolonis was, but she assumed they were someone present here. He also said that even if he wanted to kill them, he couldn't, for the monk girl would not allow it. Leila just hoped it were true, and that the monk girl couldn't be overcome by him.

A female figure in a robe then spoke up. She addressed the demon lord with a surprisingly casual manner, as if she had known him for years. Was this the Kolonis he was talking about? She then made a speech to the group, how the Hero was unstable, and how he could inadvertently destroy the world and even the Underworld as well. She then told both the "moral" folks and the demons present to basically suck it up and unite, for if they wouldn't, the world may indeed end. She couldn't help thinking that the "moral" folks part was directed to her. Of course, she would be willing to cooperate, even with demons. But there would always be a line that she would not cross. And that was final. She also noticed how she said "demons". Could it be that they were more demons here present other than that haughty one? She looked around to find any sign of demonic presence. She could not find anything however. Their human disguise must be pretty good.

The musclebound man spoke up again. This time, he actually agreed, and he vowed to cooperate since they were all here to kill the hero. Not her though. She still wished to talk to him first. And only if he truly had turned evil, then she would be willing to kill him.

Suddenly, she felt her sword being tugged upon. And then she felt someone putting their arms over her and pressing against her.

"W-what the--"

She looked back and she was greeted by the haughty demon's grinning face.

Before she could do anything, the demon made a speech to group, saying how they should all get along. And then, she whispered to her ears how she wanted to get along with her real well, with a mocking tone. She then flew away, letting go of her and her sword.

Leila was flabbergasted. She didn't know how to react. So she just stood there, watching the demon talk to the demon lord. And without her noticing, her face reddened a little, both from anger and from embarrassment for the demon's mocking tease.
