Stand out and stay in Year 2 is my vote

Magic really was the key to the kid's heart. Too bad Eris' knowledge of it was so little that he would likely just embarrass himself if he ever put himself in a conversation with that at its topic. He'd have to find a way to use that to get him under his thumb one way or another. The thought almost made him groan--another thing to add to his ever growing list of crap to do. Great stars above, it never ends. Oh well, life would get boring if he didn't have something to always do.

Wait, what were they talking about?

Oh, right, magic. Eris was vaguely aware of the majors (at least from what he remembered; he was pretty sure some mage had bored him to tears on the subject but he couldn't remember anything for the life of him) and paused for a second to think. "I'm surprised you didn't just go for--" His hands clapped together before spreading apart. "--the quickest way to destroy something." Unless he wasn't as violent as Eris thought. The idea of the kid being all bark and no bite did come to mind once or twice, but that would be kinda disappointing if he was honest with himself.

He mulled over the two he decided on. He could still see Transmutation being more helpful in a tight spot, but whatever. "If you're going to get into professional dueling, I know you need a minimum requirement of certain Protection spells just to participate in some tournaments. They vary, of course, but enough vampires have bitched and moaned about it to make the officials take a stance on that," He vaguely remembered someone telling him that. "I guess I'd question if having an impenetrable defense is worth it considering very little can get past metal anyway."

"On the other hand, having different ways for offense titillates the mind and keeps things interesting," He commented. "It'll probably get boring hurling different shapes of metal at people. Spicing it up seems more up your alley. But then you consider that you're left vulnerable if something ever does get past the metal...tough call."

The only one messing up honorifics on purpose in this, for me, seems to be Hero's character because they have that irreverent, almost delinquent-like energy to them.

Rio says FUCK YO HONORIFICS
Are there different fantasy races?
I don't wanna sound needy after we just got accepted, but can we do CHAR posts in hiders? it makes everything a lot easier to read.

There's few enough people that having them not hidden would actually work out better! So anyone that has em in hiders can please unhide them.

Or else.

:D

Name
Yukinari Rio / Yukiya Rurizakura
幸也 璃桜 / 雪也 璃桜

Arcana
Strength

Age
15

Personality Traits
Kenkōichi's usual suspect and general headache, Rio is a hot-headed girl whose brashness causes her a lot of trouble. Her tendency to be blunt regardless of who she speaks to makes her come off as cold and uncaring and she is unapologetic about who she hurts so long as she gets to speak her mind freely. There's an underlying sense of arrogance in the way she carries herself, often appearing to be snobbish--though that flies out the window the moment she starts yelling and shouting. Her aggressive demeanor is usually enough to keep people away and her general distrust pushes away the rest. When she isn't riled up, she's surprisingly on the quieter side, preferring to keep to herself. She's extremely expressive, her deadpan looks and scowls obvious even if she does manage to keep her comments to herself.

Backstory
Rio arrived like a hurricane and completely blindsided the staff--no one seems to know where she came from or why she's attending Kenkōichi International Academy. Despite numerous complaints about her attitude and tendency to get into brawls, she has yet to be suspended or expelled. The staff has been baffled by this, though they are reassured by the principal that she is simply to be disciplined and he would take care of contacting her parents. Said parents are either overseas or nonexistent according to some rumors, although no one seems to be too interested in where she's from and are more concerned about wrangling her under control.
From what people have learned, Rio is a latchkey kid currently residing in town with no authority figure in sight. She outright refuses to talk about it, although has let slip that she's an only child. She's not entirely familiar with Kenkōichi but does know where most major landmarks are. She also has some awareness around the town's borders, often taking any tussles there in an effort to get both police and the school off her back.

Gear
Rio specializes in physical combat, her participation in 'gang' fights giving her plenty of experience--she carries around a baseball bat outside of campus on occasion for protection.

Ready to rumble

The rest of her day was uneventful, but Cara supposed it meant at this point she was finally starting to get used to things. Her initial instinct had been to find her sister once classes ended, but she supposed that she should take Adonna's advice and give the girl her space. Maybe for the better, she didn't want to come off as smothering or anything. What she did want to put her energy into would be a good workout, and with gym bag in hand, that would be exactly where she would be headed once she got changed.

She could never remember if the university's gym had its own changing room, always changing in the bathroom and arriving from another entrance. Eventually, she planned on renting a locker or something. Did they have those here? She should probably find out, if she wasn't in class or at home the gym was usually where she'd be. Putting on her headphones, she queued up a peppy song to give herself more energy. She was really to rumble about two minutes in, stopping only to remember that she needed to move her bike. Ugh, why didn't London just have parking like any normal city?!

As she walked, the fog surrounding her seemed to be thick. She didn't think anything of it until her signal gave out, stopping her music. "Of course," She muttered to herself, giving the screen a look. No signal? She was going to give that salesman a piece of her mind, she specifically went on this phone plan for coverage here! Ignoring it for now, she stuffed her phone into her pocket and kept walking. And kept walking. And walking? "Uh...?" She blinked a few times, deciding that she must have made a wrong turn. She should have reached the street by now, she couldn't have been that hopeless, right?

Coming to a stop, Cara swore she saw someone doubled over in front of her. Without thinking, Cara hussled over, dropping her bags as she knelt down next to him. "Hey! You okay?" She asked him.
