But if worse does come to worst, I just want each and every one of you to know how much you mean to me. You're one of the two groups of people in my life that give me purpose and backs me up when I'm feeling defeated. It means a lot to me.

I refuse to believe that we'll have a goodbye. We've managed two and a half years of this thing through thick and thin, and we can't let puny circumstances of life defeat us. There's one more year before three of us leave, gaining freedom to shape our own paths and follow whatever road we choose. Like it or not, we've all entered something bigger, an outlet of raw creativity and ideas gathered together in one place, where the unlikeliest of friends in the most diverse situations have met and grown the tightest of bonds. So no, we won't end up saying goodbye, because we won't lose you. You mean too much.

-Soren- They?

One of the other groups?
<Snipped quote by Host>

Genos: You do??

<Snipped quote by Mammalia>

Genos: Yes.

*Smiles slightly*
I understand fearing your mother.
<Snipped quote by Host>

Yeah, I contradicted myself when I said "only option" and "last resort".

I second the motion.

Things will be okay. I know it.
<Snipped quote by Host>

"Annoying" him is the only way left to do it. Eventually, there is nothing he can do to stop it. Even under total punishment, he would not be free from the plea each day. The only way to stop it would be to kick them out. One day, he would have to realise that his family is not happy. If nothing else works, this is a last resort.

No, we have options. He has one year left.

Look guys. I'll handle it. And one way or the other, I will get things to work out. And I will at least try to inform you all about it when/if I can.

We're a team, man. We want to help you.
<Snipped quote by Host>

Well, of course not. I actually think almost all of them have gotten rid of it.

Well, see my new suggestion.

Annoying him would be unwise.
<Snipped quote by Host>

As my mom and I agreed.

Why don't the two of you talk him out of thinking it? Is he really so stubborn as to stick to a rule if he's the only one satisfied with it?

<Snipped quote by Host>

I know a lot of families who either used to or still have that rule. It's sad.

<Snipped quote by Host>

Well, I meant that he would be obligated to listen to them. This wasn't made out of a religious bias, it was made out of my observation that normally, people consider the word of the leaders of a church to be important. But I would suppose that if it makes him mad it's not the way to go. This is really a bad position. A father should never be so adverse to listening, but when he is, your options for action besides prayer deplete to almost zero.

That doesn't make it any less of an idiotic rule.

Obligated to listen, perhaps, but not to change.
<Snipped quote by Host>

I can only play video games on the weekends. I won't be on enough to actively participate.

What? That's a stupid rule.
<Snipped quote by Host>

butbutbut
aren't the leaders of the church important
why is it different

It doesn't matter how important they are. Just because something is religious doesn't make it the best option.

At best, his dad would get mad.
At worst, it would make his dad go out of his way to make it painful for him.
