What language, where'd you get it, how much did you do on your own, recovering images is a good thing, if you need help I can either look over it or if I have no idea given it's structure I can pass it to a friend who's more experienced atm.
It's probably C++. I could have written a similar crawler, but this is much more refined with better and more advanced options. It's HTTracker, which has already logged 1500 pages after 35 minutes. It seems like telling it to ignore robots.txt fixed all the issues I was having. If it doesn't work, it's just a matter of fine-tuning the settings. However, the pages it has already saved tell me that it is working correctly.

B) When Mahz described Guildfall, he said the host scrubbed the servers. The only way taking command of the server OldGuild was hosted on would help would be if it kept records of all files for archival purposes like ifunny does. However, because of the way he worded it (particularly "scrubbing"), it appears that all data is lost forever.

On the bright side, it wasn't that much in the scope of MR. As it stands, I can retrieve most of ifunny. However, (unless it's changed), I can only access my own comments. Fortunately, I posted about 50% of everything, even back on ifunny, so there isn't much lost.
