Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

Question: should NPC's have 'memories' of Yggdrasil? For example, should Lexus realize that the new world is not the same as the Yggdrasil world based on names of countries, geography, etc.?

The NPCs do have 'memories' of Yggdrasil and should therefore act accordingly. Having lived in the world according to whatever backstory and lore the player character gave him. The NPC then kind of fills in all the gaps left out by the player given lore, meaning there will be quite a few things about NPCs that even their creator wouldn't necessarily know about.
@Lugubrious@BurningDaisies You're hired, congratulations.

Hmm well whatever the case, I have come to the conclusion that I will be relegating my character to a more background position. I don't have the time to both use a 'player character' and be a 'game master'. Alright so here is what we'll do. First off I need a list of people who are going to be together and then tell me the general location of where you plan to go which will influence what kind of npcs you will run into as well as plot lines you'll end up crossing.

Now from what I have read, some people like a more sandbox type approach, like @Rune_Alchemist while others prefer reacting and playing along with story events like @Thecrash20. It might be in your best interest in that case to split up accordingly so I know where to concentrate my efforts. Once people have been grouped up then things will be easier to plan.
@Rune_Alchemist @BurningDaisies No worries. Things are chaotic now, but with my GM-approved little event done with, everyone's free to pursue their own ends at their own pace.

I imagine there will be a little bit of talking among everyone out in front of the wreckage (those who're there so far include my charcters, Revenmar, Selena, Senna, Tania, Lena, and Cain) and then it's off to explore this wonderful world. I've already come up with a few things that I can get up to, but I do have a question for you, @IceHeart. You mentioned this in the OP:

<Snipped quote>

I take it to mean that we have creative liberty to invent areas, settlements, and all sorts of fun stuff. Would you be interested in starting some sort of list of player-made locations/organizations/etc?

If you look at my first post in the OOC you will find an Important Locations list, of which I have already put in a few things from the original setting, and was planning to continue to expand upon with locations created by players and of course myself. So I am way ahead of ya on that note.

I think the first thing that needs to be established is groups. There also needs to be guild communication between members. If you do not have travel groups, then you will have those RPers who cannot function role playing with themselves while those already in a clique will continue to selfishly RP and not care. Thus the player drop outs will start. There has to be organization if you are trying to make a non-GM-guided sandbox game. If this is GM-guided, then I rest my case. @IceHeart

Yes groups is a good idea as it would be too chaotic to have everyone together. Due to the size of this role play this will become more of a sandbox type game, although I do have plans for some GM-guided events. For example I will be taking charge of part of the invasion force by the Beastmen into Dragonic Kingdom territory, so if your characters end up going South there is a possibility of running into the Beastmen. Also if you need some kind of event to happen in your area when you feel like you need something to spice up your roleplay I can happily add some kind of plot point to help you along.
@hivekiller
No, the map is very incomplete. It has most of the big cities for the areas the map shows, but even with those most of the cities don't even have names for one thing and there are plenty of little villages and places of interest even on the map itself. Also we'll just be pretty much making up the Dragonic Kingdom which is just barely on the map in the first place.

As for the time...eh well I did make the clock say around 7 o'clock, but since I never mentioned what it looked outside the guild hall it kinda transformed into night somehow. Thankfully its not like we need the clock to be accurate so we'll just be going along with the midnight thing due to time distortions and all that.
@13org
Trying to enforce a posting order with this many people would just be suicide. That said, people should be careful with their posting when they are interacting with other players. Use common sense and try not to leave other people in the dust if you can help it.

Considering so many people are at the guild hall already I would suggest not going there, wandering or the village is a good idea.

As for the Katze Plains, you can find that on the map I put in the OOC. Not sure why in the world a shepard and his flock are near undead territory though, as the Katze Plains is notorious for being an undead breeding ground as well as the area the Re-Estize Kingdom and Baharuth Empire do their annual war. I suppose if its on the outskirts of undead territory and near the mountains it would be relatively safe though.
@hivekiller

Hmm, well the character seems alright. Considering how many people are already here, what's one more? Come on in!

Well things should get easier after a brief time skip and characters split off into groups or go solo.
@Lugubrious
HideYourMen's level is actually 95 instead of a hundred, due to some unfortunate deaths before the game ended.
@13org

I'd say that's a safe bet.
@IceHeart

Those who are currently at the city (aka. not inside a guild hall or anything) Will be sent to a random location?

Pretty much, since unless you are in the guild hall which got transferred over with everything inside, if you were outside then you would just be plopped into the world at a random location. Just try to put your location somewhere in relation to where the guild hall is, in the mountains above the Dragonic Kingdom, like maybe you find yourself lost in said mountains, or perhaps below the mountain range. Also when you find locations of interest, like say a city, tell me what it is so I can add it to the important location list that everyone can look at if they end up in that same location in the future.

@IceHeartIs it extremely crucial to the plot or story line for all characters in this game to be where the Guild Hall was at the time of the warp?

No. Though certainly those who start in the guild hall will be better off and have some initial support to deal with their new circumstances.
Advent Imminent

While more and more people disappeared as they bade their final farewells to a game that they loved, or in rare cases hated, especially if they were pked a lot, HideYourMen was busy flirting around with random men. His character had already managed to make a few player characters leave prematurely just to get away from the excessive flirting his female character was giving. Then there were those who responded in character which made it even more hilarious.

HideYourMen sneaked up upon a rather robust looking Tiger demi-human character and placed her hands on his shoulders. "Such a powerful looking beast, I bet your prowess is known throughout your people. How about we get to know each other better."

The Tiger man turned around slowly, allowing HideYourMen's hands to slip over to the front without trouble. "I hear many compliments from beautiful women but I have yet to see such a lovely creature as yourself."

"Oh you are just too kind, now how about we get a little closer." As the two seemed to be getting into an intimate moment, it was rather funny to watch since of course the mouths didn't move which made the whole exchange look rather comical. The Tiger-man's eyes glowed as he activated a reveal status spell and in pure roleplay acting fashion, recoiled from the snake's touch upon learning her racial identity.

"Foul, heathen bred snake! Away with you and your devilish species!" The Tiger-man did a loud snarl emoji, which was unique to demi-human races, and stomped away in anger. It was all quite hilarious but such roleplaying days would soon be gone, as David had no plans on joining another MMO after this one, it did prevent him from being the best he could at his job, plus playing as a female in a somewhat realistic environment was perhaps not the best thing for him mentally.

HideYourMen did the /shrug, command and walked over to a dark skinned servant, a low-level NPC that was one of a few who he had brought over for the end. The NPC was tall, dressed like a high-ranking Egyptian official with white robes and various gold and jewel laded accessories. Of particular interest was a gold and ruby fitted collar around his neck which was a symbol of this NPC belonging to HideYourMen. Basically his story was that he was one of his character's man slaves that she kept around, but aside from a little restriction of freedom he really had nothing to complain about while in the service of a Goddess.

"You'll always stay by my side my wonderful servant."

"You are my life Mistress." Came the NPC's response along with a dignified bow as a show of respect to his owner.

"Yes, all would have infinite pleasure if they but bowed down and worshiped me, but alas it looks like my time on this plane of existence is done." A large clock had been installed at the back of the guild hall, the two hands were but a tick away from finding their place on the twelve mark. Fireworks had already started by this point as the few remaining people left counted down the final moments. Deciding to make as big a scene as possible, HideYourMen stood up on the most heavy laden table she could find, knocked over a bunch of random items in the process, and lifted up a golden goblet to the sky as if to praise the sun with its bright liquid.

"I thank all of you who decided to celebrate tonight and have stayed for these final moments! May the times we spent her never be forgotten! May our legends live on and our craziness never cease! Behold! The Apocalypse has come!" HideYourMen pointed with her goblet toward the clock as the hands clicked into place on the twelve, then something strange occurred.

While everyone expected their screens to go black as the game came to a close, instead a strange ringing could be heard in their ears and the world appeared fuzzy. David could feel his head start to tingle with a strange sensation as the annoying sound assaulted his senses, he certainly hadn't expected the end to be like this. Thankfully after about 4 seconds, the ringing stopped and the world came back into focus.

David blinked a few times in confusion, brought the goblet down to eye level and saw the red liquid swirl around at the bottom. This was puzzling as he could not recall Yggdrasil having such a realistic reaction for a liquid in a cup. He then realized quite few things, he could smell the sweetness of the drink, the clock was no longer on twelve but appeared to point to 6:47, also why in the world did he feel like he had two weights on his chest?

David Lording took a sip, he could feel the refreshing coolness of the drink as it slid down his throat, this was not something the game system should be capable of. Confused he dropped the drink which smashed onto the table and proceeded to douse its contents onto the food there. There was a lot more interaction with the environment from a simple goblet with raspberry wine than should have been possible.

The dark-skinned servant looked troubled as he retrieved the goblet and presented it back to his avatar while saying, "Is something the matter my mistress? Please tell me if there is anything I can do with my meager abilities to make you feel better? Perhaps you wish for me to give your divine grace a message?"

David looked over at the suddenly talking servant, saying all sorts of things he had never programmed into the NPC, and even more strange was the fact his lips, moved. "Errm, just shut up for a minute and let my brain process what's happening." All joy from before had vanished as David tried to figure out just what was going on. Had the end of the server somehow caused the system to malfunction and started to give him hallucinations? It seemed like it had to be some kind of dream but...everything felt so real, and he could acutely feel a certain lack of clothing on his body which should not be a thing considering it was just his avatar.

What in the world was happening?
