Sana said another retort, and it did ring some truth and merit. Wariness is a good trait, and before he could reply she ran off. Walking behind the wagon, his thoughts were wrapped around his outburst, I wonder why I was outraged to that degree. he thought, pondering to himself. Before he knew it, Ellyn was next to him and began singing a song in an unknown language, but it was soothing to the ears. Closing his eyes, a repressed memory of his younger years triggered in his head,

Artos' parents had just died a few months ago, and he was still dealing with their untimely deaths. His uncle had sent him to do a request from a personal friend, the request detailed a retrieval of an item that was rumored to be around the area. He was paired with another young Magus, a half orc, half human. She was called 'Turael', and Artos didn't really get along with her, his distrust and prejudice of orcs had gotten in the way of that. Their friendship did gradually get better over time. Long story short, the mission was successful, but Turael was captured, tortured and eventually left to die on a road. Many people passed by, and left the half orc to her demise and some even spat on the Magus as they walked by. By the time Artos found her, she was already at death's door, and with a smile she sent him off with a 'goodbye.'

His eyes slowly opening near the end of the hymn, and a single tear escaped his eye and with a sigh, he remembered why he himself is not prejudiced and biased towards any of the races. His glare had all but left, and now he went back to his relatively normal self. "Thanks, I needed that." he said towards Ellyn with a slight smile. "You can go rest in the wagon, I'm fine now." he continued after seeing her yawn. Noticing that the male elf with the pointy ears was glaring at him for some unbeknownst reason, Looks like three might be after my life, well I guess I should apologize to Hugh. So atleast I could worry about one less. he thought to himself with a sigh. Placing his tome in his pouch, he stopped Hugh in his tracks "Apologies for the outburst." he said, swiftly bowing his head, and with that he began walking away, behind the wagon again, reaching for his tome and began reading.

Tension so stronk, getting second hand from reading it.

A little IC drama is better for development.

Edit: Now three people might want to kill Artos.
I'm going to bed :) goodnight everyone

Nite.
most likely, and Ellyn seems to be taking a liking to Artos now thanks to what he done to the orc :P

Welp, if he's alive by then
I have a feeling Ellyn will have to fascinate all you guys some point in this roleplay... xD

Sooner rather than later probably lol

With Hugh staring back at Artos, "It was pretty clear that with your 'righteous' eyes and omni-science, all orcs would be murderers. Like this one, he clearly stabbed me as he barely managed to utter a 'thank you'." he scowled, "I'm sure that gives us the right to dictate who or what lives, huh." he continued before continuing his strut towards the wooden wagon.

His anger was basically radiating like an aura, and his glare still present. As he walked past the woman, Sana, she spat a weak threat. "So were you going to relinquish the same fate the orc would have had to me?" he replied glaring sideways towards her as he was walking, his scarlet eyes darkening further. Reaching the wagon, he assumed his earlier position and pulling out the tome again, he began reading slowly, eyeing if any arrows would pierce him.
I legit fear for Artos' life right now.
@Ewillden

Ah, a friend of mine wants to join,
do you mind?

As for the orc, I hope he keeps Artos alive.

Still on the sandy floor trying to regain his mana and catch his fatigues breaths. Artos was clearly irked, glaring at the proud paladin, "I thought paladins were meant to look through with impartial eyes, and are supposed to be the epitome of justice, order and righteousness." Artos spat, "Well, I guess my supposition was of no regard." he continued, his glare growing ever contemptuous. Glancing at Ellyn and nodding at her thanks.

"There is no real reason to apologize, Ellyn." he said strongly, "Keep your petty biases out of your reasoning, it blurs the glasses of your infallible judgments." Artos ridiculed, still sporting the same glare "Why don't we just murder that dangerous orc, the one laying there, clearly posing danger." he gestured his head to the fainted orc, "...and how about we leave the unconscious ones, who exhibit NO danger, alone?" Artos' opinions of them had dropped, drastically, except a name few.

The injured orc had suddenly sprung to life, and with a hand, Artos accepted his offer and was pulled up by a strong arm, "Be careful of these individuals, they might just murder you out of prejudice." he mocked, "And don't mention it, you should really be thanking that Elf over there." before walking back to a wagon, with a vexed aura surrounding Artos.
