Liatris Lógios

Appearance:

Liatris is generally unkempt and dishevelled, he usually dons loose robes that drape and lazily enwrap him. His hair is a dark black, with slightly grey tips towards the edge. It is usually messy and long, sometimes tied slackly behind him with a small band so as to not get any hair obstructing his vision whilst reading. He has a relatively good looking face, with fair facial features, as expected of lógios clan members.

Personality:

Liatris is generally easygoing and patient with people he converses with. Most of his time is spent on reading dusty tomes and old books and as such, he is somewhat socially awkward when trying to socialisize with other people and come off as lacking in experience.He also has a real thirst for knowledge and a general curiosity at learning and accumulating things he does now know or understand. This means that if anything makes him curious, he almost won't stop at anything to sate his curiosity.

He especially finds the monsters interesting, all with different physiologies, but won't refrain from killing them should they present any danger towards him.
Liatris is also wise, maybe due to his overexposure of books he has acquired a trait where can easily identify a person's character, so to speak.

History:

Liatris was born under the head of the illustrious Lógios clan, his father has had a one night tryst with an unknown woman, which resulted in Liatris' birth. This fact wasn't spread around and is only known towards the most trusted members of the clan. Maybe being able to be found out if sought after voraciously.

The fact that he was only half of his father's blood caused him to be shunned and generally ignored by his full-blooded siblings and his father's wife. Where both of them typically have a dislike for Liatris' bastard blood. The fact that after years that his father announced that Liatris was to be made head of the clan soon after shocked his family, however Liatris did have an unusual aptitude with the ability bestowed upon the Lógios clan, being able to use it at the young age of 13, and is growing rapidly to master it despite it being intrinsically difficult, with the head of the clan mastering it after many decades.

Since then Liatris has led the clan on many missions that were successes, with many of the clan members who were wary of him now wanting him to lead after the head retires. All except the family members who knew the truth of his birth, they angrily told the head day after day that he shouldn't inherit the clan due to Liatris' half blood. Since then Liatris and his family members (except his father, who was the only one who treated him with warmth and love) are at odds, and somewhat estranged with one another, with a small part of Liatris wanting to prove himself to them.

Clan Description:

The Lógios is a clan of savants and academics, with Lógios meaning 'scholar' in Greek. They strive and have a united thirst for knowledge of the lost world. Majority of the members are found indexing and recording information of the world. With the most notable one being the indexation of the beasts/monsters around the world.

They are one of the most versatile in hunting down beasts. The clan typically notes down every beast/monster they have 'hunted', making notes of its weaknesses, general size, description and have a system of classing the danger through a ranking system of F to SS. They also illustrate the beasts, making Lógios one of the most artistic clans around as it is needed for the indexation of the monsters. The clan usually passes this information to other clans, with the fees differing towards the size/prosperity of each clan.

Many of the clan members who usually join are people who want to know more about the world, or those particularly interested with the indexed monsters.

Clan Ability:

Energy manipulation: The Lógios clan can manipulate energies around them, making it visible whilst glowing an unnatural bright yet dark blue. The energy can then be fashioned at the behest of the clan member using it, only the most proficient in this ability can truly bend the energy at their whim. The most general and easiest use is to instill it within a handle and form the blade from it, requiring great concentration to maintain. Many have said that the energy is a bucking horse, not yielding easily to even the most willed individuals.

The bolt of energy can easily cut through most materials, with it's edge generally being based on the experience of the wielder, generally on the concentration being used. More older users can will it to cut through almost anything but the more inexperienced wielders will have difficulty in cutting even the most stringiest material.

For some peculiar reason that has stumped lógios clan from the beginning of the clan was the reason why their eyes glowed a pale teal whilst using their powers. They reasoned that it only ever happens when in use of their powers, and that the intensity of the colour depended on how adept the user is at the ability. With the more experienced users glowing a brighter, more luminous teal and the younger ones glowing a weaker, and paler teal. These eyes also glowed in the dark, giving them vision over the darkness, but also making their presence known whilst in the darkness.

The ones known for actually being able to manipulate or 'tame' this energy throughout the history of the Lógios clan can be counted with two hands. The only ones alive being the head of the clan and Liatris, who is still training to do so.

Liatris can form the energy to any way he can imagine, but his most freqent use is the form a bolt of energy that differs in size but is normally small. He commands this energy around with the flick of his hands, and cuts easily through the monsters/beasts he fights. This bolt is also notably fast, almost whizzing by in a blur.

About the power thing, what I had in mind was that only the elites were able to access the power due to its difficulty in usage. I wasn't sure if 5 or 10 for the elites though. Whilst the rest of the members are foot soldiers or scholars that help around.

Levi never intended to underestimate Umbra's men, but for them to counter his own move with gravel was clever and limited vision of them long enough that Flare and Laser could run out of the house, apparently having agreed that Laser would look for Scarlet and Reaper. Flare exuded flames from his mouth once more from the entrance, narrowly missing Turn Back, the flame now flying towards him.

With another breath he channeled electricity to his legs once more. Glancing the at flame and the uncouth woman, he slid downwards right under the intense flames and found himself landed near a wall. Hastily taking out two small knives and conducting his electricity into them before throwing both of them towards the shoulder-blades of Spore. Then using the wall to propel himself, he charged directly her, travelling closely to his thrown knives.

Fast, Flare was fast but he did have fire-based powers so thrust was to be expected. His kukris barely missing it's intended target and landing on the wall behind Flare. A gust of fire now flying towards him and Turn Back, unfortunately with the training he's had with Avery who threw lightning frequently at him, fire was at a snails pace very slow in comparison. Levi thought he could handle himself so he used his speed to get to his stationary kukris stuck on the wall and retrieved them. The flame going over Turn Back, it seems like Levi thought he could absorb the fire or move out of the way.

"Levi, Reaper!"
"Fall back, get to Tank!"

Levi didn't like being ordered to do anything, but reluctantly did so. A blur of yellow appearing near the wall he was at, crushed wooden flooring from his initial upthrust towards Tank. He appeared next to Tank and set his eyes on who they were just fighting. Levi only knows bits and pieces from the conversation they were having simply because of the utter concentration he had at the group. From what he got, they wanted Reaper to dip out of Tank's colossal shadow and carry Shifter out to a safe place before joining them again.

Levi then took his peculiar stance because of his kukris, apparently they had to hold out waiting for Reaper to come back, and Levi didn't mind, instead harnessing his energy and channeling his lightning to encircle him and his weapons. He glanced back at Turn Back whom had now assumed a defensive stance, his weapon rippling with a bright purple energy, and Tank who did the same.

Looking forward once more, his eyes begin to glow an even brighter shade of dull yellow, and he began exerting energy from himself and the crackle of his electricity growing more deafening and raucous. Said energy that was distributed throughout his body then began to concentrate on his left arm, after a few seconds, with the majority of electricity now fused onto his left hand he slammed the floor. An arc of brilliant, yet dull, amber-yellow lightning, furiously crackling against the silent stillness. The shot started from Levi and cascaded outwards in a triangular motion towards the other group, fortunately, Tank and Turn Back were besides him.
