Rei was overwhelmed. Everything happened too fast to process. He was dropped into a world not too unfamiliar from his own, his breath became ragged. He knew that this wasn't his 'home'. Tightening the grip on his rusty machete, a long sigh escaped his quivering lips. After a few more seconds of composure a loud thwack was heard, turning a few heads. With reddened cheeks he wore a look of false bravado. He'll do what he does best, he'll get used to it. This has happened before.

Absorb your surroundings. Rei holstered his machete, his eyes lingering at the blade for a moment, then to the crossbow on his back. It was like memories were injected into him- ingrained muscle memory with weapons he had no idea of. He even felt that his walk was different. Careful and deliberate steps thud that left the earth undisturbed. He had never stepped with such purposeful gait. His curiosity began to well up, slowly overpowering fear.

On his way around he caught a swinging sign- he could vaguely make out that it read 'Nadya'. Mentally noting that he could read the peculiar language. He stumbled in, being exactly as everyone thought he was- no money with only the clothes on his back. The boy strode up the counter and barraged the bartender with questions.

A few days later

Thanks to Anton's advice, Rei managed to 'hunt' a few defenseless monsters. For him, the difficulty came in 'hunting' buyers- but eventually he managed to sell at a relatively reasonable price. He pocketed a bit of money or 'Pana'. A paltry but sufficient amount, enough to survive. Pulling the hood off his head, he stepped into Nadya's. Anton smiled at his entrance. With a curt nod signalling for a drink, he sat down an empty table. He started writing down on torn, loose paper like he usually did.

• As I had previously thought, my proficiency with the weapons I have on my person is uncanny. Somehow my body knew how to work a crossbow. It knew how to grip, carve, and tear with a machete- enough so that I took care of boars with relative ease.
• There's some words that my mind keeps reiterating. It felt like something was alluring me to... say it. Which makes no sense. Curiosity overtook my cautiousness however. I whispered the words 'Pinning Shot', and the boar became unable to move. The bolt cut through it's foot and dug itself into the ground. In its panic it tried to flee, disregarding the impaled foot. Needless to say, it was bloody.
  To note: I became more exhausted as I said those words.

Rei's table shook, his next letter skidding off the edge. Two drunk patrons begun shoving each other. He hadn't noticed their escalating physical and verbal dispute. Unfortunately they were next to his table. "Look can you guys take this elsewhere?" he said, his voice lower than he intended- the two drunkards did not taking note of him at all. One of them eventually stumbled back onto Rei's table, spilling his drink. The cold drink slowly coated the paper and smudged the ink. He looked at the paper like it was his dying child.

Paper wasn't exactly a common good here, Rei had found that out the hard way when he tried to obtain some. Luckily he found a few scant pieces during his walks through the town. With that knowledge, Rei slightly lost his calmness. His mind flashed to 'pinning shot' to calm both down but dismissed the thought once he recalled what it had done to the boar. Taking a bolt between his fingers he threw it at their feet, edging slightly into the wood. It caught both their attentions.

"Either of you gonna reimburse me for that, or what?" he said, with louder intonation.

As such, he did the bare minimum to not fail classes he had no interest in, making him more even more 'invisible' in the eyes of his peers and teachers.

Personality:
Andy is a laid-back, relaxed individual, preferring to be indolent by himself or with a few friends as opposed to being in a large crowd. He has a light sarcastic streak about him- speaking his mind whenever he wants to do so. In addition to this he shoots off banter at his friends at every opportunity he gets, as such the friends he does have are those who can handle his near-endless light teasing. In parties you can usually find him tucked away at a corner by himself, or is found talking to a small gathering of people who'd like to listen.

Despite that however, he is a bit more mature than his peers seeing as his parents gave him alot more responsibility than the average teenager since they've moved away. He makes schedules on things to be done, and is generally more accountable for his actions.

While many may not see it, he exudes an air of confidence about him. Not to the point of being smug, but enough to not second guess himself. He has spontaneous bouts of courage, aiding him to overcome times of great fear. This helps him in his exploration of dark, uncomfortable places that he likes to venture in. Even managing to drag himself to the local hospital when he slashed his arm open.

His other noteworthy trait is that, while he tends to be averse to confrontation, he is wholly against gossip or hearsay. Fully believing that if you have something to say, you say it straight to their face or don't say it at all. As such he does away with gossip as soon as he hears it, disregarding it as he believes those that start rumors are cowards, and those who spread it are not much better. As an adage to this, Andy tries his best to consider criticism thrown towards him.

Backstory:
Anderson lives alone in Rose Beach in his parents home. His parents had found a job in another state with much better pay and conditions, and have moved there. They let Andy choose between staying, or going with them. While it was a tough decision to do so, he found it hard to leave the life, and friends he made behind. As such he opted to stay behind, under the strict condition that he keeps the house in a livable state by himself. He does the chores, maintenance, grocery, etc. by himself, with his parents sending him every other week for bills and his allowance.

Recently Andy had begun to feel peculiar changes to his physique. His dreams would be of him lurching through thunderous clouds that would split apart from him as if in profound reverence. A cacophony of thunder and blinding light cascade serenely around him, none hitting him, and instead it seemed to trumpet the return of its king. As he's about to reach the maelstrom, he would jolt awake, fully energized.

Andy has weak control as of now, only comfortably being with light usage such as jolting a vending machine for a free drink, or charge his phone while he's holding it. At most he can send an electric arc to an intended target 20% of the time. At one point while Andy was working on an open electronic box, he accidentally brushed up against capacitors and was electrocuted for a few seconds. He came out unscathed, only feeling more energetic afterwards.

Extra:
Likes to explore abandoned buildings/structures as a side hobby. Has explored nearly every abandoned building near his little town, and knows most of them by memory. As such, he has a natural propensity for parkour, and can scale downtrodden buildings with relative ease.

He even did things he himself was not very comfortable with doing. Basically Philippe was a shell of a person, who didn't form his own opinions and just followed the trend, and norms. After meeting and becoming friends with Sarah, he began to really not care for the social hierarchy of the school and disregarded it entirely, going out of his way to stop petty things like bullying- feeling empathy and guilt towards those who couldn't fend for themselves.

To many others who really didn't get to know him, Philippe seemed uncaring and rather lazy. Which was a fair assumption as he seems to, thanks to Sarah's influence, not really care about what other think of him, his personality, clothing, attitude and similar. His actions started to become be fully from his own choosing- as he stopped letting others opinions affect his, although he still takes them into (relatively careful) consideration. This made him feel more like a person than before, forming his own 'identity'

In his highschool days, though he doesn't try to be, he comes off as charismatic and easy to talk too, this is accentuated by his rather naturally free spirited nature, coming off as a guy who seems like he will listen to your troubles with an open ear. This trait was further trained and developed by his past part time job as a Bartender. Furthermore, he openly despised gossip and hearsay, not so much to himself but more towards his friends- antagonizing those that he shouldn't.

One of his most respectable but damning traits is his willingness to help, if he sees an individual in real need he can't help himself to, well, help them. Even the thing that can help them is out of his reach, he will try his damned hardest to do so, even at times being frightfully naive always trying to see the good in even bad situations. In that vein, it is hard to truly anger Philippe. Though others have managed to in the past.

History|

During his youth, Philippe was what one would call a 'faceless doormat'. His parents didn't have much of a presence in his life, as both worked long hours into the night. By the time they did get home, they pronounced themselves tired, and did not indulge Philippe in the antics you would with a child. This neglect instilled a sense of desperation in the young child who sought a place to 'belong'. He slowly turned this sense of desperation to his peers in school. He stopped at nothing to be accepted by them, and become a social chameleon, changing his devoid shell of self to fit those around him.

This went on through his school life- from middle school to his entrance to highschool. While he wasn't despised and was, in the loosest sense of the word, in the popular clique. Not many wanted to be involved with him however, from inside and outside of these cliques. The people inside the cliques did not at all hang out with him outside of parties where everyone was there, they subconsciously felt that Philippe didn't have a real, tangible personality to him and opted to avoid him. People outside the cliques also disliked those within said clique, as they weren't the most well-liked due to their antics- usually outright bullying a chosen 'target'. He subconsciously realized the toxicity of this kind of relationship, but the fear paralyzed him from doing anything.

It was after the first year of highschool was when he met Sarah, who openly laughed at his own clique, and disregarded their haughty reminder of the hierarchy when they displayed so. Philippe was utterly flabbergasted by this, and secretly began to admire her. Someone who seemed so 'real' and 'genuine' compared to everyone else in highschool. Despite the clique's utter disapproval, and blacklisting of Sarah, he began to talk to her more often, being fascinated by her outgoing, and free-willed personality. Slowly he began to change, he distanced himself from his old clique, and started to hang out with Sarah, and began forming his own personality. For better or for worse, Sarah rubbed off on him.

A few years later, his parents work dragged him away from the quaint life of Higgins, to move into the bustling city of Los Angeles. His leave was abrupt, however, and he was in a heated argument with Sarah. He recently had heard that she had began to dabble in drug usage, he didn't care about the supposed rumors of her dating a teacher, nor her overdrinking during parties, but taking drugs was where Philippe drew the line. The argument ended in both sides getting heated, both saying words they would end up regretting.

Philippe never got to say he was sorry.

Penny Harlowe

Philippe has a close friendship with Penny, one of the few people (barring Sarah) that Penny felt comfortable around. Both would usually end up debating on more than a few things in a friendly manner, and only ever got serious/heated up in regards to the late Sarah's actions. Philippe corresponded with Penny, with Penny being the one to inform him that she had abruptly left for New York. She periodically kept him up to date on the status of Sarah when they found the chance to message each other.

Lucas Atkins

Philippe didn't have much of a 'positive' impressions of Lucas due to every interaction with him ending, at best, poorly, and at worst, at odds. Philippe could tell that Lucas was gunning to air petty grievances to Sarah and he tried to target her friends to lash out. Other than that there's not much to say, Lucas didn't specifically target Philippe, he really didn't single anyone out other than Sarah. Philippe didn't keep in touch with Lucas due to these aforementioned reasons.

James and Philippe were acquainted before being in Sarah's circle. They both ran around the same cliques, but never really bothered each other. They became great friends when they both begun hanging out with Sarah. Philippe slowly noticed that he was a 'jerk with a heart of gold', even if they didn't agree all the time. Presently they occasionally send messages to each other, but found it hard to have time to truly 'hang out'. It was James that had informed Philippe about the late Sarah.

Like most of his other friends, he never really got to know Tommy (outside of rumours) before he met Sarah. Since then he has struck up an odd sort of friendship with the man, even if more silent than Philippe was used too. Eventually this friendship became one of the closest ones he's had. Philippe had frequently visited a few of his prize matches due to them falling under holidays most of the time, and were enjoyable to watch (especially since Tommy insisted on giving him a VIP pass each time). Philippe liked the 'thrill' of a fight, but it pales in comparison to Tommy.

Before being in Sarah's circle, Philippe was aware of Alexis' reputation around the school- many really didn't have nice things to say about her. Philippe readily admits that these rumors actually formed a sort of assumption in his mind about Alexis. He still feels a pang of guilt over this, as later in the years when they both began hanging out with Sarah they formed an odd relationship where both slowly became 'tenured' friends. His initial impressions of her slowly washed away, as he began picking up bits and pieces about her past, going as far as to empathize with her current situation.

It went as far as them becoming really close friends, where Alexis slowly began to confide in Philippe about her troubled past. He tries at each opportunity to give her his support/help- either with his words, or his actions. He is the only one who Alexis had informed of her suicide attempt. Philippe had felt horrible not being able to be of help after her attempt, and blames himself for not talking her out of attempting it in the first place.

Both have kept in touch after high-school, with Alexis being the one he spoke to the most in Sarah's inner circle of friends, outside of highschool. His work takes him to business trips near London, and he has visited her a few times to check up on her.

Despite the girls boundless energy, they formed a sort of odd friendship. Philippe helped even out her as much as he could, sort of 'grounding' her. He always respected her courageous speech, unflinchingly uncaring for those it lands on. He knows that those words come from the heart however.

History|

During his youth, Philippe was what one would call a 'faceless doormat'. His parents didn't have much of a presence in his life, as both worked long hours into the night. By the time they did get home, they pronounced themselves tired, and did not indulge Philippe in the antics you would with a child. This neglect instilled a sense of desperation in the young child who sought a place to 'belong'. He slowly turned this sense of desperation to his peers in school. He stopped at nothing to be accepted by them, and become a social chameleon, changing his devoid shell of self to fit those around him.

This went on through his school life- from middle school to his entrance to highschool. While he wasn't despised and was, in the loosest sense of the word, in the popular clique. Not many wanted to be involved with him however, from inside and outside of these cliques. The people inside the cliques did not at all hang out with him outside of parties where everyone was there, they subconsciously felt that Philippe didn't have a real, tangible personality to him and opted to avoid him. People outside the cliques also disliked those within said clique, as they weren't the most well-liked due to their antics- usually outright bullying a chosen 'target'. He subconsciously realized the toxicity of this kind of relationship, but the fear paralyzed him from doing anything.

It was after the first year of highschool was when he met Sarah, who openly laughed at his own clique, and disregarded their haughty reminder of the hierarchy when they displayed so. Philippe was utterly flabbergasted by this, and secretly began to admire her. Someone who seemed so 'real' and 'genuine' compared to everyone else in highschool. Despite the clique's utter disapproval, and blacklisting of Sarah, he began to talk to her more often, being fascinated by her outgoing, and free-willed personality. Slowly he began to change, he distanced himself from his old clique, and started to hang out with Sarah, and began forming his own personality. For better or for worse, Sarah rubbed off on him.

A few years later, his parents work dragged him away from the quaint life of Higgins, to move into the bustling city of Los Angeles. His leave was abrupt, however, and he was in a heated argument with Sarah. He recently had heard that she had began to dabble in drug usage, he didn't care about the supposed rumors of her dating a teacher, nor her overdrinking during parties, but taking drugs was where Philippe drew the line. The argument ended in both sides getting heated, both saying words they would end up regretting.

Philippe never got to say he was sorry.

• Spinning his pen between his fingers when idle; so much so that it's fairly impressive.
• Fixes the crinkle of his clothes whenever he sees it (and if he's close enough with the other person, will try do so nonchalantly).
