Bio

Hey all, JB here.

I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).

I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!

I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. But I'm always looking for a new friend!

Please feel free to say hi at any time!

The sight of the azure-skinned woman among a quartet of mechas was an odd one, to say the least. Perhaps as surprising was the wide grin on the woman's face as she peered around at all the sights. The nearby area was certainly not one of unparalleled beauty, but this woman seemed to treat it as such. However, at the General's angry mutterings, she lifted her singsong voice in a playful rebuke. "Watch your language, General," she chided, a chuckle barely contained. "We don't want to have parents mute their childrens' translators, after all. On the positive side, we can enjoy the natural beauty this world has to offer. Aahhh, sunshine."

Despite the fact that the exoframes hid their pilots' bodies completely, Ceraun could nearly feel the frustration from some of them as she walked ahead, letting out a quiet giggle. There were several reasons that she enjoyed these trips, and nagging the General was often a most entertaining venture. However, it was soon clear that they would not be traveling alone, as another humanoid soon joined them. "As long as you're okay walking with us, ask away," Ceraun replied. "My friends might be a little grumpy that they're kept off the ship for a while, but I would be glad to answer some of your questions. As long as you aren't a reporter." Her hand moved to her hip where she kept a couple of medicinal vials, and her expression darkened. "You aren't a reporter, are you?" she asked, her eyes narrowing before she burst out in laughter. "I'm just playing with you. What did you want to know?"

The drifter, caught between a sheet of ice and fiery anger, narrowed his eyes at the goliath. "They aren't worth the hassle. Let us quit this place before we lose more than we have already." He stepped forward, deciding the fighters were the path of least resistance, and brought his staff down on Arthera's forehead, a crack resounding in the air. "Let me pass!" he muttered with frustration as he moved on towards his exit. Seeing that Arthera was less than likely to allow passage, the drifter used the butt of his staff to drive it into the woman's gut.

Affected: @The Harbinger of Ferocity - Arthera is critically hit, taking 20 damage plus a second hit of 3 bludgeoning damage.

@Mistiel - The drifter passes you by. If you have a melee weapon drawn, you may take an Attack of Opportunity. You may also use your fist (roll 1d20 + STR + PB and deal 1 + STR damage, min 1).

@CrimmyTiny post - sorry about short length. Until we get to some destination, there's not much to add, I feel.

Kimiko followed the other two in silence, her hand tightly entwined with her friend's. She had said her piece, and nothing more needed to be said. Nothing would make this better, especially not mere words. Everything had turned into a nightmare, and she could swear she heard screaming from every angle. Or was it... howling?

Kimiko shuddered as they approached the kendo room. "I've got a bad feeling about this," she muttered, barely audible at their quick pace. There was nothing else she could do but be swept along in the tide. She hoped this would not be her end.

The sights you experience are akin to looking at the face of the Great Old One himself: deep, unknowable, and somewhat painful to behold. You have no idea where you are, nor are you even able to determine what exactly you are experiencing. In any case, you are unable to act this round as you feel your being pulled from reality.

Jenneva leaned in, possibly uncomfortably close to the man called Jane. "Did... did you say 'flamethrowers'?" she asked, a light in her eyes that was akin to that one might see in a cat's eyes as they chased a mouse.
