Errm, Nidhogg is currently under a building, and most of his constructs have already been destroyed...(plus...just waving your hand and doing all that...I hate to use the term, but that seems god-mode ish, grim reaper notwithstanding.)

Amelia looked at James, completely ignoring Nidhogg. She knew Phleg and Undine would protect her. When James said his piece, she simply nodded before turning back to Manami. She could see the woman wanted to fight. But she didn't understand.
"Miss Manami... why are you attacking my friends? Did they offend you in some way? Did they hurt someone close to you? What did they do to deserve such hostile actions towards them?" She asked, her tone gentle and curious.

Joshua didn't even wince at the pain the tendrils cause, simply cutting them off at the sight, leaving enough for him to pull them out one by one, which he proceeded to do rather quickly. While the creature was recovering, he moved over and picked up Amaya, throwing her his shoulder. He was going to apologize but was interrupted by the sudden tendril attack. He quickly saw where the least amount of tendrils was and moved that way, cutting down any that came too close.

But Nidhogg isn't strictly a deity, and is noted for being one if the few to not die during Ragnarok. I take to likening Nidhogg as a representation of Entropy, a fundamental force of chaos and destruction that can't be fully stopped or killed, only slowed. I mean, he's known as the Gnawer of Yggdrasil, which is basically the symbol for the order of the universe, so I think my interpretation is valid for the most part.

It is. But again, he's just a soul in a vessel for now. Without a vessel, he has no power. So, after the vessel is gone, sealing him up somewhere, like say, Tartarus, is not that far fetched of an idea.

Just gotta give him something to gnaw on. Like a tree root.
