@EurmalEye It would be modern times. People would pretty much be like now. Some would believe others would write it off. There is some destruction from the battle. Most of it can be explained as the result of one natural disaster or another.

@bloonewb Cave-in maybe. I don't think the counselors would take the kids to a cave with predators. Although I suppose they might think that the teens could handle it since they have powers but I doubt it.
The world was in chaos. There had been a major battle between Heaven and Hell. It was hard for humans to know for sure which side one. Rumors flew widely. No one knew for sure what the truth was. Some said that the demons had one and the Angels had been destroyed. Others said that Lucifer he been destroyed and the demons had gone into hiding. Neither side seemed interested in explaining anything to the human that had survived the battle. They were left to try to rebuild some sort of life.
