@Balthazar007 Any word on the progress of the RP thread for this?
“Hey, you need to stop moving around so much. You’re really hurt so just stay still and let me heal you.” At least, Oberon thought the Slime was injured. It was kind of hard to tell since the hole that had been blown in the side of the gelatinous mass had already closed up, leaving not even a burn mark as proof of what had just happened. Regardless of what it looked like however, the fact was an explosion had just occurred inside the Slime, so it was probably missing a few hit points.

Holding a hand out in front of the Slime, Oberon focused his mana and cast Minor Heal on the creature. It was hard to tell if it was having any effect, in the same way that it was difficult to tell if the Slime was injured in the first place; the blob just didn’t really… change much. There were no cuts knitting back together or bruises faded to indicate that he was actually doing anything worthwhile any more so than it he had cast his skill on a rock.

Oberon activated his Magic Analysis as he stared at the creature, whose name he should probably ask for at some point, hoping that the newly upgraded skill would give him some clue as to how many hit points it had. He used his Analysis on Minor Heal as well, just in case it told him something useful he didn’t already know. Regardless, he would keep casting Minor Heal until it either stopped working or the Slime told him to stop.

Speaking of his new abilities it seemed pretty serendipitous that levelling up Magic Analysis would grant him to ability to learn about a spells element right when he was aiming towards learning how to use fire element mana. He had finally learned Mana Shape as well, only a few moments before an explosion had ripped this Slime open and practically deafened him, so when he next got a chance he was ready to begin working on that. Although, peaceful moments never seemed to last long in this cave before something happened to interrupt it.

@MikkishtheLeprechaun there's a bit of interest in this now. Are you still intending on continuing with this RP? If so, how many people were you hoping for?
@Sketcher@Balthazar007 Well there's nothing that prevents you from making cool strats with Pokemon from multiple tiers, but I agree that the current rules may be a bit overly complicated.

I think the restrictions on Legendary, Mythical and Psuedo-Legendary Pokemon is fine and makes sense, they are meant to be rare after all, and I'm on board with a maximum base stat total to keep things balance. But the tier restriction on top of that is a bit much, a restriction of only one Uber and only one OU is probably good enough.
As for your second question (the tier list that I'm using), simply go to the team builder page on Pokemon Showdown. Start building a team in the "Anything Goes" format. There you will find the tiers that I'm using.

Ok, fair enough. Though the BL in those cases stands for banlist rather than borderline, which was throwing me off. Smogon does have all of these tiers in that case.

So just for clarification, I know you said that we must mega-evolve during the battle but how does that affect the tier of a Pokemon? For example Gengar-Mega is in the Uber tier, while regular Gengar is UU tier; so is a Gengar holding Gengarite considered Uber or UU?
@Balthazar007 I still don't like the idea of allowing the higher tier Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. It's not a balancing issue, it just seems weird to use those Pokemon, mostly because I'm still thinking of this RP as being set in the anime world where those kinds of Pokemon tend to be literal Gods. It's clear this is set in a world closer to the games however, so if no-one else feels the same it's fine with me.

I just want people to have a really good explanation for how they caught Arceus because that it not a small accomplishment.

So, the rule about not using more than one Pokemon from the same tier is interesting and I appreciate the attempt to add diversity to the teams. However, it doesn't seem like Smogon or Showdown use the borderline tiers anymore and if you exclude Little Cup that leaves only six tiers including Uber and OU, which are banned in the first couple of rounds. Can you link what resource you are using that has the borderline tiers for Gen VII?

Everything else seems fine.
What's a lot of money in the Pokemon world? Ya'll tell me. LOL

Enough to buy a bicycle.
@MikkishtheLeprechaun I'm interested as well.
@FoxSoxs It's worth pointing out that the deck list you put in your profile it not a list you have to stick to, so it doesn't have to match exactly the deck you are going to use in the RP. You can and probably should use cards outside of that list in your duels, especially when it comes to your spell and trap cards.

The deck list is just supposed to give a general idea of what kind of deck this character uses. Add a couple generic dragons to the deck list just to get the point across that you could use those cards in a duel.
The use of Pokemon Showdown is fine. I get that its a good resource and fully scripted battles are a lot harder to do; I guess it just comes down to what people choose for their teams.

However, I'm also a little concerned about the allowance of Legendary and Mythical Pokemon on our teams as well.

I know these characters are supposed to be masters and the best of the best, so having some extraordinary Pokemon can be expected like the Frontier Brain who had an Articuno or the guy from the Sinnoh league with Darkrai and Latios, but not having any restrictions seems a bit strange. At the moment there is nothing stopping me from adding Arceus (Mythical) and Mega-Rayquaza (Legendary) on my team, which is both kind of overpowered and also really weird that any trainer could capture such supremely powerful beings.

I'm not sure why you are equating Mythical Pokemon with Psuedo-legendaries either.

Aside from that, I'm wondering what the rules are on Z-moves or Mega-evolutions? Are we allowed both on the same team? Neither? Or should we just pick one or the other? I'd personally prefer the latter.
