Deep in a high security facility, Rey was sitting with his anti-meta bracelets on watching the news as to what happened to the Conspiracy HQ, hearing laughing in the background of two guards amused from seeing the footage of incidents that were crippling the Agency's image to protect and serve. Hearing about this Phoenix group, Rey was thinking about how the hell someone could get get such footage and deduced that it had to be someone from the inside that got it which leaves him to believe that the HQ have been infiltrated once again and by extension, felt that it may have been the R&D department that was the focus.
Shit....I can image the hell the group must be going through right now and I wonder if Raya is okay. Did they managed to take her or perhaps destroy her? I still needed to complete her programming to allow her to independently switch to battle mode at will when in danger...she would've been able to help. While thinking to himself, the agent who spoke with Rey earlier went to stand beside him while the tech genius watched the tv "It's a damn shame....good thing you got out of there before any of this happened.....I know you still don't want to talk or give any information and it's fine that you play...as Johnny tight lips. but...with this little Phoenix group...we may be able to get more cooperation from them instead. Even though all of you freaks are the same, they can still serve a purpose for us."
If you wanna kill me to cripple the Conspiracy, you can try....they'll just gain another genius to help with what they have and rebuild. "Haha! Is that a trick question? gods are usually immortal and can't be easily beaten let along killed. The man smiled. "Well...something inside me feels that you don't really believe that. That there is a way....you see...you meta...you are like an evolved freakazoid version of humans. We were able to study you blood, cells, genes and so on and came up with a solution to be capable of doing what both humans and metas didn't think could happen. We can shut the powers of metas down. Just like with the sun being a vampire's weakness, silver being capable of harming a werewolf, our special material and formula can cancel out or at lets shut down powers for a while and leave them vulnerable enough to be taken out. but....tell me...if meta-humans can have a weakness, can demi-gods and false gods have weaknesses too?"
Why don't you fight them and find out.... "Funny...no...there's no need in wasting lives to fight something we will have a hard time beating. Instead....we will take the easy way and nullify all power. I mean...you're Glitch! you're a miracle worker...you can solve so many problems especially regarding the humans being victims to these false gods."
Miracle worker....I'm not a deity...I'm just a nerd that can invent. Look....you don't defeat a god....unless you're one yourself or a very skilled meta with the right powers and from where I'm looking you're on the bottom of the food chain. They don't have weaknesses. "Yet...." he said
