A little bit of weight lifted off Niah's shoulders when Doom said he promised. She'd have to make sure she got the promise from him again after the time-fix. It was also good that Susan was saying she'd help too. Niah liked her and trusted her opinion. She hadn't felt great about making the deal but those two things combined made it easier. Though knowing what was killing him did reassure her any. He had to have only recently gotten sick. She let Susan and Doom speak and turned to the group as they entered through a new portal. She flinched a little when he slammed his fist into the table.

Niah did a quick count and saw no one else had died. "Grab as much as you can. If you can Doctor Strange send it directly back to your sanctum." She was worried about his wounds, but he appeared to no longer be actively bleeding. That was good. Niah could only hope that no one had gotten critically wounded. She didn't even dare to let herself think about what issues the other team might have encountered, or who they might have lost. "It's Doctor Doom Cass, but he is dying and isn't opposing us." Niah added she didn't want to go into the details of her promise.

Andy nodded in agreement with Marygold when the girl said she wished she was on the other team. It wasn't that she had anything against the Ares or anyone on this particular team it was more that she at least knew people on the other side. Though that did give her a bit of an advantage. The others sort of knew her, but no one here really did know her. They knew in theory what she was capable of or could be capable of.

Andy started thinking about traps. She hadn't really used them, usually, they were used against her. She had gotten okay at ambushes. Andy also had gotten good at using her innocent-looking face to get out of trouble more than a few times. Here she might get away with it once. She looked unarmed, though most of the campers here would know who her father was and therefore what she was capable of. Did all children of Zuse have control over electricity?

"Not sure how much help I can be with traps, but I can be bait. Also, I don't know what you are capable of." She didn't mention that she knew Eva could at least trip people. "I can fight a little bit, and control lightning" She had never said that aloud to a human before. It felt a little surreal if she was honest with herself. "But the others don't know me all that well. I didn't go to school with them. So, maybe I can lure them into a trap."

She wondered what the others might be planning. What were Ash and the other new campers doing on their teams?

Doom was there. And asking her if she would pardon him. Did she even have the ability to do that? How did he know she was the one who was going to go back in time? "I don't know if I'd be able to. I don't know if I have that pull." Was she going to promise him she'd try though? Would he even remember this conversation? He wouldn't be time-traveling so theoretically, he wouldn't. Niah didn't even know why he was in the raft. She was not comfortable agreeing to let him go...or even trying to get him pardoned without knowing.

"Susan, why was he on the Raft?" The cough concerned her. He was very sick. Was he dying? Was that from before Ultron or something that had happened since. If he was dying there wouldn't be too much of an issue of getting him pardoned.

"He was trying to take the team down... Well, more of trying to knock Reed down, he's been jealous of Reed since they were in college, and he was constantly trying to either destroy us or use us for his own personal gain... Honestly, I don't really understand what I ever saw in Victor back before he started trying to take over the world. Or destroy it really... He ended up in the Raft for trying to take over the world for what felt like the hundredth time."

"Take over, but not destroy?" Niah paused looking over Dr. Doom. "I'll try. I can't promise I'll succeed at getting you a pardon, but I'll try. But if I succeed and you hurt a single person I will drag you back to the raft myself." Niah tried to sound intimidating, tried to put all of her hurt and pain and anger at every death into that last sentence.

Choices in the heat of battle are always hard. This one hurt more than Niah could even explain. She chose to step through the portal and get away from the threat rather than try to pull her dead friend with her. The time wasted could easily be the end of her and she needed to complete this mission. She needed the time travel machine to work. There was too much blood. Niah could apologize to a living Bonnie who had no memory of this world. Dealing with Flynn would be a bit more unpleasant, but she'd make sure they ended up together when time was reset.

"Tell us what to grab Suri." Niah said as she stepped through. Her voice cracking and her eyes blurry until she wiped at them. Strange was in dire straights and he was their exit plan. With Bonnie dead, they didn't have a medic. Niah also cast her gaze around for something that might be used as a weapon. Her ICER was fine against human targets, but the Ultron bots weren't human.

Niah spent the night trying to rest, and sort her thoughts. Things were a jumble in her mind and she knew she remembered more than others. She had seen more than most of them. There were people missing from their ranks too. People she had risked everything to bring back. Doctor Strange's warning about messing with time came back to her and she knew that this situation was her fault. This was the bigger threat. Her memories were still too much for her to figure out exactly when this was. She couldn't remember the last thing she had been doing before coming here. But Dr. Banner was here, and so was his son, which meant that much had been successful. Novikova was alive too. Her heart and mind heavy she didn't sleep well, but she woke and found the rest of her team.

"I'll join the stealth team." She said, "My skills are a bit better for that." She thought of the raid on the bank, and of course the mission into Wakanda that went so badly. Bonnie. God, there was so much blood on her hands, even if it was indirect, it was her fault. At least Raynor wasn't here to imply that. Her voice was soft, lacking the carelessness that it had carried before her memories had been restored. The carelessness that had been gone in "reality a" since she was a teen. She hadn't tried to contact her sister, a death that wasn't her fault but when the world was restored would be. Niah couldn't bring herself to speak with her sister and pretend things were okay and normal and that she wasn't making the choice to kill her and God knew how many others. Was it worth it? She had spent so much time after the Ultron incident trying to fix the world, and now Flynn of all people was a prince and dating Sapphire...who they had abandoned in Australia.

Andy was relieved when someone stepped over to help her. "Thank you Marygold." She said once her armor was completely on. It was a little too big for her, but at least she could move in it. "I'm Andy." That was probably unnecessary to say since Chiron had introduced her at dinner, but it always felt weird to not say when someone introduced themselves. Was it proper protocol to ask who someone's parent was? It seemed like it was part of everyone's introduction. It didn't help that the guy in charge called Marygold and the other girl "hippy plant girls". Andy had no idea which god or goddess that made them the children of.

There was so much to learn, and it felt more important than any of the previous "learn the rules" she had ever experienced. She watched the other people in the group closely, trying to learn from what they said or did. She did stick close to Marygold and the others with her. Andy thought Marygold seemed nice, at least she had been nice enough to volunteer to help get her armor situated. Andy just wished she wasn't the only new kid on the team.

Niah came to her senses. She was freezing, her face and eyes were stinging. She reached up and touched it feeling the warmth. Niah couldn't be certain but she thought someone must have slapped her. "Thanks." She said to Doctor Strange. The vision may be gone, but the feelings that had come from it certainly weren't. She closed her eyes for a second trying to dispel the feeling of hopelessness and uselessness. Then Storm was telling them that they had hostiles coming in. She pushed away her thoughts, something else to deal with if she had downtime ever again, and maybe a therapist.

With a deep breath, she opened her eyes and looked out against the incoming bots. At first, it seemed they wouldn't be noticed, but then they were shooting at them. Bullets hit her teammates and one tore into her thigh. She winced, but it wasn't the worst physical pain she had been in. A bullet to the stomach was way worse, which of course reminded her of one of their fallen.

Niah fell into formation. Taking a spot in front of Bonnie but behind Suri, Storm and Strange. Niah decided at that moment that she would start carrying an actual gun. An ICER would be useless against these machines.

Niah pushed the frustration away, "Sorry Kingston." She said to him and stepped through Runa's portal before she closed it. She had tried to keep the team together as best as she could. They needed to be working together to solve this problem and here someone who wasn't even on their team was refusing to allow them to stick together. She had been slightly tempted to stay behind with Kingston but had decided against it. She needed more information. "I'm Doctor Niah Bautista." She introduced herself and put her ICER with the other discarded weapons. That was harder than dropping her cell phone had been. She had no offensive powers and without the ICER she felt weirdly naked.

Novikova stepped over to her and placed her hands on Niah's head. There was a rush of memories, of knowledge, of pain. In the other world, Niah now knew about she had lost so many. Tears fell freely down her face and she tried to control her sobbing but it was impossible. She didn't even know how she ended up on the ground but there she was kneeling down sobbing into her hands. "Dalaisy." So many other names crossed her mind but her heart was breaking over knowing that her sister was dead. Her sweet and loving sister had been murdered. Niah held onto all the memories she could of her sister in this world cherishing them. They were all a lie.

Lost in her worst nightmare Niah was mentally screaming. She knew her sister was already dead, but that didn't change how much she wished she wasn't. She ran to her siblings' bodies begging the universe to let them be okay. It was weirdly cold as she tried to help them. Was she dying? It wouldn't be the first time she had almost died. She had felt cold then.

It was more important to help her siblings though. She pushed through the cold and the terror knowing something wasn't right with what was happening. She wasn't an idiot though. She wasn't going to walking into some unknown chemical. She looked at the truck hoping for some information on the chemical only to see the name of the company. Sigma-Aldrich. Well, that certainly didn't narrow down what kind of chemical her siblings were in.

They were clearly still alive. Their blood was everywhere. Why was she so useless? She hadn't been able to help anyone she loved ever. She was a liability to the team. Raynor knew it, why did everyone else pretend like she was one of them? She was too afraid. Too scared to risk herself to save her siblings. Too scared to risk herself when everyone else pushed themselves. She was supposed to be smart. She was supposed to be talented. Her powers were useless in combat. She was useless.

Niah sighed relieved, time was of the essence though. "Thank you Kingston. Let's go through the portal and listen to what they have to say. Let Novikova try to return your memories. If it works then you know this isn't the real world. If it doesn't no skin off your teeth, you can continue to try to stop them. Turn over any coms you have though." She started to walk to the portal and realized that Kingston wasn't following her since his legs were stuck. Niah doubted she could carry him through the portal and resisted glaring at Runa who was struggling to keep the portal open.

The kid who opened a second portal didn't look strong enough to carry Kingston through either. She was getting very frustrated. Between the uncertainty of what was happening and not being able to think through the situation as much as she would like she wished she had some sort of offensive power just to unleash some of that pent up frustration. "Runa would you be so kind as to let Kingston go, or someone help me carry him through the portal." She didn't care which, as long as it was done right now.
