Ed Penior

Location: Space Jail
Skills: Sympathetic Magic: Tracking

The doors opened and a voice gave them permission to move around the Jail. That gave Ed a bit of breathing room, now it made doing the tracking spell worthwhile. Though it still had the flaw of pointing directly to his target rather than giving him a path to them. But it would at least give them something to work with.

Ed was thankful that he still had his vials with everyone's hair in them. He pulled out the one for Mary. For the most part, he could have gotten away without labeling them, but it was smarter to do so. Mary's was easy enough to distinguish though. He removed the strand of hair and was glad this spell didn't use up the hair, he could reuse it later. He attached it carefully with practiced movements to his compass needle and quickly said the familiar incantation. The needle pointed to the right immediately.

"Mary is that way." He said pointing for Lance's sake in the direction Mary was. "I think she's on our level, and fairly close." Ed switched the hair out for Annie's. He worried about her. They had a friendship and she would be easy pickings for someone who wanted to show off. He repeated the incantation for her hair and pointed to the left, and up this time.

"Annie's that way, I think a bit farther away, up a level, and moving cause the needle isn't staying put." He paused and chewed his lip. Was Pietro alive? Had the guards taken him out. He repeated the process for Pietro's hair and the needle moved settling on a point that seemed far away and up a level, maybe more.

"Pietro is alive. Let's get Mary and Annie, we might find some of the others with them if we weren't the only ones grouped." Ed slid off his bed and started down the right toward where Mary's needle had pointed.

She frowned a little bit at Bonnie putting her on the sideline but it was the right move so she nodded. She had to accept she had new limitations. How long would it be till she could run again? Her heart ached suddenly at the thought that she might never be able to again. Niah took a slow breath. No. She wouldn't accept that. She would learn how to walk with the robotic leg Dr. Larson had given her. She'd learn what all it could do.

"We're going to need a lot more cat treats." Niah smiled at the idea of having more Flerkens around. "Sparky just show me what you want me to do. I can press the buttons you want to be pressed." She smiled. She knew robotics but that knowledge didn't extend to how to hack or anything like that. It would be best for her to just be support for Sparky in this case.

"Yeah, Matt Moss." He told Evelyn with a nod. The plan for the White House was solid. They could easily get in and make the switch with the fake president. He frowned, who was Alcie? "Uh, sorry I don't pay much attention to who's who in the White House, who is Alcie?" Matt asked Alex.

"Can we get blueprints for where the convention is being held?" There were enough people with high computer competency for one of them to get them he was sure. They needed to know their exits. "Alex were you briefed on what the conference is about?" He sort of hoped there was a dossier they could look over.

Madalyne Crane

Andy Phillips Crane

Date: July 1st
Location: Camp Half-Blood
Skills: N/A

Madalyne sat in the largest tent that the Legion had created after the fall of New Rome they were given permission to stay in Camp Half-Blood for however long they needed to be. Madalyne and Alexandra were working on sorting through their records. She was looking over a map of Camp Jupiter thinking of a way to retake their home once they were able to Madalyne finished fixing her hair into a ponytail. The rest of the Legion were busy working on some drills and sparing as well.

Andy was glad to be back on her home soil, so to speak. She felt bad that they couldn't keep New Rome from falling and was glad that they had invited all of them to stay with them. It made things crowded, but they'd figure it out. She knew Arthur was devastated though since he had been hopeful that New Rome could have given them a chance at real life. Maybe whatever the Romans figured out they'd let them join. Speaking of the Romans. There was one, in particular, she wanted to talk about.

Andy gathered the book that Madalyne Crane had given her just as the Battle of New Rome had begun. It had information in it that Andy didn't know how to interpret. But Madalyne said she would help. So she, with the book, went to the tent that Madalyne was using as her base of operations. Andy wondered if they'd just stay there and have the Hephestus kids make new cabins. Would the two worlds merge? "Uh, knock, knock." Andy said outside the tent since she didn't see a way to knock on fabric.

Madalyne turned her attention she looked at Alexandra for a moment and nodded her that she was free to go for now, she gave a nod and decided to hit the Dining Pavilion that the Greeks were using for meals. "Hey, Andy was it right?" Madalyne asked, the time was rather busy and focused on setting up camp within the Greek's. "What's up?" She asked her.

"Hi, yeah." Andy said. Nodding as Alexandra left. "Andy. Uh. I have the book still. I thought maybe if you have time right now." She trailed off and held up the book. It was big and heavy for the small girl. "If it is a bad time though I can come back." She wanted to get this cleared up before the seventh. She wanted to know what Hecate had to tell her before her birthday.

Madalyne instantly remembered now the night that New Rome had fallen, she had been so busy with setting up everything for the Legion with Nancy and setting up shop in the Greek's camp that she had given Andy her family records. "We can do this now, just pull up a seat." She said gesturing to one of the many chairs that were in the tent.

"Thank you." Andy said taking a seat and awkwardly moving the chair with the book under one arm. She didn't know what to say really about the whole situation of Madalyne having to move here. As such she decided to avoid the situation. "So, what Hecate said was to look at the Crane family records, but I'm not sure how that'll help me." Andy took a deep breath. "See when I was a toddler I was left at a hospital. No one ever found who my parents were. When I found out I was a demi-god that made some sense. But everyone still has mortal parents right?"

Madalyne gently took the book and laid it out onto the table and opened it up, she decided to search through the last fifty years or so. She looked over at Andy for a moment. "Yeah just about everyone has a godly parent and a mortal parent as well too." She said as she looked at some family. "Though most of my mortal family members are probably dead by now, technically I'm in my fifties right now give or take." She said, as she thought for a moment. "Do you know of any documentation like where you were born or birth year?" She asked.

"Uh, you look good for being in your fifties?" Andy looked at her confused. Madalyne looked to be in her teens. How was she in her fifties? Did being a demi-god slow people's aging? If so she might be older. "Best guess is 2009 for when I was born. The system gave me the birthday of July Seventh." She looked down at her hands. It felt weird telling Madyalne her birthday because it was in so few days. Andy didn't like to think about her birthday much since it was another day for her. She hadn't had a proper birthday ever in her memory. "When I was found they guessed I was two. I wasn't old enough to remember much. I know my first name is Andy, but it could be short for something. I was in Pennsylvania. So I might have been born there." She answered.

Madalyne thought for a moment and knew that it probably needed some explanation why she was in her fifties. "Theres a place called The Lotus Hotel and Casino it's in Las Vegas Nevada. Time moves differently in there, a day could mean an actual year or something like that thats where I met Nancy she somehow got there to." She explained as she looked down, she knew that her parents were dead so she went to the closest family, her aunt and uncle who had taken her in. She remembered having two cousins, both of them were really young as she found two names, and looked over at Andy for a moment.

"So says here and I met them when I was younger I have two cousins named Sherri and Chase Crane." Madalyne said as she looked at the names seeing if they had any children, Chase didn't have any kids from the looks of it. However, Sherri did have a child and was also marked with a thunderbolt symbolling Jupiter but didn't have a name. "I think Sherri might be your mom." Madalyne said looking over at Andy.

Andy looked both horrified and a little relieved when Madalyn explained the Lotus Hotel. "Right." She shook her head pushing the thought of what the place was out of her mind for now. She'd have to digest that later. "Sherri Crane." She said. It was her mom's name, hopefully. "Do you know what happened to her?" In all her life Andy had never really craved answers as much as she did at this moment. "So we are related? How? Like I know Demi is my half-brother. And like I guess Arthur is sort of my cousin? But what does that make you?"

"I think this makes me your aunt?" Madalyne said, she was happy to know that she had family now as she looked back at the records and pointed to her mother's name and Andy's mother's name. "My mom and your mom were siblings." She said as she looked more at the record and looked at Andy sighing slightly. "Looks like the records said she died August 17th 2009." Madalyne said looking at Andy for a moment, which was during the second day during the Battle of Manhattan in the Second Olympian War.

"My Aunt." She smiled. But then frowned when Madalyne told her when her mother had died. She had been so young. Only a few weeks. What did that mean? She was somewhere and belonged to someone for a while. But who? "I wonder who was taking care of me then. That's almost two years unaccounted for." She shook her head.
"I know you don't know the answer just thinking aloud."

Madalyne thought for a moment, she wasn't sure either with that amount of time as she looked at Andy. "We could try and look into it, after this whole thing is said and done." She said, she just hoped that they would live through this after the fall of New Rome.

Andy nodded slowly. "Yeah, I think I want to know now. Before when I didn't know anything and just assumed I had been abandoned by my parents I didn't care. I didn't want to know. But now that I know my mom didn't abandon me I want to know who did. I want to know why." Her voice hitched. As far as Andy had been concerned her whole life had been bouncing between homes because she wasn't good enough.

Madalyne reached over and gently rested a hand on Andy's shoulder and gave her a smile, Andy was her family and she would make sure that she was going to be okay. "We'll look into it I promise you, and when we retake New Rome if you'd like you are more than welcome to live there with me if you choose to." Madalyne offered, she paused for a moment and looked at her arm for a moment where she had been bit by a werewolf a month ago she was contemplating on telling Andy about it.

"Thank you. I appreciate it. And I probably will take you up on that. I know that Arthur wants to live there someday too." She said smiling. It was a sudden burst of hope for the future that gave her that smile. Andy wasn't much of a hugger, she didn't care for physical contact because of her life up to this point had not made that a good experience. But she didn't pull away from Madalyne's touch. It was like with her brother. An instant bond formed for her and she trusted Madalyne.

Madalyne gave Andy a friendly smile as she gently rested a hand on her shoulder, she was glad that she had a relative now that she could actually talk to now. Niah and Nancy were like sisters to her, but sometimes they were busy with all of their other duties as well to when she didn't have anything to do. "You'll like it there once we reclaim it back from the Giants and Titans, we even have a university there too for when you are older too." Madalyne said to Andy.

"I've never given much thought to school. I honestly didn't expect to live long enough to get into a college." She told Madalyne honestly. "That was before I even knew I was a demi-god. I've got a lot of school to catch up on if I do go to college though." She'd have to ask Kristin to help her be smart enough for that sort of thing.

To answer Cass' question when she returned, "Just irritated at people who don't want to help, but instead just want to wine and sow chaos." She shook her head.

"Real great to stand by when someone you're supposed to be working with gets kidnapped. Real group ethic you've got going for you." Yeah getting involved fighting with Rumplestiltskin wasn't the smartest thing in the world, but she wasn't one to let those she was supposed to be on a team with get hurt. She didn't understand how Taylor and Rosalia couldn't see that.

Rose tried to smile at her mom, but it failed a little. "I'll be alright. I didn't get hurt." She answered with more her physical state than her mental one. Her mental one was too angry to be alright. Thankfully they were finally leaving so she could be distracted with that. She walked close to her mother, keeping an eye on Sierra.

Colby was legitimately confused. He had missed some sort of drama. Rose was furious. He was glad this wasn't directed at him. He walked next to Maddie as they made their way back out of Camelot. He was tired of the bickering. Even if he was at fault for some of it.

"You okay?" He asked Maddie. They had just been through a lot. He wasn't certain how Maddie was handling being attacked by magic birds sent as a distraction so that Jack could be kidnapped. He certainly was a bit freaked out by it and wasn't sure how he felt about it. Even to himself. And he tried to not be self-delusional.

Andy patted Gryf's beak. She didn't want to get in the way. She didn't know how to help anyone. Everything she could do was basically just fighting. "Thank you." She said to Gryf. "Couldn't have done that without you." That was the truth. She would have been forced to fight on the ground, which was fine she supposed. But in the air it was so exhilerating.

When she finished taking care of Gryf's wounds she sad down with her legs out and let Gryf place his head on her lap. The weight was comforting. She brushed her hand over his beak and the top of his head. "I wish you could talk too. You could tell me what you were thinking. And why you're different." She didn't know why some monsters teamed up with demi-gods, but she was happy this one had.

"Oh thank the gods." She pulled Marco into a hug. "You're okay." Tears started to form in her eyes. Burning them. "I'm sorry. There was a giant, Clytius. Ariadne needed our help. We lost Sean." Her voice hitched a bit with guilt. She knew she wasn't responsible but she hadn't been able to help at all. Not till they were running away. At that time she just held the Giant down and dragged Waverly out of there.

She looked at New Rome wondering if they'd ever be able to go back. It was time though. Time for her to go to college and try to live a normal life. "I'm okay." She said. She pulled out of the hug. From her pocket, she produced the shell compact and gave it back to Marco. "Guess I didn't need it." She looked around for Nancy. Did she know if Terminus was okay? But Nancy was busy helping protect the ship. Mads had collapsed. But Niah was already moving to her side having just come back top deck.

Niah was busy trying to get people into makeshift stations. She was better at this sort of thing. Orginzaing. Then she was at fighting. It was why she had a good head for tactics. She was no slouch in the battle field. That was proven true by her rank.

Niah headed back to the top deck and saw Mads collapse. "Mads, you overexerted yourself." She said partially scolding and partially worried. There was a lot going on with Mads and she didn't know how to protect her. She glanced and saw that Nancy was busy helping protect the ship. "Let me get you down to the first aid station where we can keep an eye on you and get you some calories." She didn't want to loose sight of her friend.

Together Niah led Mads down to the makeshift infirmery and got her a place to sit. She grabbed some Ambrosia the Greeks had and gave her a small square of it. "Here, eat this." Her tone broched no argument.

Niah knew most of what Oliver was going to say, but she listened closely to see if she got a new idea. She was thinking about them posing as Secret Service and then Bonnie suggested it. However, she realized she was going to have to get to the point of being able to walk. She winced at the thought. The next few days would be working on that.

"Luckily, our team isn't super well known. We can use that to our advantage. Bonnie, I'm going to need your help getting to walking again. I think a Secret Service agent in a wheelchair is...suspicious." She smiled. She was going to be part of this. The other option would be for her to be bait, but she wasn't high profile enough. The president was, but they had already tried to replace him.

"We could use Alexander as bait. However, we have an issue. They already tried to replace him. Right? We don't know if they think he is replaced or free. They might treat him as a Skrull." She looked to Dr. Larson. "How do the Skrulls know each other?"

Matt had experience with infiltration so he wasn't worried about his part in the plan, which wasn't made yet. People were throwing out ideas. And he didn't mind the one about posing as Secret Service. He could look the part easily enough. He also wasn't a mutant so any anti-mutant measures wouldn't catch him. The world really wasn't ready for inhumans. He was surprised there weren't already laws going into place to do the same to his kind.

He sipped his coffee. Thinking of what they could do. They needed two plans. One was the plan it looked like they were trying to do and the second plan was the real one. "Alright, if we have to play this like we're idiots then I have an idea. We need two plans. The one that looks like a fumble. Someone get's kidnapped or something. Like obviously a bad plan. And we have a second plan. One so clean no one ever realizes we have it. The dumb luck one looks like it succeeds though. That one is our cover." He nodded. "Using the President as bait might just be a dumb plan."

Ed was tired. It was like his whole body rejected the idea of waking up. But after a moment he opened his eyes and sat up taking in his surroundings. He had never been to jail before. It wasn't what he expected if he was honest. Well not for space jail anyway. He opened his hand and tested if he had magic still. A bit of orange swirled around his hand. That was relieving. If this had been an Eaarth jail inhibitors would have been put on them keeping him from accessing his magic. Something he hated.

He looked over and saw Lance was his cellmate. "You okay?" He asked. He didn't know if he had gotten hit. He thought about the others and his eyes went wide. He checked his pockets real quick. Hoping that he had the vials with everyone's hair. He kept them on him in a protective case so they wouldn't break and the hair get lost. He could use the hairs to make locate everyone else. He let out a sigh of relief finding them. Apparently, whoever had searched them and put them in jail didn't care about a case of vials of hair. That at least gave him hope for keeping the team alive.

Andy watched as Max's magic changed the debris. That was impressive and honestly terrifying. She had been around other mutants in her life but had never seen anything like that before.

Andy joined the others through the portal. She had never traveled like that before and was a bit disorientated. She looked around and took a few slow deep breaths. She looked at Waverly as she asked about Glimps. Andy didn't know how to tell her.

She looked around for Zari. Andy wanted to tell her what happened but didn't see her right away. Zari at least was like her and brand new. Everyone else knew each other. It was her and Stareyes that got wrapped up in this the same day.

Andy leaped off Gryf's back and ran to her brother's side. "You did great." She told him. Worry in her voice. "We have ambrosia right? His eye will be okay right?" She asked. Not wanting to leave his side. She had her own cuts from the attacks they had taken. And Gryf needed to be taken care of too. She was torn.

Gryf needed attention she decided. He wouldn't understand Andy leaving him wounded. She could explain to her brother that she had to take care of Gryf first. And her own wounds were minor. So she took one last look at her brother before he was taken down below deck by Kiera. "Arthur, can you get me some Ambrosia too when there is a chance. I'm going to look after Gryf." She wondered if the creature could eat any Ambrosia, but since Rebecca hadn't given it to him when he first arrived she didn't trust that he could. She'd have to ask someone later.

Gryf let Andy tend to his wounds. She stayed on the deck of the ship since everyone was going below decks for the improvised medical stuff. She didn't want to get in the way. "Hey, you did good Gryf. Thank you. You were fantastic. You don't have to stay if you don't want to, but I'd love to keep working with you." She told him as she took care of the gashes.

Em felt bad, she didn't have a chance to react. To prepare. Fire wasn't really her strength. It all went sideways so quickly. Sean was dead. There was fire everywhere and Ariadne had opened a path for them to escape. Em couldn't leave it like that though. She threw some of her seeds. Having them sprout vines and used those vines to wrap around the giant as much as possible. The fire made it more difficult, but it would keep him in place.

She grabbed Waverly's arm. It seemed like she was doing that a lot. And ran for the opening. Seeing the Argo III she hoped with all her heart that Marco was already on it. Safe and sound with Milo. Please let them be okay. She thought climbing up to the top deck. She wasn't injured but Waverly was. "Get some attention to those wounds." She told her. The wounds of the heart would also have to be attended to, but that was going to much harder. A long explanation would be required to Waverly about why Nancy had chosen to order them to not enter the Labyrinth. And Em was going to have to explain why she broke that order. She had forgotten about the court-martial threat honestly. It hadn't been important at the time. Her home was burning.

Niah stepped away from the controls for the weapons as the ship landed. She started helping people get on deck. When locations for the temporary hospital were given she moved to start helping triage. She knew basic first aid. Niah couldn't heal anyone, but she could patch wounds until someone who could came to take care of it.

Demi was obviously a serious injuring. Waverly had some burns. Em looked a little shell-shocked. Niah headed down to the cargo hold and started moving stuff around so there was room for all the injured. She didn't know how many to anticipate but she knew it would be a lot. Her chest hurt as she held back tears.

"Well maybe if you had contributed you could have joined us in getting tossed around, or I don't know maybe Jack wouldn't have been taken." Rose snapped at Taylor. Taylor and Rosalia were frustrating. They had stood by and done nothing. She retrieved her bow and stepped over to Sierra.

"Are you okay?" She asked her friend. Co-worker was definitely not a good description for them anymore. Even though they had always been on the friendly side. Now a bit of Rose felt that Sierra had her back and so she would have hers. She looked up and nodded. "I'll get your things too Sierra. Put some ice on the bigger sore spots." Rose said before heading up to the rooms and gathering their personal belongings. It wasn't a lot. But it was all they had. She understood why homeless people always carried around so much. The risk of losing anything felt so high.

As she got their things she thought about what Rumpel had said. He wanted to talk with his son. Jack was his son. She frowned. It wasn't the first kid in the group that was the child of a villain. There was the girl who had been with Maleficent. She had been one of the kids that Merlin had brought to Nebraska too.

"Ouch. You're just jealous." Colby said rubbing his ear. With the news that Jack had been taken by Rumpel, his hand dropped though. "The birds were a distraction." Colby said. It was sort of relieving to know that. It meant that they hadn't been targeted. They didn't have an unknown enemy out there. Instead, there was a known enemy. One that Merlin had been fighting for a while.

"Let's go." Maddie and he had their stuff already, rescued from the room. No one had gotten a chance to clean up though so half the group smelled bad. Colby had his cat climb upon his shoulder with a tap, it was a trained trick that came in super handy. Colby had always been good at getting cats to do what he wanted.

He joined the others downstairs waiting for everyone else to get their things so they could leave. His back slung over his free shoulder. He watched as Rose came back down a look of deep thought on her face as she handed Sierra her things.
