The balloon popped in Andy's mind. She had been happy. She had been trying to carve a bit of life out for herself here. Trying to fit in. Trying to be normal on an island full of mutants like her. She had even tried to have something resembling a family. It had a dad. But he was suddenly like all the other attempts, except Jamie. What had started as an attempt to find common ground now was a vast canyon between them. Sure she'd love it if people she cared for didn't die.

She couldn't even respond to what Zari said, she wanted to say how could she know who to recruit when she barely knew anyone. Could Zari even list a dozen people she'd want on a team? It was gone now like water through a sieve. But Polaris had come in and was telling Magneto to lay off. And Andy could see this conversation playing out again and again and it'd never end well.

Andy glanced to Zari, hoping she'd be the brave one again. Be the one to say enough and leave. All Andy could do was fold into herself. If Zari left she would. She could be brave enough if Zari was. Part of Andy knew that way lay danger, that she needed to find the strength she had in the ring outside it. She just reached and grabbed Ash's discarded jacket and put it back on. It was armor in a way. A jacket belonging to the only parent figure that hadn't failed her, because she had died before she could.

Ed thankfully didn't have to answer Mary's questions just yet. Because a portal opened and out stepped the rest of their group. Seemingly all intact. He let out a soft sigh of relief at seeing them again. The anxious pool that had been settling into his stomach released some. "Glad you're all here and accounted for."

He nodded as they explained what they had been through. He agreed with Mary's assessment about Pietro's counterpart here. "I'd like to avoid any more of our counterparts if possible. We need to find a place to hunker down though. The Mansion is out of the question because of Danger, and unfortunately, the ship is in the lake." He paused. "Well maybe with Klara we could get the ship out of the lake now." Saying Klara's name didn't feel right now. He needed to talk to them about his theory without Klara nearby. He also needed to show Mary the tracking spell working for one counterpart but not for the Klara one.

Andy stuffed the jar from her brother into her bag. "Thank you." She told him before he headed inside. She smiled at her Aunt when she joined, relieved that their group was complete now. But of course when Nancy appeared, as Andy had expected, Mads went to talk to her. She sighed. She understood wanting to say goodbye, but she knew everyone was getting annoyed about having to wait and this was yet another delay.

The group started toward the van and she held onto Arthur's hand as they walked over there. At least she'd be at the van ready to get in when Mads joined them. She half leaned into Arthur, "Sit next to me in the van." She requested quietly. Then said loudly, "Sorry, we've got a couple of people coming still. They should be here quickly though." At least she hoped.

Niah nodded to Jason. She understood most of what he said, so she didn't have to ask him to repeat at least. Finally, Nancy came back from the beach. She sighed a little relieved. "One moment, let me talk with Nancy. I'll meet you at the van." She was not leaving without an actual goodbye to her friend. She knew it was probably pissing off the Greeks, but the addition of the new prophecy had made a mess of things.

She joined Mads and Nancy. "Hey." She gave a half-smile. One that was just because she was standing beside her friends. "Just remember you've killed a dragon." If Nancy could do that, she could do anything she put her mind to. "The driver is waiting for us, but I wanted to say see you again soon." She opened her arms for a group hug, letting Nancy and Mads come to her.

Niah tried to reassure herself that Oliver was okay, but that was really hard to do when he had debris sticking out of him. She tuned out almost everything trying to bring herself back to the center. Niah had worked on that during her break from the team and had gained an eerie calm after the fight with the fear bear. She tried to pull herself back into that. It was a fight, which wasn't helped by yet another group of people and copies of their group members appearing. They were in no state to fight so if this group decided they were gonna go murder hobo they'd be dead.

She sighed. And then looked at the new group, still standing by Oliver, still ready for something terrible to happen, but at least she wasn't near hysterics anymore. "Cool more people to try to explain what is going on." She said mostly under her breath, probably only loud enough for Oliver. Then she added, "We need to get you taken care of before much longer."

Matt was glad Cass was okay. Everything else seemed low on the importance spectrum. He had taken her assistance in standing back up. And of course, something else was added to the mix. This world's X-men group apparently. He agreed with Niah's sentiment, even if he didn't hear what she said.

"Well before shit goes sideways again, how about you all let us deal with the wounded we have. Once everyone is awake and not dying we can have a conversation that doesn't come to blows." Maybe. He hoped. But he was ready, his muscles on edge to fight again if he needed. It would be too soon and they were too hurt to do it though.

"I don't trust him. Hence the reason to bring him to the Caravan. We haven't found a new camp yet, so we aren't giving away our permanent location. If we take him there I figure someone in the group can prove he is who he says he is." Rose emphasized someone to drive home the point that she meant Merlin. "Unless you have some other idea that doesn't involve leaving the guy for dead." She raised her eyebrow to Rosalia.

She then turned to Lancelot. "I will try to help you. I'll at least ask if we can lend you a horse." She told him. She didn't smile as she was a little too worried for that. But her tone was kind enough to hopefully put him at ease. She bit her lip, "How about this, one of us will go back to the caravan and get the person in charge? Then you don't have to move and we don't have to give away anything about our location until you're confirmed by them." That seemed like a fair enough compromise. Merlin could come here to Lancelot and that would appease Rosalia (and her own worries), but still help the man.

Colby was a bit surprised by Willow's sudden show of affection. He returned the hug though. "You too. You'll be wonderful" He smiled and winked at her when they separated from the hug. He hadn't anticipated getting along with any of the others after the fight with the skeletons in the tunnel. And he was glad he was traveling with Willow and not Rosalia. This would have ended very differently if they had.

He then leaned into Maddie's arm. "Yeah. I'm ready. Let's get going." He said. Following the others out of the shop. He was still smiling, and it was his classic half-smile. The one that Maddie recognized from his less serious side. Colby felt a little weird without any cat on his shoulder. He had gotten rather used to the weight of a cat on each shoulder. Without that he felt a little off balance and he hoped that wouldn't be a sign of issues to come.

Ed raised an eyebrow surprised at how Thalia healed his wounds. He could heal, but the way Thalia did it seemed like she was literally turning back time to before the wounds had happened. Now that was an interesting power. "Thank you. I'm going to keep moving away if there are more coming." He said then started moving again, away from Central Park and where the gangs of Magento's men were. He wasn't certain how far the perimeter of New York was, but he knew there was a river that divided it from the rest of the US, so he wasn't worried about wandering out of the city.

After a few more blocks he paused to look at Guin/Sabertooth, but she spoke up. Claiming to be Guin again. He didn't know much about her, but he knew there were a few questions he could ask her that Sabertooth couldn't know. "Where is Lance?" That was an easy enough question and he couldn't see how Sabertooth would know the answer. He prepared to drop the bubble around Guin if she answered correctly. If she gave some avoidance answer then he wouldn't.

Andy smiled at Zari's speech. She had used being underestimated to her advantage a lot in her life. It had saved her life. But that had been among humans. She didn't think she'd be around them a whole lot anymore. This place was (mostly) safe. She did raise her head surprised as Magento informed them some were beyond death. With Zari's interpretation did that mean they were gods?

She didn't know what to think about that and sank back a little on her feet. But Magento moved on from that subject to them learning leadership skills. He was right. Doing was the best way to learn. She didn't know who they would recruit. There were probably plenty who wanted to be part of such a thing. She chewed her lip.

"We could go to Akademos." She said, probably butchering the name of the school. "Find a room to practice the big things I want to try. And maybe draw some attention and talk about building the team to protect the island." She knew a show often brought crowds and crowds would sign up for things. Jamie had used the tactic.

Once outside the building, Ed felt better. "I for one tend to have a hard time trusting any telepath. I don't know what brought my counterpart here to decide to do that." Ed frowned. Then added under his breath, "Especially one so unscrupulous as her. I could feel her in my mind toward the end there. I worry what she may have gleaned from any of us."

He started walking in the direction the others were. "They are this way. As I said before I can't give the exact location, but from the pull, it seems they were close. And thankfully all together." He paused in his speech. "I have another concern. I did not have time to experiment with it. But maybe if we have a few minutes to spare I'd like to see if my tracking spell would work for a counterpart in this world." He'd keep his reasons to himself for now, unless pressed about it.

Andy shifted standing next to Arthur as close as she could without touching him. She felt that if she did she'd not want to let go. Everyone was talking and complaining about waiting and she didn't care. The longer they waited the longer she got to stay by Arthur.

But it didn't matter cause there was Mads coming. Their time was up. Maybe they'd get to ride to the city together. But the quests were about to start. It felt so different from the mad flight across the States to find the Roman camp.

"Hey." She said quietly when Mads had finally reached them. Would she want to wait and say goodbye to Nancy?

Niah shrugged at Demi's question. Her fake smile had faded, and she looked sad more than anything. "Nancy is closed off. She trusts two people, well I suppose three now. And you're not one of them." She had more she could say. But she decided not to. "Maybe that'll change on the quest." She added.

As they approached the Big House, she glanced around the gathered group. Her quest group was there and she felt a flush of guilt for being late to join. At least she wouldn't have to try to find the two Greeks in their rooms or something. She didn't even know which buildings belonged to which really. She hadn't bothered to learn.

"I'm ready." She said to Jason and Stella. She hadn't heard the car beep. She wished she would have a chance to say goodbye before they had to separate. But unless they could fit fifteen people in one vehicle they wouldn't get a chance for it.

Niah didn't listen to Sparky. She was done and just wanted to make sure Oliver was okay. He was bleeding and that concerned her. Even if he said he wasn't dead. Niah reached for him, checking that he didn't have any bits sticking out of him that shouldn't be. She sighed relieved but still terrified. How much of that terror for him was from the her that lived here? She didn't know. She didn't care.

She did care though about what Bonnie said. A god in her head. That made sense in a weird sort of way. She had been different since the Thanos stuff. Niah hadn't been there for that fight, but she knew it had been nasty.

"Can we not fight? Can we just talk about this and solve the problem? I want to go home. If you all would just start from the baseline of we are from another universe and we can work it out from there please." She felt petulant saying it. But really she was rather done. She looked over at Cass who was checking Matt over. Begging her mentally to take charge and get things figured out.

Matt was relieved to be uncovered from the disaster. Cass had saved him, which was sweet, though he wished it had been the other way around. He dusted himself. "I'm fine, really. Headwounds bleed a lot. Are you okay?" He asked Cass and looked around at the others. He cleared his throat a little and said quietly to her. "Do you want to speak with Bonnie before we try to hash out differences with the group of people that we just fought?"

Oliver had nearly killed their Captain America so that probably was gonna be held against them. There had been a lot of fighting going on so he expected the fallout from the fight would not be as easy to get over as Niah seemed to think it was. But she looked tired. He sighed and steady himself on his feet. Assessing what damage had been done to the people. "Maybe move out from the destroyed building?" It was too dangerous for them to keep standing in the rubble. Especially if they decided to talk wasn't as much fun as kicking each other's asses.
