@Weird Tales

Erm, nope.

Like I said on the Discord, at this point I think that you really doesn't have what it takes to be in this RP since you can't get a grip of what a Quirk even is or not.

— Chapter 01: Sunken Truths —

A couple days before…

As expected, a whole weekend of leave was a luxury that was well used by most of the cadets, each in their own way. Be it making new acquaintances, like the soft-spoken Elysia who traded numbers with Lucia before going off on her own devices, or Mavis’ misadventures at the mall.

Among all of them, perhaps the only one who hadn’t had any time for herself was Subaru. The mysterious white-haired girl remained behind for “medical purposes”, isolated in an area deep in the laboratories of the Biomedical Research Center. The only things she remembered being the soothing coldness of the equipment she was hooked to and a few disorganized segments of memories like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle.

One could only wonder where this would all lead.

Neo Kyoto - Offshore Processing Facility #01; a.k.a. “The Rig” - 04:30

Present time.

“Alright, Cadets. The situation is dire so we don't have much time to lose. I'm going to be as brief as possible and not repeat myself so, pay attention,” Lieutenant Isoshima said as she came out of the command sector of their transport and faced the Cadets under her command, all of which had been woken up by an emergency alarm before the sun even rose up in the first day after their leave only to be met with a ferocious stormy weather and their well-known transport ready to take them to god-knows-where.

“At 02:00 hours this morning, we lost contact with Neo Kyoto's offshore processing facility number 01 for a brief period of time. That in itself wouldn't be a cause for more worries given that we are in the middle of a typhoon alert. However, fifteen minutes later, we received one single burst of a class II emergency alert before OPF 01 went silent again,” the Lieutenant said, pointing to a monitor behind her back. As expected, it displayed the fact that a class II emergency alert was an Invader raid. In an offshore factory dozens of miles away from any traces civilization. During a typhoon.

“I know I might be asking too much of your this time. However, we are the only available first response unit in the area that can reach OPF 01 in time. Your priority objective for this mission is to find and rescue anyone trapped in there. The facility is mostly automated, so it runs on a crew of 12 officers and 30 technicians. Your Linkers will be given a list of the personnel as well as OPF 01's schematics. Once you've secured any survivors, bring them to Helipad nº03. It's the only place in the whole facility where this transport can land safely.

As a secondary objective, try to clean OPF 01 of any Invaders. However, don't get too hung up on this, since we have no information regarding the enemy forces.

Lastly, there's something else you must recover but Command didn't divulge any information regarding it. Team Arizona will be in charge of that mission since Subaru is the only one with clearance for it. The rest of you must support them if needed.

“Now get your gear ready! You'll be rappelling in 30 seconds since we can't land when the place is this hot. One last thing, all Linkers will have to deploy to the field today. In order to make space for the victims, we had to get rid of any non-vital equipment so you can't help your teammates from the mobile command center.”

The silhouette of the massive Rig, roughly a 500 x 500 meters square massive industrial structure with at least 30 stories over the waterline, finally became visible right as Lieutenant Mako finished her briefing.

The door of the cargo bay was opened a moment later, buffeting the interior of the transport with stormy winds, rain, and saltwater spray right as they approached an area of the rig that wasn't crawling with so many Invaders yet. Even so, countless burning red eyes could be seen here and there when powerful lightning discharges hit the structure or surrounding water.

“Very well then, Cadets, you are authorized to begin your mission now. You have until daybreak, that is 06:00 on the dot. Anyone else who hasn't been evacuated by that point will have to be left behind since our fuel reserves won't last for much more than that. Now, go!” the Lieutenant ordered as she held tightly to the plane. The ice-cold rain and winds had already soaked her to the bones before the mission even began...

@Weird Tales

Well, if you want to, I suppose this one is pretty alright. Just wait for the others' opinion.

Edit: Actually, wait a bit I'll look into this with more detail later/tomorrow. Just to be sure I don't miss anything again.

“Tsc! I guess it can’t be helped. They are as lost as anyone can be. You’d expect people that are almost old enough to drive to have some maturity, but… kids will be kids, I guess,” Abigail said to herself as she looked over her classmates from a perch at the edge of a nearby building. She was drinking from a bottle of sparkling water, with the “villain” robots bound in the floor beside her.

How she got them? And where did she get her drink and the pair of binoculars she was using from? Well, those are good questions that may or not be answered sometime. After all, a girl gotta have her secrets, right?

The important thing was that she was observing the others from a safe haven, while toying with the head of one of the robots, fiddling with it under her one of her feet idly. Well, that and… “Oh, look! If it’s not a water tank with its supports damaged. I wonder if they need a way to cool things down over there,” Abigail said to herself as she noticed as water tank that had its supports damaged after the many collisions and explosions close to her classmates’ location was about to crash down, flooding the streets with so many gallons of cold water.

At least it should put off some of those pesky fires, right?
Am I good to go?

Yes, you are.
1. Well discharging it for punches and kickes is the primary reason for the whole quirk. Be honestly worthless without it. I can take out using it for far range attacks tho. Discharging in an explosive manner makes sense as in loss of

2. Never had the idea for him having an actual turbine on his body. Just another way his body processes air. As said power wouldnt work with an actual turbine on his body cause clothes.

3. Idk if im okay with Kaminari weakness of short circuiting the brain. Cause well powers arent the same technically. Prefer the weakness I placed.

1. If the electricity is the main part (I don't mean in the OOC but rather in the IC sense) of the quirk than you should say so. The way you described him is as a turbine that generates electricity to discharge.

2. Then don't describe him as a turbine when he isn't one! Description of what a Quirk is or not is fundamental in MHA.

3. I didn't mean frying his brain. Unless you didn't read my reply where I stated what kind of disadvantage I was talking about. If his electricity is the fire and forget type it'll behave like Kaminari's electricity does (i.e.: kinda close but not really like real electricity). You don't have control over where it goes after you discharge. You can't aim. It's an AoE effect unless you get a Hero gear to solve that.
@Kal-El

@Kal-El

For some reason, I pictured the turbines to be concealed under all his clothes, like gills to a fish. Is this true? If so, it would explain the lack of massive turbines all over his body.

If that's so, they should be added to the character's description. Either way, keep in mind that if they are concealed, they won't get any wind, thus will be useless for power generation.

@Kal-El

Also, bear in mind that, since your quirk isn't to control the electricity itself, just produce and release it, regardless of the way you answer @TheWindel's Windel's question, your quirk will be subject to more or less the same flaws as Kaminari's quirk.

You can't really aim a discharge of electricity, it'll simply follow the fastest path to the ground and spread evenly if all paths are similar. Unless you get something like the equipment he got for the provisional license, any large discharges will end up being AoE attacks that are as likely to fry your allies/innocents as well as any target you may intend them to hit.

Remember, Quirks usually don't come with the required secondary superpowers that are common in comic books. They are really... quirky. Learning to work with whatever you've got is a huge part of MHA's theme after all.

PS: It also should be a mutation quirk, not an emitter type. Since the lightning is a secondary effect of physical mutations.

PS II: I actually don't see any turbines on the images you've used and you didn't mention anything in a separated description either. How does he work like a turbine if he has no turbines on his body at all?

I frankly expected something more like this:

If you want to make your description match your function.
@KoL changed it to 1 ton

Thanks. Just one more thing, then. How long do his energy reserves last?

Madhisi
Current Location: Canal District -- close to a certain ruined fast food place

“Grrr!”

It all happened too fast for any human to react to. In the split moment that passed between when she ordered Berserker to attack and the time it took for their opponents to notice to and react to it, Madhisi fell to the ground on her knees. Someone -- no, something that couldn’t be human -- caught her by surprise with a curse that didn’t stick but was enough to have her throw up and almost pass up. But, more important than that, it made her aware of something…

“How could I… that’s not…” she tried to process what happened just as the pain coming from her Command Seal shot up to a whole other level. Was this what really meant to have Berserker fight on her behalf? If that’s so, what would happen when…

However, now was not the time for that, if she couldn’t get back to her feet the only thing that waited her was death.

“Fight… kill… survive… Fight… kill… survive… Fight… kill… survive… Fight… kill… survive… Fight…”

That was the only thing in Madhisi’s mind now as Lancer’s Master approached with the intent of finishing her off. Pain, grief, and the realization of her own sins, all could come later. But neither would if she didn’t finish this here and now.

With a growl and a feral grin that weren’t much unlike those of her own Servant, Madhisi pushed herself against a tree, to try and regain her footing while commanding her golem to attack.

At his master’s command, the clay familiar charged towards’ Lancer’s Master, its limbs extending in inhuman ways and turning into powerful blunt weapons. Even the toughest mage would have difficulty surviving if they were to be hit by one of these.

While her familiar bought her time, Madhisi began to cast a spell to dry up the soil nearby while the intensity of the winds grew slowly but surely. Two curses folded into one, the first to dry up the land and produce sand and dust, creating a sandstorm and the other, targeted at Lancer’s Master, a curse to make others get lost. She probably couldn’t face this mage in direct combat, but if she could disorient him she had a chance of striking a killing blow.

All that was left is wait, and hope...

Going towards: Nowhere
