@Marlowe I've been saying that for years and have been met with indifference each time by mod staff.

@Crimson If you both have ghost mode on and friend each other, the system tells you when they're online. It's one way to tell if you're friends with a person.

星空 不朽 | Hoshizora Everlasting: Vae Victis

Roleplay Synopsis

Welcome to 星空 不朽 | Hoshizora Everlasting: Vae Victis.

Vae Victis is a roleplay situated in the anime-inspired magitek world of Hoshizora Everlasting. Set during the Great Solar Uprising, Vae Victis is a small scale roleplay about a spacefaring band of freedom fighting misfits rebelling against the Solaris Accord, the current largest and dominant power in the known universe.

Although the Solaris Accord's governmental ministries claims that it is a shining beacon of democracy, freedom and prosperity, it could not be farther than the truth. Across the Accord, many planets are hampered by the galactic nation's jingoistic policies. It isn't unusual for impoverished, slave-like conditions to exist despite the advances of magitek, and neutral worlds are frequently forced into the nation's fold either by ruinous warfare or underhanded treaties.

Perhaps there was one day where the ancient republic truly stood for the righteous in the past, but now it has grown too fat and corrupt for its liking. And today, the people have had enough.

Out of Character Information

'ello, everyone!

For those who aren't in the know, this roleplay is a sort of spiritual successor to an old roleplay I once tried to GM on the guild many years ago before life and other such things got in the way. The roleplay in question didn't get far, but if you'd like to look it over, you can find it here by this link.

For the sake of time, I won't be going over the lore in depth in this thread as the information is more or less the same from before and is covered in the previous thread and the above intro. The only thing that truly needs to be disregarded from Hoshizora no. 1 is the Asterisk, Neutral Rim, etc. stuff as those do not exist at this point in my timeline as this roleplay takes place during the on-going rebellion that eventually led to the creation of those things.

I will be taking on a small-to-medium group for this roleplay, but spaces will be limited due to varying factors (potentially reserved slots, sheet deadlines, etc.). If you're cool with that and have any questions, concerns or whatever, please let me know. :)
Welcome to the guild, @daredabble. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Velma is so bad that every side of the culture socio-political spectrum can hate it for different but also valid reasons. Thanks, Velma, for bringing people together to make fun of your genuine awfulness.

I checked it a few days ago and the show was resting at 10% on Rotten Tomatoes. By the time I woke up the next day it dropped to 7% audience rating. Literally any place you look (Metacritic, IMDb, Google User reviews, etc.) there isn't a lick of goodwill towards it.

I don't know. I thought the first season was pretty fun, but yeah its nothing great. I think we are a little too hard on SAO at times in the anime community. It's average at worst, I feel.

I just think SAO is a terrible series. I don't have much of anything positive to say about it, although I will admit it has been awhile since I watched the show. I do think the GGO sections are just slightly better, however, but not by much.
D&D or Pathfinder

Why even consider D&D at the moment with how they're handling the OGL, though
So people keep telling me SAO is bad after the first or second season, everything after is all downhill. That right?

SAO in general is a bad show.

It isn't worth watching unless you care to watch mainstream stuff.
