Current I'm going to have to take a break for awhile. One of my dogs just passed; we went to bed together like we always do and when I woke up she was gone. I feel awful right now.

Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

Hi. If you've wound up here, you're probably wondering who I am.

You can call me Kuro, although some of you might better recognize me by one of the several other names that I have used in the past throughout the 11-ish years that I have spent on this forum. I'm a middle-twenties retail manager that is still trying to relive the glory days of their roleplay career while balancing a full-time job with an unsatiable need for overtime.

I tend to be open to most ideas when it comes to roleplay itself, be it whatever genre, group size, system, etc. That being said, I often gravitate to anything that falls in the following categories: anime, fantasy, slice of life, superhero or survival horror. If you believe that you have an idea that I might be interested in, feel free to shoot me a link; I'll get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Sometimes I forget to check my messages, so don't feel bad about pestering me again if I missed it.

I also have a discord server laying around. If we're cool, then I might be willing to a toss an invite your way.

Welcome to the guild, @BaileyBlue302. As an ice breaker, are there any particular genres, fandoms, etc. that you're interested in?
Welcome to the guild, @scribblehead.
My spotify playlist thought I needed to listen to this repeatedly today despite being on shuffle. I ain't gonna complain, though, it's still an enjoyable track from my childhood that I can regularly listen to.

Does anyone use Pokemon Home? I'm just throwing fodder at the GTS and what not from my POGO account to fill out my Pokedex.

edit: lol just got a shiny japanese kakuna for a random metapod, nice
>And my two of my four wisdom teeth are impacted.

Everyone out here having issue with their wisdom teeth while mine were so small they didn't even need to be removed

I guess I ended up being the lucky one for once lol
Imagine necroing a four year old thread.

Generally, Discord (or any messenger app, like when we all used Skype or Yahoo Messenger) is not for everyone. Being a messenger app, Discord does have more limitations than posting on RPG. The character limit, formatting, etc. If you're someone who likes being heavy on word count or aesthetic, then Discord is probably not for you. For instance, the only way to get colored text on Discord that isn't white is to abuse script coding, which might not even work out properly as you're essentially "cheating the system" by doing so.

As for group size, I do think large groups would probably have more of a challenge keeping up the flow, mainly because everything feels condensed on Discord. Given messenger limitations, Discord is better used for brief, perhaps quick posting. With big group sizes, posts of this nature can easily be lost in a flurry of text. Using Discord for 1x1s or small group, like a DnD tabletop party, is probably your best bet at getting mileage out of the platform, I believe.

>Having tried it I can confidently say that it isn't for me. The character cap is too low, when I really get into the flow my writing can trend quite purple, and posts often go by way too fast even with a posting order. Especially if you've got multiple people interacting in one scene. Plus with the way Discord functions, finding old posts (to refresh your memory of what's going on for example) on things like the mobile app is just a pain.

If you pay for Nitro, you should be able to post longer messages. Not saying you should, but rather just to note that it is a way to get around the character limit.
Vampire Survivor has its claws in me

Don't you mean teeth?
@BreakingReign I know that you want no restrictions or boundaries, making this a pure sandbox, but I suggest at least finding a central location to focus on, be it a state, city, etc. That way you don't have character(s) and/or groups cut off from each other, stifling any interaction because no one can react to anyone.
Zeroth post + character post is up.

Feel free to react to the zeroth post or just introduce your characters. Up to you, I just wanted to give people an idea as to what to write for a post. A feeler, if you will.
