Current I'm going to have to take a break for awhile. One of my dogs just passed; we went to bed together like we always do and when I woke up she was gone. I feel awful right now.

Had a fun birthday. Had some alligator tail for dinner, overall was pretty good for a place I hadn't been to before. Will start getting back into the groove of things soon.

The summer humidity beamed down upon from the sky. It had ramped upwards, growing in intensity with each passing hour.

Suzanna could feel the warmth against the fabric of her waders as she stood in the middle of a secluded pond and casting away at the water. It didn't bother her much as might've others. Heat—or cold, for that matter—were simply a variable to suffer through or use to her benefit. If she wanted to eat, her livelihood required it. Letting a day go because a "little heat" meant less food, and sometimes money, barters and other such things, on the table.

And so, Suzanna found herself fishing on a day like this, where the denizens of Pines Holler floundered from the lack of a functioning electricity grid as much as fish did on land.

Reeling in her cast, Suzanna glanced upwards at the sky. It must've been four, perhaps five hours since she had been out here. It was easy to lose track of time out in the wilderness. She didn't mind it. Being out here, in the forests or elsewhere, had a quaint feeling she grew attached to. But as picturesque her surroundings were, there were still things that needed done and dealt with. Overdue bills. Sorting through her grandfather's belongings. The list seemed endless.

Suzanna walked back to the edge of the lake, pole in-hand. She reached for an old, ratty cooler, freshly filled with water from the pond, and opened it. Good. The fish inside seemed fine. At least fine enough for to be considered edible. Stressed meat never tasted well, her grandfather had taught her.

Picking up the cooler, Suzanna began to hike back through the forest. Twigs crunched under the worn, rubberized wader boots. Various birds chirped in the nearby trees. After a few minutes of walking, Suzanna entered a clearing that led to a dusty, dirt road that she had left the rust bucket she called a truck parked on.

She opened the door to the truck, and slid the cooler onto the passenger seat along with the pole. Climbing inside, Suzanna cranked the truck hard. The engine sputtered like a cough before it developed a loud roar, whirling life back into its components. It sounded like total shit, even to a non-mechanic such as herself, but she was thankful it still worked.

Checking her mirrors, Suzanna turned back on the road from the easement and headed back to town. She wondered if Clark's was open by now, having needed to grab a few things before the day grew any longer. She figured they must've been, but with the current black out, there was no way to say for certain.

Nancy acknowledged the officers; one of which had recognized her from before during the bank assault.

"I suppose I have a habit of getting myself into trouble." Nancy mused, as the officer thanked them while they took the Delgatos into their custody. "They'll probably be back. I suggest keeping more patrols in the area, at least for awhile. Their boss wanted them to set up this construction site as a place of operations."

Once the police left, Nancy then turned her attention back to the teenager. Madalyne seemed less worried about helping her pack and more focused on her classes. Perhaps it was a good thing, Nancy figured. She didn't particularly feel keen to have her rooting around in her things. Spare parts, important data—Nancy didn't need her breaking something that she needed.

"Your number will be fine. Zero-Zero will record in its communication logs." Nancy explained. A robotic arm motioned towards a desk set-up, wherein a console and other expensive-looking electronics sat. "Enter it in there. It'll link to the mainframe once you do."
Heyya, mods and admin team. Got a request for you!

In an RP I'm in, I use abbr tags to give heavily accented dialog a plain English translation because it's hard to understand. However! These tags can't be viewed on mobile. I've read that there might be a very small site code adjustment to address this issue. I'll let the site coders look into what would need to be done, specifically, if this is deemed worthy.

An easy work around this is to treat it like wikipedia. Use superscript/[sup] with a list below the post. I'm certain you could beautify it up a tad, but to give a rough example:

"Sumthin' like diss." 1 He suggested.

1 "Something like this."

AJ leaned into her mother's embrace, resting her head on her chest. The hug felt comforting despite the bloodshed, death and carnage that now surrounded them. She felt she could trust her mother's words, and it brought some ease that she sorely needed.

A knock then drew her attention elsewhere, away from her father. She glanced towards the door, and peeped through the small view hole. It was one of the other survivors—Kaitlyn, AJ could've sworn. Apparently some of them were planning on making a supply run into the zombie-infested resort. AJ had half the mind to ask them if they could look for her father, but she felt hesitance in her throat. Was it fair to ask? More so, would they even entertain her request? AJ didn't want to see anyone get hurt looking for her father, no matter how much she wanted them to.

"Uhm," AJ awkwardly began, opening the door to the cabin. "My mom might know if we need anything."

She then turned to her mother.

"I'm... I'm going to go join them." AJ continued, referring to the soccer match outside the cabin. She wanted to give them some space; to allow the adults to talk. "I'll make sure to stay in sight, okay?"
Continuing my playthrough of Resident Evil games while I wait for RE9 to come out this week.

The remake for RE2 is miles better than RE3. RE3 feels too linear compared to the exploration you had in RE2. Even Nemesis wasn't that much of an issue; his boss fights weren't too much of a challenge and I really only struggled during the chase scenes because dodging could be wildly inconsistent at times. Surprised they haven't fixed the camera angle issue where it hyperfocuses on Nemesis during his boss fights by now lol
Hi fellow role-players, I'm Blade. The last time I role-played on a forum was back in the 2010s on a proboards site. Since then I've role-played outside of forums a few times and have rarely typed some very short stories. Recent events have encouraged me to give this another try, and I'm pleased to see that at least a few of these sites are active. After a day of browsing, I'm impressed by site features for threads such as tabs for characters and indications of availability.

My RP preference leans towards sci-fi and 19th century, with the two combining in steampunk.

A lot of those features are entirely custom made by @Mahz, the site owner. The guild largely runs off custom framework for the most part.

Welcome to the guild, btw.

The robotic suit looked back at the teenager, as if it was considering the offer. What place could she possibly know of? She was simply a student. Was Madalyne going to suggest her parents' garage? Her school dormitory? You couldn't hide a towering exosuit there, much less an entire base of operations. But Nancy was out of options, and she did need to move. The Delgatos were bound to show up again once they learned their scouts were arrested. And while Nancy would've loved to give them a piece of her mind as well, now was an opportunity to retreat and lick her wounds.

"It'll take time," Nancy explained to Madalyne. She was in no condition to move just yet. "This building contains irreplaceable equipment I need to continue operating. Leaving it behind is out of the question."

Her sensors began to pick up radio chatter, alerting her to police presence. It would only be a matter of time before they would arrive to pick up the captured Delgato crooks.

"Once police take the Delgatos into their custody," She turned her attention back to the criminals whom were now relived that they weren't going to be vaporized. "Then I'll begin packing. I just hope whatever you have in mind is worth it."

AJ had been on numerous vacations throughout her short sixteen years of life. Her family would travel to her grandparents for Christmas, and they often travelled to California to visit her aunt. It was something she often looked forward to. She loved to visit unfamiliar, strange or distant locales; places and experiences that she normally wouldn't get to have in her New Jersey hometown of Glen Rock.

So, when her parents broke the news that they were going to an island resort over the course of summer break, AJ had been practically clawing at the thought of summery tans and beachside relaxation. She watched the calendar like a hawk with each passing day, going over and over her list of things to bring to ensure she had absolutely everything she would need to party and enjoy her time on the island. It wasn't every day you could visit a fancy resort (even though her parents were the ones paying for it). AJ wanted everything to be absolutely perfect.

In another life, AJ would've been out on the beach, lounging away and sipping from a coconut drink right now. But like the other tourists on the island, AJ had her dreams ripped away from her. The carnage, the bloodshed—she couldn't shake the image out of her head. It came back like a recurring nightmare, haunting her dreams and thoughts. Gone were the ideals of a luxurious beach vacation. The only things that were on her mind now were staying alive, her parents, and getting off this hellscape of an island.

"Mom, she began, "do you think dad is okay?"

Her voice was unusually timid; a far cry from the typical extroverted happy go-lucky attitude she often had. She had stuck to her mother's side like glue since the incident. AJ didn't want to be alone, and she also didn't want to potentially lose another parent. They had been separated from her father following the chaos a month ago, and he had yet to surface alive or dead. AJ dearly hoped he was still alive, but with each passing day, she began to lose a little more faith.

She took off her ball cap, looking over the Brooklyn Nets logo that embroidered the front of the hat. It had been a gift from her father years ago; a time when better memories were to be had. A time when simply living hadn't been a matter of life or death.

"He has to be, right?" AJ continued, turning to her mother. "Dad's strong. If anyone could make it out there, it'd be him."
@Nallore do you know any alive one's similar to this?

I don't think there are any RE RPs cooking right now on the guild. You might have to settle for a general zombie RP or make your own.
