Perillian

Tall, blond and powerfully built, Perillian is a sheer block of well-honed muscle mass. Beyond her normal mortal form, she also has a particular fascinating piece of gear- her breastplate. Beaten and made out of burnished steel, the breastplate has four beautiful mechanical arms forged and affixed to the back, giving Perillian an extra two sets of limbs. These arms can be simply used to hold additional objects to free up her biological ones, or various tools and weapons may be mounted on them.



A brass orb covered in gears that whirrs and clicks with each second. It feels like a living object when held, with a slight and strange warmth to it. When placed into the socket it becomes still, and forms a smooth brass surface with no clear marks on it.







Perillian previously was a mild supporter of Sandrimor. Although she didn’t see any particular reason to support him over anyone else she still gave her Core to him every cycle, assisting him with the continuation of his rule. Now however, without any obvious choice she’s far more discerning about who she supports, and may be harbouring the idea of claiming the throne for herself.

Entering this domain is like being smacked in the face with a blowtorch, such is the incredible heat. Every inch of it is a noisy, smoky and packed realm, filled with clanking metalworks, gnomes, goblins and automatons crawling over every surface. Although there are pockets of calm and coolness for other Gods to visit and remain, most of the time the Workshop is a confusing and grimy place... But Perillian is right at home.

All of her greatest works are produced in the Workshop. Any new thing that she or her peoples can tinker up will be made in the Workshop, and potentially even shared among the mortal races. Beyond just this though, the Workshop has one of the greatest artefacts that the Gods of ever seen, the Soulforge. At the centre of the workshop is the Soulforge- the massive construct where Anathema and Avatars can be built.

The Soulforge is at the core of her domain, and is impossibly hot- far too hot for any mortal to enter. In fact, the heat is so great that not even the constructs in her domain can venture inside for too long, the central structure being suspended over constantly-flowing magma. It is here that her greatest works are formed, hammered out with the precision and mastery that only a Goddess could manage.

The universe is cyclical and malleable. It ends, it begins, it turns and churns like a sea tossed about by the wind and the waves, creating and destroying in the blink of an eye. Between these cycles there are spaces of calm, and in those calm is where the Shapers live. Immortal, immensely powerful and slightly alien, every time the universe settles they build worlds and fill them with creations. In short, they are Gods.

These periods of calm are not short. Millennia pass between each great roil, time a plenty for worlds to rise and fall on their own. With the guidance of the Gods however, these worlds become far more. They become special, and they become unique. With the Roil subsiding once more, and with the fading of the previous leader of the Gods, this next series of worlds will be the battlegrounds of dominion. This will not be a peaceful cycle, no. This is a new age.

The age begins as the old one ends. Sandrimor, the controller of Magic and Time, and the holder of the Throne of Kings for every previous cycle has faded in the last Roil. With a power vacuum now in place, the Gods must decide. Who among them can hope to hold enough Immortal Cores to give them the power of the Throne?

Gender:

Major Domains: One major domain, or two that are very linked with one another.

Minor Domains: As many minor domains as you wish can be picked (assuming that they are logical for that God,), but there is no exclusivity to these- multiple Gods may hold power over the same minor domain.

Opposing Domains: Any domains that are antithetical to the major domains of the God.

Appearance: Either a short, one or two paragraph description per form (most Gods will only have one or two forms that they feel comfortable in) or detailed pictures. Only very detailed manga will be permitted, western art is greatly preferred.

Core Appearance: What their Core looks like. Must be small enough to fit into the Throne’s sockets.
Personality: Likes dislikes, etc etc.

Relationships: How does this God view other Immortals?

Allegiances:

Domain: Each God has their own domain- essentially their house- that they have permanent and total control over. These can only be entered through having the permission of the owner God, or by invading.

Peoples: Gods are generally associated with a specific race or peoples, or small group of such.

Avatar and Anathema: Avatars are the God’s wills made manifest. No matter the shape or form they are capable of slaying other deities and are the greatest weapon that any God can have. Anathema are weapons that are capable of slaying immortals without damaging their Cores, and are usually limited to a small collection. Anathema and mechanical Avatars will need to be reforged after a Roil.

The current situation in the universe is as follows. With the Roil having faded, planets can be remade and designed by the Gods again. During the Roil Gods go into a state of 'stabilisation,' where they conserve energy by not interacting with the world around them. Occasionally, when they reform, a new God will have been created, or an old one will have 'faded,' and departed to a plane unknown. Upon awakening, the Gods have discovered that the throne is empty- Sandrimor, the old Ruler, has faded away, leaving a power vacuum.

In order to reclaim the throne, one God must obtain at least six cores from the other Shapers. This was a method agreed upon dozens of cycles ago, and these cores can be obtained diplomatically... Or through slaying the other god and claiming it through violence.
