Doomguy then patted him on the shoulder, letting his actions speak as his forgiveness, as he slowly approached the back of the shack. As they would probably wonder what happened, the marine inspected the box where he saw what appeared to be a weapon. It turned out it was, a very familiar looking double-barreled shotgun, with extra ammo cases beside it. He picked it up, inspecting it as he reloaded it with its signature double click.

Click-click.

It looked almost identical to the Super Shotgun he once owned back in his universe. This should serve him well as he put it on his back. He also realized that this was the last weapon he could carry, meaning that he'd have to drop and exchange a weapon for a new one as he happened to see fit.

Also @Prince of Seraphs, I have an idea... when Bayonetta is in Hyrule castle, I want her to take a very cool costume. Like she'd be walking down casual until seeing it, buying/stealing it, and then wearing it through at least part of Hyrule, if not all of it. What's this costume you may ask? Something that Zelda will happily love is one clue:

I have no problem with costume changes or outfits with special abilities but where exactly would Bayonetta be acquiring this outfit? None of the Zelda tunics are stocked in the Castle Town shops.

Whew, situation defused. Now, hopefully, the Gourd Lake group can get moving along with the plot.

Not to my knowledge. All I'm aware of is an airship dock, and the location of the school on top of a cliff. The best option might be to leave it somewhere in Vale close to the airship hub.

O...k... So clearly my joking was not recognized for what it was. I guess I wasn't apparent enough in that. It wasn't meant to actually be Epona herself, just a similar looking stand in. All my followup was an extended joke. And yes, I know a lot about horses.

They don't really look all that much alike. Aside from similar age and hair color there are very few similarities, different dress style, height, bearing etc. But putting that aside horses are not stupid, various studies show that horses identify various members of their herd and differentiate their human handlers by a mixture of auditory and visual cues much like humans do. So unless Gaige also has an identical voice to Malon the horse still wouldn't recognize her. That and in the game Epona wouldn't come within five feet of Malon if she was with anyone else. She's a wild stallion.

You ever see that movie: Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron? Epona's basically like that horse except she'll listen to a human if they play her song.

All of the other horses are broken though, they'll listen to anyone.

Gaige pat a red female horse on the side. It had an especially decorative saddle that no doubt signified it was important in some way. The horse seemed to be distrustful of the people around it, but Gaige didn't bother ti too much. Maybe she reminded the horse of someone by being the same age and hair color? Who could say?

Epona doesn't react to anyone well, she's a wild stallion that was never broken. The only way to control her is through Epona's Song.

Terra Branford - Hyrule Fields

Gaige started talking at five miles a minute though Terra could keep up with her speech most of what she said made little to no sense. What was Greek? She'd never heard of such a place though she'd never heard of this Pandora either so perhaps it wasn't that surprising. Gaige brought up an idea that Terra had been hesitant to voice, that they each came from different worlds.

"Where I come from the source of magic is the powers of three gods that collectively we call the Warring Triad. At the dawn of the world they turned themselves to stone in a perfect alignment to keep their powers from destroying everything. The last thing I remember before ending up here was confronting a crazed Magitek Elite at the base of the Triad. He pushed them out of alignment unleashing their powers on the continent. That much concentrated magical energy unleashed at a gateway between two realms it's possible their power shattered the walls of reality."

Terra hadn't wanted to consider this possibility though it had been nagging at her because it meant that her world, the focal point of the disturbance very likely wouldn't have survived. She'd be lucky if the other three members of her party had been sent spiraling into other realms as she had and not been killed by the blast.

Not wanting to dwell on such things Terra listened to Hildibrand in his apparently normal manner praise her ability to ask simple questions about there surroundings. He did remind her that she'd neglected to give everyone her name. "My name is Terra Branford."

When Hildibrand produced his transceiver Terra jumped at the name. "Magitek?" she asked to no on in particular and wrenching her hand from his grasp snatched the object from his hand. Though she had never seen a device like it Terra could say with certainty that it was the same type of technology as that of the various magitek device developed under Kefka's watch. She turned on Hildibrand suddenly. "Where do you come from?" she asked brusquely completely ignoring Scout's bragging about his own achievements.
