>> Chooses to Defend the Bridge

Marcus kept hovering throughout the trees. The feather he consumed earlier helped him make his way from tree to tree. Not exactly the best means of offense, but excellent for catching the little brats. Looking around, Marcus realized how much he hated the woods. He wouldn't admit it though the atmosphere scared him. Nothing around him except for trees. All he could hear was the faint laughter of children and the rain hitting the tree branches.

"Shit," Marcus cursed as he lost his footing. He slowly fell forward; reaching for a branch, he picked himself back up to continue the movement. The rain really made the rest of slow leap slippery. Marcus shivered slightly, trying to focus on nothing but the children. He hoped this mission would end already. He couldn't help to think that he was hearing things. For a second, he swore he heard a clear voice.

"Son of a bitch," he turned his head to see the woman catching up. Her magic seemed to have helped her. His heartbeat raced fast with what he considered was an enemy. Not wanting her to think he was scared, Marcus shrugged it off and approved of the collaboration. "Yeah, sure. Whatever. I'll help you."

Marcus confidently felt better. The accompany of another person, despite her being a nuisance, really lighten the atmosphere. "I think we're close," the teen mentioned. He was correct as the laughter grew louder. The noise was not deafening but only increased in volume. Marcus raised his arm as to signal a halt. He planted his feet on the last branch he leaped on; he even grabbed onto some tree bark to ensure he wouldn't float forward with too much momentum. "What the" Marcus eyes widen.

The area looked exactly as Liz saw in her vision. All the kids gathered around an empty circle with an absence of trees.
It was such an abnormality for the trees to just have stopped. The only peculiar thing in the circle was a double stream crossing by. The two creaks met with each other yet their current still continued. Most of the kids were happily playing in the water. Some of them splashed each other while others were just jumping up and down. The water looked shallow enough.

Their laughter could still be heard. Seeing kids playing usually can be described as wonderful or pleasant to see. Not in this case, the best word that can be used is "haunting." The rain falling down and the tall trees did not help how awful this appeared. Before the teenagers could make a move, they stopped. All the kids suddenly turned around to the trees. Their bodies became stiff as a board; all their arms fell to their sides and their mouths became closed.

The teens could still hear laughter though. They clearly saw the kids' mouths were not opening, but the childish giggling proceeded. Not only that, but following that was a high-pitched song. The song broke out and possibly hurt the teen's ears. Something about the music caused irritation. It affected the children too, but in a more primal way. They started dancing around the creak--while doing this dance, they began screaming obscenities and other incoherent mess.

The children formed a circle. With close inspection, Liz' sister was in the water unconscious. Her body stayed afloat as the other kids danced around her. Momentarily, the noise stopped. The dancing, the screaming, the music, it all came to a halt. Nothing was amounting to any sense. Was this all planned by the kids? Where was the person responsible for this?

Before any more questions could be mentally asked, a hostile growl could be heard on the other side. Trees collapsed as something pushed its way into the circle. Teens might have thought this probably have been the works of a person with mutant powers. They realized how wrong they had become.

The thing stepped into the clearing. His eyes adjusted to the falling rain. With a grunt, he looked into the direction of where the teens were kept. "There are only five of you. You should've brought more," his voice was heavy. It almost sounds like thunder by itself. He lifted his heavy arm to stroke one of his antlers. "The one you call "sister" has the purest of hearts." The monster approached closely to the stream.

He stood above the children as they surrounded Liz's sister. "Because of that, her sacrifice is needed. And it will happen. You can fight, but your loss is inevitable." A breath of air came out of his nostrils. "Go home and live another day of your short life."

Phoenix Wright pressed his palms on the tile floor. His own joke did severely hurt his morale. He could feel his knees shaking a bit as they held him together. The lawyer mumbled which might have come off more as a complaint. "I'm an ace attorney, not a comedian." Wright then wondered what his 8 years of college led toward. Picking his head up, he examined everyone. His education took him to a place with a bear, bird, cyborg woman, an angsty teenager, and a kid in pajamas to fight two drummers in a joke battle.

While Phoenix Wright was taking some breathing exercises, a lot had occurred. He put some extra push on the floor to get back on his feet. Apparently, the drummer boys made a mistake and tried to bomb the party to smithereens. Wright did not notice save for the kid wearing the sleeping attire. Like a hero, he took the giant, explosive weapon and hurled it elsewhere. The ace attorney felt odd that a kid acted with such selflessness. Hell, he has been acting selflessly this entire time. One of the main reasons that the party members prone to fighting were not trying to duel the drummers was because of Frisk.

Phoenix Wright kept a mental note and suggested that she should congratulate Frisk on a job well done, face to face. Luckily, his heroics did cause the enemy to have a change of heart. Without any conflict necessary, they chose to show us the way to the King. Looks like it all took just a moment of saving grace. Not practical, but Wright was glad it happened either way. When they arrived, Wright was not certain if he should be surprised any longer.

Of course, the drummer boys introduced the party to a giant whale. Phoenix Wright immediately regretted his life choices leading up to this moment when the whale began to speak in an accent. "So it talks," Wright hummed. Keeping his ears opened, he listens to the conversation being held between both parties. Things were looking grim as the whale assured that the others wouldn't take kindly to a passive approach. Phoenix Wright began sweating.

Dubstepp took a few steps behind his rabbit bodyguard. He sighed, putting a thumb to his forehead. "Another wolf party? I'm really getting sick of-." Dubstepp stopped his sentence short. He took a few seconds to examine the target more closely. Something was amiss about the new wolves. He then chuckled noticing his small mistake. "So this is how it's going to be. Red wolf, blue wolf, big wolf, a see-through wolf, we get it. This is getting repetitive." Dubstepp commented, not realizing that he made a rhyme.

Tapping Totoro on the back, he nodded his head. He heard the commands of Reylan. Shrugging his shoulders, Dubstepp considered it would be the best option. "Looks like that's the best course. You're more likely to draw the attention to the other two monsters," the musician muttered. He gently pushed his pet toward the battlefield. Totoro pounded his chest and burst into a quick rush.

He aimed directly toward the phantom wolf located in the center. Pushing his arms back, he pulled them forward to deliver a devasting punch combination. Dubstepp let his eyes quickly scan the other two. Digging into his pocket, the musician tried his throwing technique. Dubstepp withdrew a dart and carefully held it in his hand; taking the time to line it up with his shot, he threw it at the phatom wolf on the right.

Totoro hits Center Phantom Wolf.
Dubstepp throws dart at Right Phantom Wolf.

@ProPro

Apologies for missing the last round. I'll be more aware of when to post. I think I became confused because I saw a roleplayer post and I thought the 7 day counter was starting from that specific post. Anyways, I'm more enthusiastic now that we're in a city for a change. Expect a post from me today or tomorrow.

Hi, everyone! I see there has been a mission success. Does this mean I'm going to be in the next mission: Defend the Bridge?

Roman Martin carefully took a few steps back. He pressed his back against the wall as the small woman spoke. He already apologized for his blunt comment about the woman's physical features though she definitely was not having it. The kid glanced at the dead woman on the floor; he began to imagine himself in that situation. His face turned green at the thought; shaking his head, he tried getting the negative thought out of his head. He would have to be careful with what he said from now on. He certainly did not know how these people would react.

He mumbled to himself like an infant. Afterwards, he listened to the woman of the group first. Honey seemed the most energetic on handling the situation as quick as possible. The spider-woman, on the other hand, was a bit confusing. She kept flipping attitudes like a coin. Roman lifted his finger to speak with. "I actually have an apartment located here. It's a lot better than most homes here. And it's appropriate for talking," Roman suggested.

He kicked the floor wondering if the people would decide it if it was an essential idea. Roman did not really have an apartment complex. The building itself was still just made out of scrap metal and wood; however, the structure proved larger than others. Roman invested a lot of odd jobs and other errands into providing a big enough home for him. Most homes only have one room with an included sleeping bag. Roman's house had three rooms with two mattresses. Just mattresses though.

"I think I just shit myself," Dubstepp thought to himself. He eyed the other characters that weren't present on the last raid. One specific person caught his immediate attention. The individual was a marauder and took a great liking to the wolves -- well, specifically murdering them. His overall actions appeared insane or dangerous to others.

Dubstepp blinked a couple of times and glanced at his giant rabbit. He wanted to see if anyone else noticed what was occurring. The man simply smiled at one of the wolves as it chowed down on his hand. Scratching his own hand, Dubstepp couldn't help but imagine the pain. The musician questioned where the guys found this guy. Obviously, this man had some issues, big issues. "What a bad ass. Better my opponents than me," Dubstepp mumbled.

Dubstepp turned his attention back to his pet rabbit. Everything ran smoothly so Dubstepp wasn't on the edge. He was about to order Totoro to initiate another attack. His mouth opened but closed it as soon as Reylan spoke. Sighing, Dubstepp asked Totoro to come back next to him. As Totoro retreated to his master's side, Dubstepp crossed his arms. "Not sure if this I'm liking this Totes," Dubstepp mentioned.

He took a while and listened to Reylan speak regarding the wolves. After that, he saw Alisea and Reylan have a discreet conversation. Dubstepp assumed it might have regarded Paralyze. The musican nodded his head. He put his thumb up and made a gesture. "Did you get that, Totoro? Legion of the Wolf..." Dubstepp never knew the name of Reylan's supposed guild. He did not see the papers last night. "That's not a very..." The trainer stopped himself.

"Nevermind. Let's go on ahead, Totoro." The duo continued to walk toward area B.
