You're beginning to think that ricketty old bridge is cursed. This was supposed to be a simple recon mission, nothing more, and yet it's turned into something much, much worse.

You are the last line of defense between civilisation and the horrors that lurk in the deep and the dark. So, no pressure then.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. The Posse get there game faces on and, in the little time they have before the onslaught begins, talk tactics.

- For every 3 Monsters that escape the Mine - or every 1 Large Monster - the Darkness gets closer to winning. We must hold them off and break off the assault, then kill all remaining enemies.

- You no longer have a lantern, but the Bridge is well lit. All adjacent rooms are also lit. The only room in darkness? The Enemie's objective - the Mine Exit (Room A). If you start your turn in there, you will take Sanity Damage from Voices in the Dark.

- You can Scavenge an unlimited number of times here. That's something, at least.

- At the end of each turn, there is a 50% chance for more monsters to spawn at each entry point.

- Your desperate. Truly desperate. This is a really bad situation. If there are no monsters on your map tile, you may give up your attack to do one of the following - Scavenge, recover Determination, Catch your Breath or Ready a Once per Fight item.

- Dread triggers instantly.

Rolled: 2 + 2 = 4. Rolling double 2s will cause a negative event from the party.
Heroes may choose where they wish to Spawn on the Board.

@Mae Keep the 4. Also, you sure we can't toss the other two on this mission? Like I said, I do want them to come out of this alive.

@CollectorOfMyst Flabnoose is sitting one out. If a new player wished to use Trap, I wouldn't mind.

The other issue is, with 5-6 heroes Defend the Bridge goes from using Low Difficulty Threats spawning to High Difficulty Threats. So with more people on that mission it would become alot, alot harder.

As comparison, a 1-2 person mission uses High threat cards for their boss (whereas usually bigger groups use Epic threads for bosses)

Though if new players/characters joined now they would join the Defend the Bridge group.

@CollectorofMystAaron Goldfeld moves up and peers into the darkness as he makes conversation with Fear.


A Rail Tunnel

@PrinceAlexus Pastor Jimmy may redraw this Map Tile if he wishes.

It's unclear what's inside...

Aaron Goldfeld and Luciel can reveal what's in the room from squares A13/A14, or anyone who moves into the room will automatically make the discovery.


Pastor Jimmy cautiously checks over his rifle, satisfied with the knowledge that no matter what is out there... he has the ammo to deal with it.

@Majoras End Luciel strides over to the front lines.

@Duskshine749 Fear moves up. He talks with Aaron as he searches through the dust and dirt, determined to find something.

What he does find unsettles him. He hastily covers the mauled skeleton back up with the dirt, taking 4 Sanity damage as he does so. He gains 10 XP!

>SCAVENGE: Each map tile can only be scavenged once total. This means if another party member has scavenged the tile you are on, it cannot be scavenged again. Scavenging successfully can yield up to three results. If you scavenge, you cannot explore the mine this round.
>EXPLORE THE MINE: At the end of each map tile is an arrow. When standing on this arrow, you may explore into the next room, if you have not done another action this turn. You will immediately see the layout of the next room. If you explore, at the end of the round, a discovery will be revealed... aka what is in that room.
Note: The "arrow" map tiles count effects from both rooms.

If you start at the Mine Entrance, you'll be taking Sanity damage on your first turn as that room is in the dark.

@duskshine749 As a Bandito you regain Determination when you roll a 1 or 2 for your movement. So 30%ish of the time.

There are a few events and items that do it as well.
