If you wouldn't mind, @ me in the OOC. I'm interested but don't have the time to put up a character today.

Of course we didn't see this coming, even after a year of travelling through the continent. We were too busy killing the juvenile white dragon in the Hoarfrost mountains, too busy preventing Kriv's attempts at acquiring Vecna's Eye, too busy destroying that abyssal flute of some eldritch being. I didn't expect my former clan to wage war with all of the other clans in Darguun against Zilargo and Breland. We didn't expect to lose our companion.

I didn't expect for us to be a problem.

So I'm a really into D&D. I DM a weekly offline game and play in an online campaign. But I'm not here to talk about that, I'm here to talk about a story idea I had for an RP plot.

Rules/Expectations:

  • This is an 18+ roleplay as it includes violent themes, racist ideals (in a fantasy setting), and will more than likely have heavy language. I expect that anyone who would apply or message me is 18+ and also okay with the themes that will present themselves.
  • I do not expect novels to be written with every post, especially if this is a 1x1. I do however expect that the quality of writing is of a High Casual to Advanced level. No one liners, but shorter posts (2+ paragraphs) are encouraged during dialogue heavy interactions.
  • I will not always be able to post every day, and I don't expect anyone else to either. Life happens. I'm only recently getting back on after a 4 month hiatus due to close family illness, so if something happens and you disappear, I don't mind.

I'm looking for a partner, or a small group, to play as the party with myself. The story is about the party having to defend their Dragonborn companion, who is being ridiculed no matter where they go, from being treated like a second class member of their party. This RP would start approximately a month after the war has been declared between the Dragonborn kingdom of Darguun and the neighboring kingdoms, both run by Humans, but are populated by all races. Dragonborn all around the central part of the continent are now being distrusted or attacked due to the war's blatant cause being Dragonborn and their natural greed. Anti-Dragonborn rhetoric is now actually gaining a foothold due to these events, and some rural areas are actually murdering the Dragonborn families that reside there.

For the main two characters if this is a 1x1, I would be playing the Dragonborn male and I'm looking for someone to play a Human/Half-Elf/Elf female. These two would have been with the party since its first adventure, even if the other members are not the original companions they'd started out with. Seeing as they've both had to save one another from extreme dangers, possibly even pulling each other right out of death's grasp, the two would be close; and possibly already interested in one another romantically.

So if I managed to find enough people to play as the party, then I would possibly be putting up a thread in the Advanced forum, but otherwise if someone is interested in playing as the Human/Half-elf/Elf love interest/party member and sharing the party with me just PM me or reply here with any questions you have.

Edit: Kind of forgot to put in rules/expectations, it has been updated.
I'm here, just waiting really.
So uh, whats going on everyone?
@Lugia

IC : Ade (@Alexfangtalon's character) was a stowaway, @dabombjk's character was inviting her, @Bright_Ops's character was saying she shouldn't have been there in the first place. Argument takes place if she should be allowed to stay. Cael popped in suggesting trial by combat (because mercenary background wouldn't really give him knowledge of other means to prove oneself). That's where we are now.

OOC: Someone suggested staying on the island to train but the mission is time sensitive so we're discussing how that will work.
Okay, okay... I haven't posted all day, and all of this comes up... what's going on?

Are you talking about in character or talking about the training stuff?

Your right thank you for pointing that out I forgot about the time factor. Well we originally planned on staying on the island for two days or so I believe so @heckno12 and I will discuss it tonight. But your right that speed is a factor and team building is something that makes things harder. It is just a scouting mission.

After the initial mission is done we can worry about training and etc. For the trial maybe even just a day because the original plan was to be there for two days. And I was under the impression that she'd been taking food so wouldn't be that malnourished. Plus with her background in the bandit camp she may just opt for it.

I like the idea that someone suggested they want to do. So while everyone is here on the island someone is going to suggest staying on the island and training. If we want we can do a huge ass collab for the training to speed it along or we can do it post by post here. If we do it post by post I hope everyone will make an effort to make at least one reply per day depending on how long it takes to get through the team training stuff. If we do it I and heckno12 will be the ones who design the training stuff and our characters will lead it. I am not saying that i will make our characters lead on everything, but they will just this once.

In this case I'd have to say Cael would be against it. Because of this being a scouting mission at its core, he'd believe time and speed to be their two most important factors in completing the job. After they figure out exactly what they're up against I could see them doing it though.
@dabombjk@Heckno12

Let me know if you guys want me to change that up at all

Cael had been spending a good portion of his time out in the city, looking for possible places to eat while in town. He had a fascination with foreign foods and was curious if anything here was particularly different than in New Capita. He'd found some small vendors selling smoked fish in the streets and he purchased some on a whim. He knew that Markus would be looking for ingredients as well, so he tried to find fresh vegetables and fruits for the man to use. The Myrmidon also purchased some ginger and tea leaves to help ease his minor seasickness. On his way back into the port Cael ran into Li, one of his companions that he'd gotten to know a little about during their trip.

After speaking briefly to Li, Cael noticed the raised voices on the ship. He could hear something about a democracy before he heard Artyom yell at the Archer. Cael groaned, shifting the box of supplies he'd had in his hands. "Seriously?" He asked as he stepped onto the deck. "What in the name of hell are you two fighting about? We're not even halfway into this trip and people are already screaming." The young man's voice came out annoyed as he placed the box down, before noticing the new face.

"Stowaway, huh? I'm assuming she's trying to join us."

Cael's eyes glanced around. Most, if not all, of the party was at least within earshot. "Trial by combat." The words passed through his lips with practiced ease. Looking to Artyom, he nodded. "Surely that will tell you if she is worth the rations. You're a capable warrior and we have a Cleric on hand." He'd been tested in the same way before, it was a fair way to see if someone was worth keeping around. Looking around, Cael looked to the Archer. "Unless you have a better idea that would also tell us if she's worth keeping around. This is only a scouting operation, but that doesn't mean we need weak links. We could be attacked by pirates on the way there, or noticed by the enemy before we're even ashore."
