Lorelai

The Abyssal Knight roused from her self-destructive ruminations by the tug on her arm, resulting in Lorelai being figuratively and literally dragged into reality in pursuit of the abducting slime. It was a struggle to get her feet under her against the harshness of Solanne's pulling, but it was what she needed to ground herself once again and begin running of her own volition after the vulgarity spewing beastkin.

"So stupid of me. This isn't a thrice damned puzzle to get frustrated over, and I'm not the only hurt here either." Lorelai scolded herself in a more reasonable manner, dispelling her worries with a wild shake of her hair. Slimes were rarely fast eaters, so by all accounts there should be time left to liberate Eleonor before any lasting harm is done, if they could only find her, that is.

Luckily for the party, they had happened upon a very adept tracker keenly suited for this kind of work.

"Forget the exit, we are going after Eleonor if I have to collapse this entire damn sewer to do it!" Lorelai barked over the rattle of her greaves slamming into the sewer's stone work with each frenzied step in Ruxen's wake. Vaguely, she could tell that the outsiders who had crashed into the church were trying to ask something of them, though the odds of Lorelai responding with anything intelligible during her dash were Nil.

Yet while they still struggled to pursue, Eleonor had already been ferried to her destination.

From within the confines of the corrosive slime she would have a poor sense of direction through the viscous mass and murky waters, and shock absorbing nature made every bend and turn nearly imperceptible if she were not focusing with all her wits for the subtle shifts in the slime's body. The exception to this came in the form of a long, steep decline in elevation where the slime rocketed down the channel and into a central cavern that had a startling degree of clarity with it form methodically placed lights in the walls and ceiling.

It was a circular chamber 200 meters in diameter with a vaulted ceiling some 20 feet above, and five arched tunnels, each being no taller then 8 feet but 3 times that in width, leading into it like the points of a pentagon, including that of the one she arrived in. Along the walls were stone walkways, with bridges going over the tunnel's mouths to allow one the luxury of walking the circumference of the room without needing to leap over the rancid water. Across the room from where Eleonor entered was a stretch of wall with a square indentation in the wall and the unmistakable box shape of a lift waiting at the bottom with boundless lengths of chain shooting up past the ceiling to lift its occupants to parts unknown among the surface, but that was little more then a pipe dream if Eleonor was even able to perceive it.

The dominant feature of this room- No, the entire sewer system, was what lay in the center of the room. What came about from the five currents of sewage and slime converging together was a massive whirlpool dominating the majority of the space there, some 180 meters of the room roiling in a downwards spiral that would crush any poor soul caught without sooner then it would drown them.

This didn't pertain to the slime, however, as the very moment it entered the room, it banked hard to the left and dragged the Crimson Knight onto the stone walkway, averting a swift end beneath countless tons of sewage. It spat her out without a care for decorum and not a gesture in parting before it flung itself back into the waters and slid into the current to resume its duties. If it had left her alone, Eleonor would have only been confronted with a hearty jog around a room twice as large as an Olympic running track, but fate was a cruel mistress to the Luxonne family, and was liable to heap misery upon misery whenever the opportunity struck.

So it was that Eleonor, no doubt coughing and sputtering from ingesting slime in her commute, would find soft, delicate, and cold hands reach down to cup her cheeks with angelic tenderness. They were wet to the touch, much the same as Eleonor was, and gently beckoned for the Knight to look upon a familiar face. A countenance many a church goer was familiar with, which now oozed a tan slime from her eyes, ears, and lips while a vibrant red light shone through her soaked robes to dance upon Eleonor's features.

"O' my faithless friend. It was not long ago I had been saving the souls of Deva's people, yet now I seem to have been given a new calling." The robed woman spoke, her voice as crystal clear as it was before even with the slime pouring from her lips. "This work is rather important, gross as it may be, and I do believe it has put me in a most blessed position to save you from yourself, Elly."

@KoL@TheWindel@McFazzer
Will try to post over the weekend.
Will post today or tommorow
Looks like the Curse of Dangeki strikes again.
And just as I put in Extella, we get a post from our lovely Fate RP. Coincidence or conspiracy, who can say?
Miyu would betray herself? Fascinating.

Though I imagine Hoho will quickly realize the folly of having Miyu reside in her castle and release her after all her academic research goes up in flames.
@The 42nd Gecko@TheWindel

If you listen closely, you can hear Revolver Ocelot cry tears of joy over his Angelic daughter's accomplishments.......now I feel Miyu needs to develop a torture fetish. She's already stolen the Machina culture and weaponry, so no need to go for the cowboy appeal......though Omega is ripe for the stripping and looting....
Alrighty then. KoL being the engineer and math-Neet here, I'll leave that to her and Gecko to hammer down.

Prediction: Everyone has a 100% dodge rate in regards to this explosion if it occurs.

So if everyone either doesn't leave the lobby through the front door, be one of the 3 who can make it up an Elevator, or find a way to remove the Daimyo from the equation, everyone in the lobby is dead.

IE, it appears you all have 1 post to save your hides from being vaporized. Since I don't think Henry wants to throw it into his gates and vaporize a large chunk of his horde, and Balrog seems a bit too busy to really throw the wreck outside into the void, I wish you luck in that affair. I'll post when I muster the energy, or watch all of Kabeneri of the Iron Fortress on Amazon. Whichever is quicker.
Deva doesn't need to show up. All she has to do is send Juno to 'Help' you on your mission, and everyone gets pancaked beneath 10x the gravity of Jupiter by accident.
