I'm probably not going to post anytime soon so skip me for this post cycle.
Will post tomorrow.
@Flamelord@Lucius Cypher

Once is coincidence, twice is happenstance, but three times is enemy action, and suffice it to say I am compelled to speak up when my sense for pattern recognition kicks in.

You two know full well this has been as War of the Three has for some time. GMs need to both meet the RPers expectations of a swift posting speed while having enough detail to work with in the process, and the faster they need it, the less detail that gets packed in. Adding to this issue is past attempts to provide ultra detailed posts only for them to ignored outright. A lot of effort went into trying to detail the Elicitor and Sea of Ruthria battles but all those efforts were by and large wasted, and let's not even get into Alt Signia for that matter.

Lucius, you claim Grafdakka is a tank meant to endure all sorts of punishment and shrug them off without a care only to be bludgeoned with a nerf bat for ignoring other people's posts. You can be a tank who no sells attacks, but much like your recurring issues in DGO, you struggled to acknowledge attacks of any value were even happening in the first place.

Flame, I do admit the details you desire would be helpful if there was even the slightest inkling left that people would acknowledge it in an equivalent fashion, but as we've all seen this battle didn't have the most organized start- What with Greg teleporting straight to Eos, Artoria portalling to the reactor room, etc- and it's been a hell of a time keeping things running as is. You're passive aggressive attitude isn't going to help things here, and even more so considering recent history.

This RP has frequent issues, and those issues are addressed as often as possible by people who have lives outside of RPing, and it's with the best intentions we amend what doesn't work and add on what we hope will work. Will this RP ever run perfectly? No. But it can grow given time, and every new challenge overcome leads to new balances that will hopefully improve the RP as a whole just as the RPers all work to benefit their characters by exploiting the paradigm. Just from this battle alone we'll be establishing firm counters to portalling/teleports and probably making the starting placemenet of PCs more orderly in the future battles.

I'm not telling either of you to just 'Sit down and shut up', but if all you have to your names is a track record of burning RPs to the ground, then I suggest you kindly refrain from trying to bang your rocks together inside our ramshackle tree house just to make yourselves heard.

@KoL

Which is really paradoxical given the Machina gain all their power from Eos. Weird.

Grafdakka could survive the impact. At the very least, it wouldn't harm Endian. With the mental image I have, Anata is currently clinging to the "front" of Grafdakka, holding on tight to his arm. Endian will be leaving via drilling out of the back, so Anata has to get through or around Grafdakka to get to Endian. And that's assuming Anata isn't also squished when Grafdakka splats into the dirt.

<Snipped quote>

He might've been. Still, Endian knows where to go.

<Snipped quote>

Oh no, Grafdakka isn't going to explode as soon as Endian reaches the surface. He's going to explode as soon as Endian starts digging, as in pretty much shortly after Endian bursts out of Grafdakka. That's why Endian needs Eos defense booster: Endian is pretty much at ground zero of the Grafdakka bomb with Anata.

Frankly I can't fathom how Endian, buffed or not, could survive a Grafdakka detonation in an enclosed space that would only intensify the force of the blast with only a two second headstart to her escape, but debating things here won't change events.

Post as you like. I'll react accordingly.
@Lonewolf685

With that cleared up Grafdakka doesn't nessiarily need to keep her pinned so much as prevent her from stopping Endian from escaping, which I hope would be easy since there's a giant mech between where Anata is and where Endian is going (Grafdakka had been digging straight down so his drill/arms are pointing dowards, and Endian is going straight up).

As for the other arms Grafdakka can simply stop his big drill configuration and just revert back to six chainsaw form, and then slice or otherwise tear his arm off. He's a giant mech, he doesn't mind.

Well feel free to stop trying to drill, though that means he has to stop his thrusters to avoid splattering himself into the rock or toast Endian in her escape. Also you just mentioned how cramped the tunnel was so we'll have to see how effectively he can use six arms to slash at his own drill arm, let alone Ananta.

Let's see how well that goes for Endian when she leaves her armored carapace into a dark tunnel with a serpent ready to strike.

Also wasn't he drilling at any angle, not straight down?

As for Endian she's far more agile than Grafdakka even with full thrusters, so being fast enough shouldn't be a problem. She can also use her hard light creation to create her own drill to dig out, and while it's not the same reality warping calamity weapon as Grafdakka, it's more than enough to dig her out of the hole she's in. I don't expect for Endian to make back to the surface quickly, mind you, since she does have a few miles of dirt to tunnel through. What she needs Eos's defense booster for us to survive the explosion when Grafdakka self destructs, which will be about two seconds after Endian breaks through the dirt and start going upwards, otherwise the self destruct alone would've killed her even if she did somehow get a head start drilling.

I should also bring up that while Grafdakka's self destruction is powerful enough to incinerate him and anyone near him, it's not the same nuclear blast as the previous versions had since his nuclear reactor had been removed to accommodate piloting space.

Considering Graf had done all of this digging with a reality destroying drill scaled for a colossal Mecha, Endian would have to do the same course with hardlight constructs on a tunnel that resealed itself in Grafdakka's passing and has increased to disastrous temperatures on top of it.

Sure, that's a hazard for the both of them, though considering how long such an upwards ascent would take and Graf is left at the bottom to self destruct only after Endian surfaces...Weeeeeelll, you can see how this plan doesn't seem to hold a lot of water unless you wanted to be in a pitch darkness with a very cross snake.
Guess that means

Yeah I'm kinda still confused about just how big Anata is. Is she just coiled around one of Grafdakka's arms (in which remember, this version has six of them) or his entire body? If it's his entire body than I don't know how Anaya is avoiding the exhaust from his thrusters, because Grafdakka has thrusters over multiple parts of his body. He in fact catches on fire when he uses his thrusters to the fullest like right now, if only due to the sheer output of heat coming from his thrusters. Not only that but they're in a very tight tunnel that is in fact collapsing around them, with no ventilation for heat to escape as he fries the air around him. I dunno about angels, but it's very hard to breath down there.

I do plan to try to have Grafdakka pin Anata's body against the rock and have Endian escape from the otherside via drilling from the inside ouy. Endian is timing her escape to just a second before Grafdakka self-destructs, relying on Eos's buff to survive the shockwave and make it back to the surface.

I don't recall him having six arms, but that's my bad.

As for Ananta:

She put aside her plans for infiltration and formed her trio of ethereal arms, though amidst the five total limbs were not weapons but a bevy of more Ofuda. She'd only used five to seal the Swarm's attack but with her full efforts being put to the task she would have no issue in entombing the colassal limb she clung upon in paper seals. Such a barrier was formed the infinitesimal sides blurred as though a perfect cylinder from shoulder joint to just before the cosmic drill, forcing Grafdakka's arm to remain steadfastly straight on it's downward path while the serpent shielded herself from heat and debris in the barrier.

In this instance Ananta is only around the one arm with the cosmic, reality altering drill and has immobilized it at the joint in an effort to keep Graf from changing direction on their descent. The barrier she formed around the arm keeps it in place as well as shielding her within it from the heat. Considering she is directly behind the drill then debris is though to be less of an issue, or at least i thought it was.

Perhaps the misunderstanding was made that Ananta was restraining Graf with the brute force of her coils, but what is actually happening is her clinging to the arm within the confines of her barrier.

As for your plan, well air is an issue as while she may have secured a small pocket herself, it would turn into a problem if she was left there for a few minutes.

How would Graffdakka pin her to the wall? The whole point of her barrier was to immobilize a single limb, forcing him to either stop drilling to confront her and thus leave him open to retaliation or to continue drilling in the hopes of shaking her off before they bust through the bottom of the Nexus and fall into oblivion. Just wondering how Graf would go about trying to pin her...I mean, Graf could possibly have some system to detach the drill arm, but then I have to ask:

Does Grafdakka have spare drill arms?

If Endian hopes to eject and escape to the surface before the self destruct, wouldn't she have to have both a drill and thruster comparable to Grafdakka in her body to do this?

Her efforts to escape to the surface would also be even harder since she'd tunnelled down with the boost of Eos' first song, which since it has changed to a defensive buff, would leave her with an even harder time to escape.
@Lucius Cypher

Being a serpent and thus cold blooded, her resistence is rather poor in the long term without a means to regulate the heat or extreme. Short term, however, snakes are real good with high heat.

And considering she is literally coiled around Grafdakka in preparation to strike at the opportune moment, her reaction time will be quiet good.
@The 42nd Gecko

Could you refresh my memory as to when she did it at range before? I'd had thought she needed physical contact given all the times she tackles people to transform them, IE Mephilia, Ira, and Henry, but I could be mis-remembering if you can point to a post.
@The 42nd Gecko@KoL

And as far as i know Artoria has no powers of omniceanse. She could only initiate the attack using cameras hacked on her phone or whatever, so she shouldn't even be aware her plan was countered to such a thorough extent.
