Alright guys, I apologize again for the slow progress. I'm trying to meet a deadline for a technical report and it's kicking my butt. If I don't manage to get something up over the next couple days I will definitely just take some time to hammer out a post for you all.

Apologies, I have a lot on my plate at the moment. Worst case scenario, I'll have to give up on the collab. It was meant to have Priya suspended for a number of reasons including interference with an ongoing investigation, over stepping her jurisdiction, collaborating with a vigilante and aiding and abetting known criminals.

Basically the repercussions of a cold case detective telling special ops what to do, letting hookers go scotch free and just generally being where she shouldn't since she's cold case not homicide or special ops.

I've got a present for everyone. Working on an IC update currently, there will be an advancement in the main plot but if that's not your cup of tea here's the next batch of subplots to be thinking over.

◼ DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN:

Having escaped capture at the hands of Joseph Thoreau and Vernon Thompson, the accused arsonist, 'Nina' remains at large. As a result of her actions, the Michaels Nuclear Power Plant was compromised and has been taken off line until the damage can be repaired. At this time, a blackout has rolled over the Northern and Eastern sections of Crescent City, plunging them into darkness without heat or hydro. From Pointe Bordeaux, to Shasta Bay, up through New Lilith to Jethrull, the city is in darkness with strain on generators and outside power sources keeping the South West region active.

◼ THIS IS WAR

The Familia Fierros are preparing for war against the De Vitis Crime Syndicate. As Raul De Vitis’ number one enforcer, the Russian was allowed to escape with Dante Del Fierro in toe, Francesca Del Fierro has put a hit on not only the Russian’s head but also that Raul De Vitis’ daughter Veronica. In an effort to capitalize on the hostility, the Welcome Crime and Third Street Roughnecks have aligned themselves with the organized crime families, gaining access to the arms they desire after watching their brothers cut down in cold blood by an unknown woman.

Something is feeding off the people of Larissa. Over the past week, several victims have been found completely drain of blood, their throats ripped out. No one wants to voice the first thing that comes to mind, but the whispers at the crime scenes tell the same tale. Many believe a vampire has come to make its home in Larissa although the police refuse to take these claims seriously. One man is said to have survived the attack, however the attack has rendered him mute, or at least unwilling to speak. The man now resides in the Murdoch Mental Hospital while the rumors continue to swirl and at the very least a killer is still at large.

Time travel is real, and all of history is vulnerable to attack. But one group travels throughout time to stop the spread of these so-called 'Time Aberrations' and erase their damage to history. A group of outcasts and misfits, they are no longer saving the world. they are saving history. But these individuals aren't heroes, they're something else.

Pandora’s box; an object that exists outside of time and space, capable of allowing true evil to enter Earth’s realm. If opened, unimaginable horrors of unknown quantities and capacities will enter the world, enslaving it, bringing it to its knees before turning it completely to ash. In the year 2268, the timeline was altered and someone opened Pandora’s Box.

Sensing the change in the timeline, a being from outside of time itself, the android assistent to the New God Metron, the Hourman of the 853rd Century, reached out to a rogue by the name of Matthew Ryder. A time traveler, Ryder and his crew took the fight through time but were sorely defeated with only Ryder escaping before his ship, the Waverider, crash landed in the 21st Century.

With his reality now gone, Captain Ryder and his timeship, the Waverider recruited a new team. This team couldn’t just be anyone however, even with the prime choices available in the Golden Age of Heroes. Contacting the Justice League or even the Teen Titans would have been the most logical choice, but Ryder knew the roles of each and every member and the parts they had to play in the still unfolding present.

Instead, this team had to be made up of individuals with no notable bearing on the timeline. Assembling a crew of outcasts and misfits from throughout time to combat the impending doom, Ryder tasked the crew with what seemed like the impossible, revert the timeline and stop Pandora’s Box from being opened. Although these recruits are had no effect on the world in their own times, if they manage to help Ryder, they’ll be more than heroes.

DO I NEED TO HAVE WATCHED THE SHOW?

Absolutely not, I've made several deviations from the show's premise and this RP is more a case of inspired by rather than straight up based on.

WILL BE PLAYING ORIGINAL CHARACTERS OR CANONS?

I'd be okay with either, although when it comes to canons it has to be like third stringers, you can't play Robin or even say Jaime Reyes. Keep in mind, characters are recruited from across the timeline (timeline, not multiverse), so future and past characters are also possible. Original Characters can be completely original, they could be a new mantle bearer or they could be based on a literary hero like say Robin Hood or Zorro.

WHAT ARE THE POSTING REQUIREMENTS?

I'd like to have a minimum requirement of a paragraph and at least one post per week. Ideally, I'd like to keep the pace pretty steady so that the RP keeps momentum but I do realize that there are always complications to this.

◼ WEEK 04: As the first round of secondary plots are coming to an end, let's discuss antagonists. So far there hasn't been anything too serious in the RP but what are your thoughts on antagonists? What makes a good villain for you? Do you like them unhinged, do you like them cold and calculating? Do you prefer an NPC villain or one who is directly portrayed by another player? What's good about being bad?
