Reluctantly retired roleplayer.

Except when I'm not.

Why are you here when you should be writing posts?

You can edit a bad draft, but you cannot edit a blank page.

For reference:

(useless if you don't care... just forming a gate, could rp it, but one of the nexus laws is not to change the composition of an rp)

Whatever the gate was, it seemed useless to you presently. If you were to scan it, you would notice that the energy levels are past even transcendence, but presently, it was closed. Only the main character in this land could awaken it, but he would have to be in the randomly chosen location of this portal. Even then, it would only open to the nexus rp with those beings.

But due to the way the nexus would work... those beings capabilities would be defined not by the rules, but by their own nexus energy source.
Would he open the gate? Or was this OOC useless... either way, it was formed, either a useless portal for most, or, unknown to them, a potential risk.

The portal that started it all.

Neither are you, apparently.

TMW you haven't posted in a week but you really like verbally sparring with Byrd...

Do you guys prefer milk, dark, or white chocolate?

Dark for me, please.
There's no need to guess. You've already told us it's RDR2.
I'm gonna ask a Sep question that I know most of you motherfuckers are gonna answer because it's about how you write. And some of you seem to love doing that more than actually fucking writing your posts.

What creator or piece of media directly influences your stories and characterizations for this game?

The answer doesn't have to be comic book related, but who or what do you draw the most inspiration from when you're writing? Is it a TV show, a certain writer's run on a comic book, maybe a movie or book series? What of the previously mentioned things influences you the most when you sit down to actually write?

Brian Jacques and Timothy Zahn are definitely huge influences for my writing. To a lesser extent I would also attribute some of it to J.K. Rowling, Tolkien and Kevin J. Anderson.

However I also draw on movies and television with a lot of my arcs starting with my version of a 'Cold Open'. Crime dramas in particular favour this approach. Smallville, Star Trek, Veronica Mars, the Arrowverse, Grimm, Angel and Firefly all heavily influence the way I write my stories and build my worlds.

Obviously as mentioned above, Star Wars also plays a part in my inspiration and for this character in particular and a lot of other recent superhero jaunts, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a big source of inspiration.

I'm sure there's plenty more I can think of but off the top of my head there it is.
Sorry for the hold up on my end! Been a busy couple days. I've got my post started, though, and it's looking like I'll finally have time tonight. :D

No worries, I've been pushing my own post off a little so I can sum up the scene and move forward so I will wait for you and Roman.
@Hillan Hey, I righted that wrong!
Forgot to do this yesterday, but here you guys go.

◼ W E E K 0 0 3: If your character was to get 'Freaky Friday'd in the IC, which other character would you want to end up body swapped with? What is your reasoning?

A bit lighter hearted this week, let's have some fun with this question.
