Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

"Aye aye captain." Tayang nods to you and looks to his crew. "You heard the captain! Weigh anchor, hoist the sails, we're shoving off!" The crew would get to work. They would be able to get the ship out of the port in twenty minutes. In those twenty minutes you'd find out of two locations where one could plunder holy water: there was an abandoned temple to the south shooting past the shipwreck, and a small fishing hamlet to the north. The abandoned temple used to also serve as a lighthouse, but as one can imagine such a remote location away from the securities of a town meant that one day, it's clergy was attacked and killed. It hasn't been in operation for many years. Could be filled with bandits, or wild animals, or some monster. But there's also a good chance that there's holy water there since being so close to the sea, they likely have a blessed well. So long as it hasn't be dried up you could draw holy water from it easily. The fishing hamlet would certainly have the holy water, and was far away enough from Red Shard that the most you'd have to worry about is perhaps the hamlet militia. There was also a temple there, and frankly the temple was likely the only major land mark in said hamlet; it's otherwise a small time fishing village.

By the time the Kraken would be ready to leave, you were close enough you could see the fleet were Doros Merchant ships. They were excellent targets for larger, more powerful pirate crews. Most Doro ships were massive wooden freighters, ships designed for maximum cargo hold. While stable and had a vast amount of cargo, they lacked personal defenses; rarely would they have cannons when they can fit more cargo, and even their armor was only good against rough weathers and not weapons of war. However like any Doros merchant fleet, it was guarded by at least three Frigates. Compared to the Kraken, the Frigates were bonefide warships; fast, extremely maneuverable, and had a full broadside of cannons to rip apart any ship that would tread too close to their caravan. While relatively low in armor, what they lack in sturdiness they make up for in speed, a common design philosophy in Doros boats. Still, it was unusual to see so many together. More so since it seemed to be a lone freighter being protected by seven Frigates. They were still a fair bit of ways away, but they were certainly heading to Red Shard.
About thirty. And those flasks are mostly meant to be used to burn the deck of an opposing ship. A whole barrel would be worth about 10 GP, which is the price for the oil and barrel.
@Expolar

Sorry, forgot to mention since it was flavor text, but Orchid burns her Action Surge to do a dash. 30 movement, 30 aggressive, 30 dash action surge, than booming blade with a glaive (So +10 reach) so reach 100 feet.

So 100ft and an attack all in about six seconds.

Malakaus Vorinclex
Healthy | Angeli Pallidus Guild | Getting his cloak

Malakaus stood quiet, stoic, as more and more people gathered. However there was a moment where his attention shifted away from the guild leaders. And it was when a particular elf appeared. Malakaus could not help himself; a small gasp left his breath. "Drautran..." She was still as beautiful as he last saw her. Malakaus turned his head to look at her, but soon turned his attention back to the guild master. He already knew that past was behind him. There was no going back to it now. He needed to focus on the path ahead of him. The guild master directed everyone to a different mage making cloaks. Their uniforms apparently. Malakaus was one of the first to approach the crafter. "Warrior." Once he would receive his cloak, Malakaus would go back to standing where he was before. Though he noticed one of the newcomers just stabbed his sword into the ground. Though his expression was hidden behind his mask, Malakaus felt disgusted seeing how crude his weapon was. Nothing more than a stone hewed into the shape of a sword. It reminded him of children who thought a sharpen rock was a keen blade. He didn't say anything to the stranger who did the damage, but he did turn to the elven guildmaster.

"I can fix that. For a price."

Nox Nyctores "Barrel"
Healthy | Angeli Pallidus Guild | Getting his cloak

After hunting down someone's breakfast, Nox was pretty full. He now had the energy to go about the rest of his day, which mainly involved finding a high spot to lounge, flirting with some of the local women, and maybe shooting at some birds with his magic. It was honestly such a grind for the young cat, and he wished there was more he could do with himself. Which of course reminded him that his current caretaker was joining up some guild. A Monster Hunting Guild. Nox hadn't really fought against monsters in a while, but if this guild was new he doubt they'll be going after anything too big. It was a good time as any to try and knock some rust off his claws. So the little cat jumped off a rooftop, safely landing on the pavement below and made his way over to the guildhall. There he could see a bunch of people gathered up and getting cloaks. He also saw his current caretaker, but he was fortunately distracted. So just to preserve the secret, Nox would trot over to the mage making cloaks. He wouldn't mind having a cloak himself. Seeing the options, he went and put a paw on the mage symbol. Hopefully they would have cloaks his size.
I am always ready to rustle your leaves, my Irish.
Opening the door allowed Sticky to come in. Noticing your sluggish movements, he helped you get away from the room, dragging you a safe distance away. The further you were from the strange glowing light, the more your senses returned. It was painful at first, your vision become blindingly bright and all the noises of the ship felt too loud for you, but this would pass after a few moments. Eventually you'd be able to actually hear Sticky talking to you. "Caeda, Caeda you aight? Yer hurt! We gotta get ya to Buggsy, and tell da captin and dem dat dere's sum weirdness goin on in da cargo hull!"
The group once more approached the group of children plus John. Upon closer examination, they appeared to be playing some sort of game. You could see small marbles being rolled down the hill in a narrow channel that looks like it was dug by hand. They were basically racing marbles. There were seven young boys, two girls, and than John himself. As the group approached the children took notice and seemed a bit apprehensive. They stopped playing and crowded around John who looked at the group. Now that you were closer you could tell that he was genuinely rather ugly; his proportions were odd, he had a thick neck to the point that it looked like his head was attached to his shoulders, and his hair seemed wild; curly on one side but stringy on the other. He also had scars on his hands and some rather suspect looking boils and acne on his face too. "Who you?" His voice was surprisingly light though, like a child.

Pylia gulped. "Johnathan. Do you remember me? I'm Pylia. From the orphanage." You could hear it in Pylia's voice; doubt was creeping up her throat. John just looked confused and shook his head. "Don't know..." The children seemed scared. However that's when Buddy stepped forward, and for some reason started dancing. He... Actually was really good. The sight of such a bulky looking robot knight dancing and playing music from his body (You could safely assume that it was thanks to Shortfang in his backpack), amazed the children. The children were in awe and seemed to visibly be less stressed. More importantly, Pylia herself seemed less tense as well. She looked to John and spoke again. She held her hair together with her hands, emulating pigtails. "Remember Piggy Pylia? That was me!" John looked at her dumbly before smiling and nodding. "Oh. Oh! Okay! Piggy Pylia!"

Buddy would entertain the children with his dancing, getting the kids to join him. This would allow you and Pylia to speak to John who seemed to vaguely remember Pylia. She looked to you and spoke quietly. "John has... He was born like this. Strange in the head, but bigger than any of us children. He was as strong as a man even as a boy, but his mind never matured. As kids my friends and I would try and take care of him back at the orphanage. We were surprised though when he was adopted before we were. All I knew was that he was adopted by a stone mason, and at the time, I thought they just wanted John to use him for his strength. We thought he was was too naive to know better but... He seems happy, right?"

"Hmm... Two three... Five seven... If I had to say, about nine miles off. Given the winds and tide they'll be here in an hour or so." Nyx said as the group continued onward. The group would arrive back to Red Shard before the ships would arrive, but by the time you'd reach the Kraken even you could see the fleet on the horizon. They were quite big indeed; it's doubtful there was enough space in the port to anchor all of them. And yet they were still coming. Meanwhile on the Kraken itself you could hear Tayang whipping your men into shape. You could tell that they had brought some new weapons, heavy crossbows, and Tayang was training each one of them to be tougher and faster. At the moment he was training Kulee, attacking him with a flurry of axe swings while Kulee was trying to adapt to using his new anchor maul. "Don't be a coward! Fightin with a maul ain't like a sword, you gotta commit! If your afraid of taking a hit than stick to a bowgun!"

Tayang's taunting managed to get Kulee to go on the offensive, pushing Tayang back a bit before he struck Kulee's knee and brought his axe to the goliath's neck. However the dwarf stopped short of actually hitting him. "But don't get reckless neither. Trust yer armor to take the hit so you can attack without flinching each time I take a swing at you. Go take a breather. Derrick!" Just as Tayang called up Derrick he would notice the group and raise his hand to stop Derrick. "Aye captain, welcome back. I see that everyone is still alive. Find out anything interesting?"
The sea monster lunged out at you as you attacked, it's poisonous quills shooting out in your direction. But the radiant energy from your gauntlet surged through the rapier, and in a flash of light, your blade struck true. First you saw the blade go right through the monster's face, penetrating where it's nose would be and coming out the back of it's skull. But that wasn't all: the light that went from your gauntlet moved through the blade, and then moved into the skull of the sea creature. You could see light pour out from the monster's eyes, gills, mouth, and the wound as it's head exploded, leaving behind a headless corpse. And just like that the battle was over.

"Caeda! Let me in!" You could hear Sticky shouting from behind the door as he tries to force it open. But there was still another matter to address, and it wasn't just the corpse. The longer you stayed here the more your mind began to wander. Your vision started to get dizzy. Everything began to blur into a single image, and all you could really make out was the bright light from the strange pulsating sack in the room. You could barely even hear Sticky trying to open the door. You had a feint few seconds of consciousness before something strange would occur. What would you do?
