Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Once everyone was gathered into the room, Volo sat at the head of the long table. Drinks were served, beer from the Yawning Portal's own taps. "Allow me to formally introduce myself, I am Volothamp Geddarm, chronicler, wizard, and celebrity, at your service. I trust you've noted the violence in our fair city these past tendays. I haven't seen so much blood since my last visit to Baldur's Gate! But now I fear I have mis-placed a friend amid this odious malevolence." Volo clasped his hands together, his jovial appearance taking on a slightly more somber look. "My friend's name is Floon Blagmaar. He's got more beauty than brains, and I worry he took a bad way home a couple nights ago and was kidnapped - Or worse. If you agree to track him down with all due haste, I can offer you ten dragons apiece now, and I can give you each ten times that when you find Floon. May I prevail upon you in my hour of need?" Volothamp looked at the party assembled before him.
Not exactly? It's possible, but most of the time no one really knows what constitutes having a soul in the first place. And even if they didn't, how would one go about figuring that out? There isn't exactly a spell called "Find Soul" or anything like that. Strictly speaking you're a human without a soul, you still ping as human for the purpose of stuff like hold person, charm person, etc.

Now having your soul removed, possibly at birth, in and of itself is not unheard of for those wise in the way of magics. Anyone who consorts with the likes of fey or demons would know that this is entirely possible, though this also typically kills the child and results in a stillbirth. And even so there's some debates about if that is truly the cause or if it's more a medical issue (Keratia is at that weird point in scientific development where they can try for a purely scientific method of healing, technology, and so forth, but magic adds in factors that no real-life science can explain sufficiently). Theologically speaking, it is your soul which joins with the gods after death, and it is also the soul that can haunt a corpse or location depending on the circumstances of one's death as well, so a lack of a soul means that doing either isn't possible for them. But for someone to live without ever having soul is almost unheard of. Even Lich's technically have souls via their Phylactery, so they are not truly soulless beings. Golems and constructs are generally considered soulless as the likes of Warforged have not yet been discovered (Buddy himself being a very bizarre entity even within Keratia).

So tl;dr is no, no one has ever been born without a soul.
No problems. I ought to post something for my RP's too.
The orc was more than willing to share a drink with Nanaya and took whatever she gave him. Having already reached his limit before, he barely managed to stay on his feet afterwards. His words were slurred and he was visibly dizzy and swaying. "Chaaaah! Dats da guuuuud stuff right dere lassies laddie! Yare yare, dey got sum real ANIMALS in dere dontcha know, champions a -hic- Fuckin BEAR, soze da odds ain't never in yer favor... Newcooms always sumthin... Thirteen-ta-one... Good shit." The orc continued to sway and his body was slumped against the wall. "Gotta get dat copper... Damn drow got me indebted mhmmzer... Lots ol lads and lassie copper coinflip... Washed up and brought down under ta... Ta spider chow..." The orc stopped talking as he suddenly just fell asleep on the side of the wall.
I say we take a longrest and secure the fortress while we can. We'll leave once we're rested regardless of what time of day it is. As for the loot, Orchid would want to at least collect on her payment, and take the magic glaive. Finally she'll take a potion of heroism and potion of healing, and she'll be good for loot.

Eventually Donny would reach his lockers. As he doesn’t wear shoes, he could afford to stash the rest of his snacks in here. He put his bento box, his bread, and a few of his soda cans here so he could pick them up later. Unfortunately he picked a rather bad time to show up: a lot of students were crowding near the only exit, with many turning around to find another way out. ”Aya. Hmm hmm hmm…”

Donny needed to get around these students, and simply slithering beneath their feet would be easy enough. But he didn’t want to get in trouble on his first day for invading the personal space of his fellow students, nor get in trouble with any of the girls who’ll feel uncomfortable with him underneath them. That’s when he spied one of the open windows. It was a bit of a drop, only about ten feet, nothing he couldn’t handle. Not to mention he had a particular destination in mind. ”Yeah this oughta work.”

So gathering his things Donny flung himself out the window. However he grabbed onto the edge as his body slapped the wall with a heavy thud. The sticky parts of his ooze helped keep him attached, as well as the multiple tiny talons he produced from his body to help keep traction against the walls. Then like a grotesque sort of giant slug he began to crawl up the side of the wall and onto the roof tops. This would give him the highest vantage point to look at the students above and below him.

”Lets see lets see… Acion and Alice are probably flying around here somewhere…”
Nah, and it’s a matter of much discussion even to this day. Like any royal family they are mired in controversy and politics, with many theories ranging from Cannibal Katalmach being a rightful heir retaking what is his by force, simply being an assassin who did what he did as a message, or just a rumor started to paint orcs and half-orcs in an incredibly bad light, as his name and races are one of the few things anyone knows about him. And there’s even debates on whether any of that is true or not.
Yeah sorry for the radio silence. I didn't really have an idea of what to post that I didn't already say OoC, but for the sake of a living RP I posted something.
Orchid would chase down the man and the kobold for a short while, but once they fled the building she stopped. Truthfully, she wanted to kill the man to plunder his armor, however going to fight him alone, even if he's unarmed, while that kobold still lived was a risky idea. Especially since if she follows him further he may just lead her to a trap. Orchid waited nearby to see if he or the kobold would return, but once it was evident that they were gone, even if only temporarily, Orchid simply set up a crude barricade after closing the door with whatever was available and would meet up with the others.

It would seem that they managed to save a few people, and most everyone that was thrown into the dungeon were alive. Orchid took a deep breath and gave everyone a nod. "First, we should check the bodies. There may be something here that can assist us in knowing where we've been taken and how to escape. Maybe if there's any keys if those chests are locked. I'm fairly certain that Najila is missing a book or some sort? It'll be important for her to get that back." Orchid would go to the bodies of the mage, as well as their other enemies, and bury her blade into their necks just to ensure that they're dead. Seeing the corpses of the other caravaneers however, she did feel a pit in her stomach. "I can't pretend I could've saved them. I'll just have to settle for helping the ones who survived."

Orchid would check the bodies of the defeated enemies for anything of importance, notes, keys, odd trinkets, spellbooks or scrolls. Pretty much anything of value really. She was certain that none of them were going to get hazard pay, so she'll have to make due with plunder they could pawn off if they reach civilization.
Not specifically. There is a god for Thievery, a separate one for the Sea, and one about Travel, but none specifically meant for Piracy. While superstitious in a way, most pirates rarely are devout to any god. The fact Talogan is a paladin pirate makes him considerably weird compared to most other pirates who aren't explicitly just a sea-borne cult.
