Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Werner nods and motions to the others sitting around them. "As I said, a lot of these people have been waiting to get in, working their skins raw to prove their worth, and all they're getting from it is barely enough to eat and these walls you see. Oh sure, certainly better than eeking out a desperate living in the metros... But not by much." The old man looked at his hand nostalgically, gripping the wrapped blade. "Bout a month ago a good size group of refugees tried to do something about it. Back then Underhaven was a bit more open. They went in and tried to talk to the mayor about letting them live inside the settlement instead of out here, but one thing led to another and they got boxed in. Couldn't get out, but didn't have the firepower to fight back. They had to resort to desperate measures, and escaped through Underhaven's nuclear reactor. Way I hear it most didn't make it, but some did. A lot of them were young folk, friends and families of the people you see here." Werner seemed to be telling a different side of the story that the head of security told Cat.

"One of my daughters was with that group. Bright eyed girl, always saw the best in people. She really thought if she could just... Talk to them, they'd let the people in. Let us in. Should've... Nevermind." The man let go of his knife and looked back up to Cat. "Anyways since that incident there's been word that those who managed to escape have started their own colony somewhere. Can't let people know about it of course, since a lotta folks in Underhaven would love to just gun them all down, so whenever someone here in camp gets fed up with waiting they go out and try to find them. I..." Werner looked towards the fire, his eyes seemingly blank and empty. "I'm just telling you because it's only going to get rough from here on out. Underhaven ain't a perfect place, and no place really is, but there's a storm brewing and we're all going to get caught in it. Just like you said: problem is the people."

Another thing Cat might've noticed now that she's been with Werner for a while, he had the slight scent of alcohol on him. It was small, and she would've missed it if it weren't for her keen senses. Most metro hooch was in such poor quality that you'd need to drink gallons before you'd really get drunk off of them, and by then you'd likely already died by poisoning. So Werner either had a stockpile somewhere in this cramped camp, or he has some high quality booze hidden away.

Donny listened to the kid, Ellie, as she critiqued his story. "I'm just telling it as it is kid. But ya know... Don't need too much imagination in this world to know how bad it can get." Donny felt a bit defensive about his story. He thought it was pretty good. But aside from that Ellie told Donny about some quake. From the sounds if it, might've been prospectors. A special type of scavenger who specialized in clearing away old ruins to get to the juicy bits inside. Naturally of course, prospectors had to be very skillful to deal with the various hazards and threats their actions cause. Most die on the job, but a few who don't come out very successful. From the sounds of it though, whoever found these tunnels didn't make it to salvage the rewards. At least if what Ellie said was true.

"Untapped tunnels huh? Well, maybe once I get settled in, might be able to prep for a big job like that. Not too keen on taking on a bunch of ferals without some serious firepower at my back. But thanks for the tip kid." Donny made sure to look over his belongings again to make sure nothing was stolen. As he did so, he did have an idea of how to jury rig some parts for the rifle. He'll just need access to a fire, even a small one, just enough to heat up metal to be malleable. "Say kid. Think you can get me some of whatever you guys are using to keep that fire going? I'll give you a couple of my knives for it."
Nay, dual wielding is silly. Better to combine all the concepts together. Stick Rock Saw.

Why must rock and stick fight? They should breed and bare powerful children. We can call it...

Stick Rock.
"Showtime."

As far as plans go, this wasn't the worse plan. They at least weren't getting ambushed. Certainly everything could go better, but Reyvadin knows that there's no such thing as a perfect plan, just one that works. The presume leader of these brigands cut down one of the prisoners, perhaps as a show of intimidation, and proceeded to take on Raddek. Two brigands were moving towards him and Lorcan, scanning the area with their crossbow. The big lug went on the offensive and tried to bash one of the brigands in the head with his cuffs. "Seriously, does no one here have even a branch as a weapon? I literally gave a few out. Bunch of savages." Reyvadin decided to capitalize on the distraction that Lorcan made and thrust his wooden spear towards the thug.

In a moment, Reyvadin would almost feel himself back at home. A much younger man, armed with a similarly crude spear, but attacking a straw dummy. The dummy was armored with metal plates and the young man was thrusting his weapon at the head and neck, though more often than not his spear struck the plates. He seemed to be having a fun time at it until a much older man stood behind him and struck his head with a solid fist. He scolded the youngling for trying to attack such an armored position: even if the foe would surely die if struck in the neck or head, it's also the part that he would defend the most. He needed to strike not just where it would be most effective, but also least defended. And so the man continued training, aiming his blows more carefully this time. While not quite as visceral, the young man was getting more accustomed to get his spear where it needs to be.

Back to reality, as Lorcan struck at the man's head Reyvadin burst from his hiding spot to attack the man. Though a bandit he may be, this thug still had some armor on him. A padded jacket wasn't the strongest but against this crude wooden spear it would be enough that Reyvadin won't be able to inflict a lethal blow against him through his body. So instead the exiled prince aimed lower: into the back of the brigand's knee. Reyvadin struck hard and fast, putting his full body into the attack before pulling his body away and staying on the move. Reyvadin had no armor to speak of so standing still would be a death sentence. He'll let Lorcan attract the bolts: he was a bigger target and likely scarier to these rogues than a much smaller, somewhat lithe Reyvadin. He made a dash for some trees to serve as cover from both errant bolts and the enemy's eyes. Hopefully the others are handling their threats: Reyvadin can't be bothered to watch over them and focus on his own fight. If things are looking that bad Reyvadin will just have to cut his loses, stealing what he can and running back into the woods.

Name: Domick
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Domick didn't always look like this. Before he had a fairly nice, if conventional look. But after a certain event, his skin turned deathly pale and he gained a few burn scars. He's also slightly blind in his left eye.

Role: Hunter/Gatherer
Weapons:
Main - Super Scattergun (Heavy Bowgun). A custom built bowgun Domick commissioned while he was in the New World. A non-elemental bowgun that is specialized in Spread Ammo, but it can also use Sticky, Slicing, Paralysis, Sleep, Recovery, Demon, Armor, Wyvern, and Tranquilizer Ammo. It's special ammo is Wyvern Heart. Designed for close quarters combat despite being a ranged weapon, depending on the prey Domick can pick attachments to make it either even more powerful in combat, or give him some defensive abilities making him a strange but effective tank in battle.
Secondary - Punisher (Greatsword) - A relic of the old world, this Greatswored looks more like a Greataxe, but otherwise functions the same as a big honking cleaving weapon. Nothing particularly unique about this weapon beyond it's appearance, but it at least serves the classic Greatsword purpose of being a powerful cutting tool capable of cleaving tails and limbs as necessity demands.
Armor:

Domick wears standard issue High Metal armor. It's fat appearance disguises Domick's athletic physique, which he doesn't really care to show off.

Bio: An old world hunter. Back at his village, he was considered the best hunter, and even taught other hunters who would later become quite skilled hunters in their own right. An ace cadet in his time, he quickly gained fame for hunting a Rathalos solo when he was only a month into his training. He had a natural talent for hunting and a good mind for resource management, enabling him to always be prepared and hunt down most monsters with little difficulty, even ones he's never met before. However that was a long time ago. Rumor has it that something happened that forced Domick into an hiatus. He doesn't talk about it and most of the rumors conflict with each other. All that is known for certain is that during his hiatus Domick dropped off the hunter scene and underwent some sort of mental rehabilitation, and later he was shipped out to the New World to make use of his hunting skills instead of decommissioning him as a hunter. People say he was never the same after that.

Interests: Domick has an odd fascination about eating monsters. While it's not unsusual, and most skilled chefs can certainly make a steak out of any beasts, Domick's fascination towards eating monsters almost borderlines psychotic. On a lighter note, he also enjoys mushrooms and has developed not only a taste, but almost an affinity towards them. He's been known to eat blue mushrooms and toadstools with no ill effect, though he's working on being able to stomach nitro and parashrooms as well.

Aside from eating and hunting, Domick is also an avid gardener and gatherer. Which granted, both contribute to eating and hunting, but he still maintains his own ancient garden in order to grow the seeds he needs for his bowgun, as well as gathering materials for medicines and consumption. He is a stickler about trying to minimize the damage to the environment precisely to ensure long term ecological health, which is why he dislikes quick and violent battles which can drastically shift an environment and even kill off growths and plant life in the area.

Hunting Style: He tends to hunt on his own and for very long periods of times: Domick's preferred method of hunting is endurance based where he would harass the target over the course of the day, allowing them to exhaust themselves trying to find him or fending off other threats, before he would go in for the kill once they're too weaken to put up a fight. This hasn't made him many friends in the New World, but it has enabled him to go after threats well above his level thanks to the amount of time and patience he puts into his technique.

Like many New World hunters Domick has a Slinger, though it doesn't see too much use when he's using his Bowgun. However when he's using his Greatsword it sees a lot more use, as he is a avid user of the "Sling Sword" Greatsword Style, using the Slinger and Greatsword in tandem for rapid and powerful assaults. In particular he even grows his own Scatter Nuts to take into hunts for their effectiveness in stunning monsters.

Commonly takes a Ghillie Mantle and Affinity Booster on hunts. The Ghillie Mantle is useful when he's just out and about, as it hides him from both small and large monsters while he's gathering materials and valuable objects, such as large stones or wyvern eggs. It also plays a crucial role in enabling Domick to get close to a monster to plan bombs or ambush them. The Affinity Booster is Domick Go-To combat tool to sharpen his senses and enable him to more easily find weak points against monsters to do more damage. Again, very important once the prey is just about ready to be slain.

In addition to these tools, Domick will often carry some portable megabombs, Flash Pods, and traps. Though most of his inventory contains seeds and ammunition for his Bowgun, but when he's using his Greatsword he can afford to carry more items tailored towards the hunt.

Dope. I'm eager to get started.
Dope. I'll likely make a Hunter/Palico pair.

How hardcore will you be in regards to stuff like combat difficulty and inventory? In particular, I plan to play a Heavy Bowgunner, so do I need to worry about keeping track of all of my ammo and supplies to make more ammo? Additionally, what are you thoughts about "custom" equipment? For example if I wanted to make a special bowgun that doesn't specifically exist in the games (namely by using a specific set of ammo types).
Been looking for a MonHunt RP. Will we also get to have out Palico's with us, possibly even playing as Palicos, or hunters only?
Rodger dodger. I ought to get something up by Tuesday at the latest.
