Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

Dropkicked.

What do you need Fleo for anyway? Did anything happen? I reread your post, and there's nothing there to indicate a major response. I try not to post unless I have genuinely interesting subject matter to cover; less-than-a-paragraph posts aren't my style.
How's everyone doing?
@Lugubrious What class are each of these demons?

All physical. I'm going to make some of the other varieties though.
Dracomaid:
Fearsome beasts also known as Dragon Girls or Redscales, Dracomaids are wild beasts despite looking in part like human women. Unlike other tauroid demons, the Dracomaids’ forelegs are arms in their own right, capable of grabbing, ripping, and even climbing. Therefore, in addition to brutish strength, nasty claws, a lashing tail, and highly durable scales, these demons also sport remarkable mobility. In terms of size, Dracomaids’ human halves are about as large as an ordinary womens’, if not a little larger. Typically encountered wielding various all-metal polearms with which to defend their vulnerable upper halves, Dracomaids are not to be underestimated. They prefer warm climates.

Khnum Demon:
Of the tauroid demons, Khnum Demons are the least mobile but the most durable. While their goatlike legs can carry them only forward and backward, with degrees of turning based on current speed, their armor and even their monstrous horns can deflect weapon attacks, while their absurdly oversized weapons become deadly given their terrifying strength and martial poise. Less mindlessly destructive and vicious than many other physical demons, Khnum Demons serve as the knights of their kind, fighting with a skill in addition to raw power that makes them perhaps among the most deadly. Befitting their elevated status, they can speak, though all but the choicest words are reserved from the despicable humans.

Cu Sith:
Cu Siths are vicious abominations outdoing elephants in height if not weight, and with the raw, obliterating power to level entire cities if not checked. Wielding giant axes, armored limbs like clubs, and spiked, whiplike tails, they are among the most lethal of physical demons if not fought with caution and keen, quick intellect. Their thunderous, shrieking roars have earned the species the title ‘Ruin Caller’, among other, more curse-intensive nicknames. Drawn to bloodshed and hatred, they can swat down armies, but they are not without weaknesses. These tyrants of the demon world, judging by their dislike of sunlight and susceptibility to blindness, have weak eyes, though any mortal would be hard-pressed to utilize such a fault against such a mountain of demonic might.

I've created three classes of demon on the character tab's second post if you want to take a look. Incidentally I could use help naming the classes but that's immaterial at the moment.

I've only got two types of demons, the storm type demon that my character is possessed with and Gremlins which are essentially the demon version of slimes.

I'll work up a couple for you sometime tonight.
Ni Rensa – Frenzy Plant Stands

@liferusher@caits

Situated alongside her fellow soldiers in the guild seating area, Ni Rensa the War Sphinx heard the host blabber about Phoenix Wing before getting abruptly and excitingly to the point: today’s lineup for the pre-battle event. The more aware members of Frenzy Plant faltered in their enthusiasm, however, when Demetri received the nomination for the day’s game. Demetri? Ni pondered, not yet noticing the green-clad man stealing up on her. Isn’t he still in the infirmary from that spear to his guts? …! Spinning around, she fixed her eyes on the person behind her, and found herself faced with none other than General Sanders himself. Though startled, she gave a bright smile to the formidable face. ”…Hiya! Oh, I meanya, good mornying, sir. Somethinya I do for you?” She gave an informal salute.

Sanders nodded in the manner of a sage, which coincidentally constituted the color of his robe. ”Yes, miss. Would you please run over to the announcer’s box an’ tell him that Demetri’s still recoverin’ from his wound? We’ll replace him with Thor. Go on.” Grinning at the chance to do the general a favor, she sprang from her seat and raced down the aisle, running low to the ground. Her metal shoeblades clinged noisily against the sandstone walkway, and in very little time she raced through the open door to the box where Sheldon, Jessie, and the other man sat. ”Hiya! I’m from Frenzy Plant. Demetri’s still hurt, so we’re havinya Thor compete instead! Hope ya got a bunch of electric puns in store; Thor’s gonnya shock your socks off!” With a laugh she retired from the box, and returned at a more leisurely pace to the Frenzy Plant area.

Nero the Genie – Crocus Pancake Parlor

@liferusher

The minutes slid by too quickly. As much as he enjoyed messing with others, and the profession of geniehood itself, Nero treasured time with his friends highly indeed. This stunningly original sentiment rested in the hearts of many, but in the black heart of one so commonly regarded as a monster and a rook, a loner more than happy to drive off anyone professing themselves ‘friendly’, it resonated powerfully indeed. What delighted Nero was not, as one might guess, talking to him. Words the dark mage gave freely to anyone he met, enough so that people could easily conclude that he loved the sound of his own voice. Rather, the silence pleased him. In silence he sat, in the warmly-lit interior of Crocus Pancake Parlor, and pick at his food alongside Ayame and Eve.

By chance he stumbled into her earlier in the morning, though Eve, for whom it had been no chance at all, wasted no time before launching into an explanation. After her transformative experience two days ago, she elucidated, she’d wanted a day to get to know not only herself but her guildmates in Dragon Fang once again. Few, as it turned out, even recognized the girl. Nero could not blame them, for his magical changed her inside and out. The harmfully selfless, tragically troubled wallflower her acquaintances knew before existed no longer; instead, Eve held a new confidence and sense of self. Of course, Nero loved every inch of her. Her body and clothes made only part of the reason why; it was her soul that he adored. Never before had someone liked him this way, and though he knew himself to be affection-starved, Nero could tell that his attraction to her went beyond superficiality. Love? Pff. It pleased him to deny its existence, and so debase the nonsense that other people dreamt up to excuse their lusts. How ironic that the faithless troublemaker might fall victim to his own prejudice.

”Hey,” he said after some time, while the three finished up. ”Whaddya say we head to the arena today? Hang out with the Dragon Fangers, see some action. Could be a lot of fun. Might be some people want wishes granted, too.” Eve wolfed down the last bite and nodded, smiling. The Genie then looked toward Ayame, to see whether she agreed with his suggestion or wanted to do something else. The slightest possibility that this day could be anything less than stupendous escaped him.

As soon as voiced interested parties post a CS or tell me they're not interested. Maybe a week or two. Hopefully sooner.

@Awesomoman64 You're good to go.

And man do I feel like I set myself up to be hated by everybody.

Also @Lugubrious if you still want to help me fill out the demonology texts I'd be more than grateful.

Absolutely. What do you need and where do you need it?

<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>

That's a rather unique idea. I do have some questions though. When and where did Alastair obtain the wand that uses to form his weapons constructs? What was the artifact that Alastair and his sister were searching for? Did you say Veiron had settlers? Cause that city is deserted. The land will not bear fruit and everyone is terrified of it. It would be like wanting to settle in Chernobyl. What did Meredith do to convince her brother to turn on her? Did Alastair kill her? Finally Why can't either of them take off their armour?

The wand was gained from the castle of the lonely duke, specifically a court mage who died during the years of the twins' youth. The artifact is, let's say, a family heirloom of her mother's that she knew would have survived the destruction. I can change 'settlers' to 'looters'; there are always greedy and courageous thieves who will scour sites of tragedy for gains. Meredith murdered said looters for no reason more than she was impatient. Alistair did not kill her; he merely trapped her, and he continues to visit her infrequently. Neither of them can take off their armor because they have grown slightly since putting it on, and the occult marks on their bodies have practically made the armor part of them as well.

Music for Highball:

Also, yeah, I think that there's just a bit for you to correct on your post. Getting to the ravine would take a couple hours, not a few minutes, other than that, everything seems ok.

I see. I'll change that.
