Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

I wonder who might be used as inspiration for humans...?
@Lugubrious

BASL and JCL are waiting on you in Brewing Storm. Bang bang bang bang

Rest assured I haven't forgotten you; today happens to be the most stressful day of the year so far for me, and yesterday I was preparing for it. If I cannot whip up a post tonight, it shall be done tomorrow afternoon.
So has Slough Week officially begun then?
Need Lugu's skype name, and anyone else who is interested.

It's cavalier639_, though my current nickname is Lugubrious.
I've only played DMC3 and 4, but I regularly went reading on 1 and 2.

I'm still not too sure about Darksiders though, Bayonetta with DMC I can agree with, I've played Bayonetta 1, so I know how the worlds can meld at least, but I've no clue on Darksiders and how it's lore can or will clash with Bayonetta and DMC.

It won't really. Darksiders has heaven and hell, which are populated by angels and demons, just like in the other games (paradiso and inferno are names for the same thing). It has numerous other realms as well, but they don't explicitly clash with anything and we can ignore them if we choose. The main characters in Darksiders are Nephilim, which are a race of warriors approximately halfway between angel and demon, which I can provide more information on, but there are humans as well. At the end of Darksiders 2, the apocalypse is reverted and humanity saved, so there's no real breach in the state of the earth.

The Charred Council isn't an authority in hell; it's an authority in the universe. In Greek mythology, if Zeus is king of heaven and Hades king of hell, then the Charred Council is like the fates. It doesn't actually do much itself, but its Councillors are wise and nigh-omniscient, where their authority is derived from.
@Lugubrious I forgot to mention the part with Bayonetta and DMC being part of the same universe too. It won't be too often, and even then that usually goes for the main characters. They'll simply me NPCs or just used very sparingly for plot wise.

I can also help out with the Bayonetta parts too, having played both games before (and playing her via Smash).

I'm sure we can all more or less work together on the DMC and Bayonetta parts, given their popularity and proliferation of lore. I played DMCs 1 and 3 all the way through, and watched a playthrough of 4. Also watched a playthrough of Bayonetta.
I'd advocate against cameos of canonical characters, but even more I'd say not to include any more than three universes, and even then make sure that those are well-tied together. The makers of DMC and Bayonetta have indicated that they take place in the same universe, and Darksiders aligns pretty closely. All of them would be able to be a fully integrated universe, no multiverse necessary.

I could at least provide info on Bayonetta. I was pretty big on reading the codexes or whatever.

Superb. You for Bayonetta, Sho for DMC, and me for Darksiders sounds good.

Also Darksiders does make an appearance in PxZ.

That said, I have no idea on the Darksiders world either, literally I only know DMC well.

So far we have lmp volunteering, who else?

I think you mean Darkstalkers. Darksiders is this:

Darksiders fits the mold way better than God of War, which focuses on a Greek mythological premise rather than Judeo-Christian lore.

And I was volunteering.
It also doesn't require the Demon's soul to make a Devil Arm.

That's proven by Yamato, Rebellion, and Force Edge, which were all forged from and by the same demon, Sparda. Force Edge was poured with Sparda's power, which allowed Arkham to access his form for a short while before he turned into sludge.

It likely requires immense power to make them strong though, but it doesn't exactly cost the demon's life.

That's true. I defaulted to making the Devil Arms out of demon souls because that's a parallel between DMC, Bayonetta (as evidenced by Rodin, who does kill demons and make their souls into weapons), and Darksiders (where weapons are literally crafted from the remains of enemies, with soul power evident but not used as a resource). The company certainly wouldn't have the ability to make powerful weapons without sacrificing a demon's soul.
I see. Well, in the meantime then, I would be interested to know what people think of Allure.
