<Snipped quote by Mahz> Does this include any way for administrators or moderators to change the GM of a roleplay, in case the GM has for example disappeared or abandoned the roleplay?
I'll consider this sort of feature when there are actual co-GM-/GM-specific powers.
<Snipped quote by Mahz> Bravo! Will the username auto-suggest system also be extended to PMs?
Some day™. The auto-suggestion system was easy to hook up for the co-GM form since you can only add one at a time, so the auto-suggestion UI can just take over the entire input. But the new-convo form is a comma-delimited list of usernames, so it'll involve some thinking + refactoring to implement.

Speaking of uploading images (this does relate, even if it may not appear to), how constructed are the Guild's security features?
The avatar system (via ImageMagick) only works on images. Is that what you mean?
I have a question @Mahz can we get a "mention" button at the bottom of posts so we can just click that and have the mention tag already filled in? Would that be possible?
Yeah, I had the same idea. I'll add a @Mention button for when all you want to do is @Mention someone. I'll change the text of the "Reply" button to "Quote". It'll also be much better when typing [@ (the start of a @Mention) pops up the auto-suggestion box. Though if it's too hacky to get that to work, I may just add a small input box to the editor that auto-suggests usernames and then lets you click some "Insert @Mention" button to place it into the post you're writing. Note to self: Currently @Mention and @QuoteMention notifications are only registered/sent upon post creation, not when editing a post. https://github.com/danneu/guild/issues/40

Latest push: Implemented a co-GM system, available in the edit-topic panel: A roleplay GM can now elect up to two co-GMs which will receive an orange "Co-GM" banner in their posts. It's purely ceremonial for now, but eventually GM/co-GMs will have some more controls available to them. However, it's a strong signal of authority to a roleplay's paticipants since players are required to obey GM/co-GMs (rather than bicker with them). Also implemented a username auto-suggest system which I'll eventually extend to the mention system to make mentions easier.
That would be fun. Maybe a live chat window option that you could open with them. I dunno.
That'd actually be cool. To send anyone on the Guild a chat message like Facebook chat. I would use that all the time.

Here's an idea I've pitched before but just pitched again in response to @Ellri's suggestion: http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/2435982 I'd like to work on the tag system this weekend (along with some features for the contest system). Could anyone help me come up with a list of genre tags so people can tag their roleplays and interest checks? There are some cool and non-invasive features I'd like to build on top of such a system. For one, I want to enhance interest check discoverability *and* the discoverability of other roleplayers that share your interests. I'd like to start with a small/conservative/general set of genre tags and then add more as necessary. Ideally I would allow arbitrary user tags and then add the popular user tags to the official tag system. But not til a basic mechanism is working that validates the effort.
I think there's a good idea here. Here's my idea so far: - We allow people to tag their roleplays and interest checks with tags. Those tags predominantly consist of genres. - We convert the each RP forum into a tag. For backwards-compatibility, whichever forum you create your roleplay in will be its first tag. For example, if you create your RP in 1x1, then '1x1' will be its first tag. You can then add more tags to it like 'Casual', 'Arena', and 'Sci-Fi'. - I create a view that shows *all* interest checks in one list. Users can filter this list of interest checks by tags (and other options like interest checks only started by people on their friends list). Once this tag system is somewhat proven and we consider it an improvement upon the current system: - Users can specify their favorite tags on their profile. - You can sort the user list by active roleplayers that share your favorite tags (i.e. a system for finding roleplayers that share your interests) - When you view a user's profile, it shows the tags you have in common and perhaps the tags you have in conflict (like if you like 'Sci-Fi' but they marked it as something they dislike. What do you think? The nice thing about the above system is that it doesn't impact the current system. Everything is built on top of the "tag" system. You could completely ignore the above changes and the only way your guild experience would change is that there are now tags (improved metadata) on interest checks and roleplays, something I consider to be an uncontroversial improvement.

As much as I'd like to blame @Doivid for his revolting lack of attention to detail , the parser should be lenient enough to handle that issue. I'll take a look.

Can we get ordered lists, too?
Yeah. The list BBCode needs work in general. @BBeast pointed out a while back that it sucks with line-breaks, too. Needs to be looked at. Still recovering from BBCode/editor burnout though.

Would it be difficult to reintroduce editable font sizes?
Yeah, haven't touched BBCode since the first release. Need to. Also wanna remove underlines from the h1/h2/h3 tags or allow an option like [h1=underline]...[/h1] or make [u][h1]...[/h1][/u] look good.
