Current DinoBlade is seriously making me imagine an even more hardcore version of Dinotopia, and it's getting distracting.

It is with my fondest resolution to have an impact on as many lives as possible in mind that I say "BREATHE MANUALLY NOW!" Okay thanks. Now back to writing things only I can enjoy.

I get the impression that it's best to put as much info into the interest check as possible, just so players know what they're getting themselves into as soon as possible.

Woouldn't you know that work picks up just when things are getting good. But I'm nothing if not stubborn when it comes to my crazy ideas.

Yes but that which doesn't drown you can make for an unforgettable Summer (or Autumn, whatever).

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

That is certainly a viable option if you wish to pursue it. I think it couldn't hurt to give it a try; it shouldn't be any harder than this run, right? Unfortunately, I will have to bow out this time around. I'm not sure that a group RP is in the cards for me right now. I do think that a reboot is the best way to attract new players, though. I always thought the story was interesting and what one should reasonably expect from a game like this. Also, it's quite hard for me to imagine how else the course of posts could have differed from you posting and the rest of us following suit. I can only guess that some were having trouble thinking of things to write between checkpoints, but if that was really any fault of yours - I doubt it. I've seen plenty of GMs disappear completely, but you always came back and tried and keep us moving along the best you could, so thanks for that.

All the luck in the world with whatever you end up doing. :)
I pretty much always keep my eyes on this amid whatever else I'm doing.
Viranti

@Darkmoon Angel
The dragon had hastily charged into a group, working up enough speed and momentum to pounce onto an unprepared bandit, his arms forcing a slide across the cobbled pathway for a few feet before the beastman practically somersaulted and used the remaining force to hurl the unlucky man in an overhead throw that saw him fly through the air and crash into two other bandits. "Of what use are tactics against these weaklings?!" Viranti conjectured, emboldened by the inexplicable buff he had received, thinking he'd try his hand at disarming an armored assailant but finding the results to be a step beyond what he had intended, not that he wasn't complaining, though the bandit certainly was. It sounded to him that the "mechwarrior" would be carrying out something in order to find the leader among the attacking force, meaning that it should probably be protected until then, a chore he'd be inclined to think as too much of a hassle if he wasn't having fun here. To GX's distant flank further down the courtyard were a line of rifleman poised to fire, unfamiliar weaponry, but it wasn't like he'd let that stop him from advancing on them, his cocky smile faltering as their barrels erupted in flash and munitions, Viranti diving behind a decorative hedge, but not before getting hit in the left calf and right forearm. There was a lesson to be learned here, but instead Viranti dashed as far as he could and unleashed a ferocious wave of flames that reached and ultimately roasted the entire line of marksman as well as two thirds of the gunners that were setting up behind them. A group of four bandits had diverged to keep the dragonute at bay until that final third could pick him off from afar. As a side note, there's a chance Viranti might have burned down some trees and such in the blast.

Just a heads up that I'm still around, but I'm also going to be held up till next week, so any post I do will have to wait until then. Don't have to worry about me though, I'll catch up later. :)
@KatherinWinter
Sorry bout the delay. Anyway, I guess I get it. I would have given it a shot for what it's worth. Good luck in the future, Katherin.
@KatherinWinter
Sorry to hear it. All the same, I dare any GM to stick it out as long as you have. Although Liegelord and I wouldn't mind pairing off with your characters at all for activities, I think I can understand that you'd prefer more people involved. To anyone saying that the RP wasn't "supernatural" enough, I'd point to the next activity, which would encourage the use of everyone's powers from what I heard.
I altered my post a little. I'm thinking that should do it.
@KatherinWinter@LiegeLord
I would have liked to wait for deerling, but I suppose even they wouldn't want to hold things up if it truly came down to them. Perhaps sometime tomorrow we could have our characters be ready for the activity and deerling can rejoin in whenever they're ready. That should be us accounted for anyway.
@LiegeLord@deerling
"Yeah, you're right," Cecilia said to James, looking down to gently brush her hand over Neric's back a few more times before turning her head to Ivory. "We should get going, Ivory. They'll be expecting us there. You think you're up for that? You don't have to worry about the dishes. I'll take everything back to the hall." Once Ivory had eaten all she could, Cecilia would gather the food in her arms. "Okay, that should be it. I'll catch up with you guys in a bit." Cecilia thought for a moment. "Ivory, i-if you're feeling nervous, I guess it wouldn't hurt if you wanted to stay behind until you felt comfortable joining us..." Cecilia didn't want Ivory to skip out of the activity entirely, but wasn't about to push her either. With a reassured nod, Cecilia would depart and head for the dining hall to leave the dishes with the staff, all the while imagining how her powers were supposed to come into play in the activity. Leaving the lunchroom, she walked over to he growing group of campers. She turned her head from side to side to see if who was already there.
@KatherinWinter
I'm around.
