Marlowe — Roleplayer Guild

I've come to you guys with a dilemma. I'm not going to be able to be in charge of this RP any longer. Every time I open it up and go to type a post in, I find myself at a deadend. Honestly, I feel like, having started it just after the semester was over and getting a ton of drama over characters and rules, killed my interest. So I'm gonna leave this plot to you guys. If you want to continue it, go ahead! Hell if you even ask what was the overarching plot, I'll tell you if you wanna GM it. 

I'm not a GM who picks up and leaves their players in the dust, at least, not like this. It really hurts to throw out a world I've worked so hard on. But I just don't have the motivation to handle this RP anymore.

Personality:
Stubborn and hot-headed, Corine always has something to say. Her tongue is as sharp as a knife and is fueled by her fiery temperament. It's said that, the more she teases someone, the more she likes them; if she's somewhat polite and quiet in one's midst, it's clear that she's not keen on mingling with you. Even when she isn't talking or fooling around, her strong personality is displayed by the way she acts. Corine will go to no ends in order to hide weakness-- this includes covering up injuries that hinder her.

	She bottles up emotions that she deems are for the weak, such as sadness, fear, and infatuation. Because of this, she is prone to unleash her suppressed emotions on people, even the ones who are close to her. She is, however, incredibly loyal to her allies and will stick with them until the end. If they gather around and tell stories, you bet she'll be there, laughing and singing along with her friends. If they rush into a battle that might kill them, there isn't a way on earth she'll get left behind.

Biography:
Ever since she was little, Corine dreamed of joining the Frinian army as a knight. She wanted to be something other than a farmer, like her parents were. Rough-housing and going on adventures with the boys were a common occurrence, despite her father's protests. Her mother, on the other hand, fed into her ambition. She allowed her daughter ti engage in sparring competitions and other activities, even if Corine ended up hurt in one way or another.

	When Corine was old enough to join the military, she left home and headed to Bellideaux to register for the army. She struggled as a recruit; on multiple accounts, she failed her assignments and was thereby known as a common foot soldier, at best. Becoming frustrated with her predicament and furious with her superiors, she began to act up, going so far as to questioning and confronting her officers. Eventually, she was discharged from the army and left to fend for herself. 

	Corine didn't give up that easily. She set off to make a name for herself, deciding that if the army didn't she wanted-- glory --she would, herself. However, traversing all of Galdria was no easy task, especially on her lonesome. Unfortunately for her, Corine didn't necessarily have enough money to buy a horse, for they were very valuable in Frinia. The next best thing would be a chocobo, and although she wasn't a fan of the thought of riding upon a flightless bird for much of her time, she had to do what she had to do. Ever since she met Zephyr, Corine has been riding across Galdria as a mercenary.

Class: Chocobo Knight: the Chocobo Knight is a mounted unit that bears decent strength and speed stats. With their trusted chocobo companion, they are skilled at direct combat but struggle at charging techniques. The Chocobo Knight also has the ability to  cast curative spells and abilities that aid their allies.
	Happy Feet: gains a 10% bonus to speed and defense.
	Nimble: if knocked off her chocobo's back, Corine is able to remount without the use of protective abilities.
	Fervor of Battle: when dismounted, Corine gains 20% strength but loses the same amount of speed.

Main Weapon: Iron Sword: typical iron sword that isn't really that heavy.

Off-Hand: Knife: when enemies get a little too close, it's time for Corine to break out this little fella.

Armor: a light set of armor that protects Corine just enough.

Additional: her mount-- a bright yellow chocobo that she calls Zephyr.

Quickened Blows [SP/5]: if Corine's first attack hits, then she can immediately attack the closest enemy unit. If the enemy is staggered, it causes more damage.

Knife Throw [STR/3]: Corine throws her knife from a distance. If it hits an enemy that was previously attacked by an ally, it does extra damage.

Dash de Chocobo [STR/5]: Corine and Zephyr dash forward, slamming into an enemy unit in a flurry of talons and wings. Has a chance of staggering.

Choco Beak [STR/5]: Zephyr's beak allows for extra damage.

Protect [P/1]: conjures a small barrier on herself or an ally.

Choco Cure [P/3]: cures self or an ally.

Choco Esuna [P/4]: removes debuffs from herself or allies. 

Choco Haste [P/SP/2]:  if Corine chooses to quicken herself, then it relies on her speed state. If she chooses to quicken her allies, then it only relies on piety. 

Dance de Chocobo [P/4]: slightly rallies allies.

Choco Flame [M/2]: fires a small flame at a single enemy.

Choco Cura [P/7]: cures herself or allies for a significant amount.

Choco Firaga [M/10]: fire magic that hits a single target for a decent amount of damage.

Ravenous Blows [ST/SP/10]: unleashes a flurry of fearsome strikes that does massive damage is the enemy is staggered.

Frenzy de Chocobo [ST/SP/15]: Zephyr and Corine become immersed in battle. Whether mounted or not, the duo carries out a frenzy of attacks that deal a great amount of damage to all enemy units.

Feign: when low on health, Corine has a higher chance at evading attacks. If she dodges right before the blow lands, she has a chance of staggering the enemy.

Resolute: Corine has a chance of surviving a fierce blow that has a chance of killing her, leaving her with 1 HP.

Taunt: when the party faces enemies stronger than them, Corine has the ability to draw attention to her through... an otherwise vulgar manner. This makes enemies try to attack her rather than her allies.
