Abilities:
light manipulation: This ability is fairly basic. It is what it is, the manipulat of light. This can be in any sort of attack. Light weapons can be created, and the light can be manipulated into illusions and into enabling it's user to hide.
Cody can at the current moment manipulate light in a way that enables him to see the world, seeing figures, objects and the like by light, whether it is the presence of light or merely the absence of light.
He can also manipulate light in a way that gives him some defensive a and offensive properties, but this ability is quite new and takes a lot of of him.
Essentially, Cody is learning what he can do, but it is not in leaps and bounds.
enhanced touch: whether this is a super power or merely an effect of Cody's blindness, this is never the less useful
enhanced hearing: again, whether this is merely an effect of blindness, this is beneficial and is more then a typical blind victim.
History:
Cody was born to what could be a normal family. Well, normal for them anyway. It became apparent quite quickly that something wasn't normal with him. His eyes were a pale, pale colour, perhaps the lightest blue you would see, and sightless. But the baby didn't appear to see anything wrong, and was a bouncing, bubbly boy. Off times, people would forget he was blind.
He excelled in grades, using what aids he had to complete school work, and to do everything he could. It became apparent that despite his lack of sight, he was not hindered. He could play musical instruments with ease, he could cook, he could do just about anything that a normal boy could.
He didn't see any hinderance, and as he grew, he began to find that images began to form, light seeming to swarm around him, forming the images of what was there. He did not know if this was normal or not, but it helped him to further his life, giving him a better quality as he began to realize how much of the world he was missing.
