Bio

Very well, where do I begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet.

My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles.

There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking. I highly suggest you try it.

Two things about The Surfer/Flash fight that I should probably make clear:

1) This isn't likely to be the only multi-hero fight of the season, so participation is completely optional. You could consider this entire scenario act one of three, meaning that everyone will get their chance to participate in an event of a similar scale before September. Nobody's gonna be left out unless they want to be.

2) For those wondering, the locale of where The Surfer and Flash are currently fighting won't matter if you want in on this. There'll be a clear opening to jump in on.

Though as I'm thinking about it now, if you're in a closer proximity to Central City such as Thor, or already on your way like Superman, I could write in an even earlier opening that'll give Flash some needed back-up before things really progress to a more hero-populated area. Might even give the fight itself some extra legs if more people are involved at varying stages.

What are the interested parties' thoughts on that? Keep it Flash-centric at first and then progress, or let some heavies enter the fray see where things go from there? The outcome will likely be the same either way, since The Surfer's going to intentionally be one tough bastard to take down.

You could be one of us. I'm sure @Master Bruce keeps the kryptonite locked away.

...

S...Sure. No kryptonite here.

Is it wrong I really like Superman Earth One?

Did not enjoy either Wonder Woman or Teen Titans Earth Ones though.

I forgot about Wonder Woman. I actually liked that one. It was weird to be sure, but it had interesting ideas.

I'd have liked Superman alot better if JMS' dialogue didn't have the subtlety of a freight train. I just don't like that dude's writing post-early 2000's Spider-Man. The concept of Clark trying to figure out what the hell to do with his powers was inspired, though, as was the concept of Jimmy being an older daredevil photo-journalist. And I liked the mildly tweaked costume.
@Master Bruce, if you had it your way would you have prevented the New 52 from rebooting the DC Universe or would you have had it continue as it was?

I think if DC had taken a page out of Marvel's book and relegated the New 52 stuff to another, alternate continuity meant to update existing characters that ran alongside the main books, remaining as they were, DC's continuity would be alot less of a mess right now.

As much as I like the two Batman: Earth One books that they put out (along with some Superman and Teen Titans books I didn't really like), that really should've been reserved for any attempt to solely attract new readers. Instead, they made things confusing for both new and old readers.

I remember Batman: The War on Crime. Wasn't its sequel called Batman: The War Continues or something?

The Ongoing War.

Get it right.

Mine was a 'Free Jaffa' character who somehow had a nation of free Jaffa before it was cool, their own planet and their own super OP Ancient Weapons system. Which I totally fought over when someone made this OP Mass of gloop that destroyed it. Then I had a ship that could time travel.

Good times.

I fought Killer Croc.

I'm sure I did other things with Dick in that game, but that's my biggest takeaway. Alot of my stuff was reactionary and heavily lenient on interaction. I don't think I ever actually had plans and story arcs in mind for him, given I was 14 at the time and didn't have much writing experience prior.

Beyond writing two scripts, one that adapted the old Playstation Spider-Man game cutscenes word-for-word and another that half-heartedly tried to merge Tim Burton's Batman and the Ben Affleck Daredevil film into one ripoff Batman origin movie. Both of which were roughly 12 pages long.
My first RP character was Nightwing in a Mainstream DC game back in 2004.

Exciting, I know.
Fuck y'all. I wish I could find my first character. Dark Master Matt was the height of western culture.

Are you talking about the same Dark Master Matt who was a wizard, and who was also able to turn into a falcon... to aid him as an assassin for the President?!
Yeah. Look at @Master Bruce as an example. He really went out of his comfort zone when he took up the mantle of the Bat for this game. We should all commend his bravery.

@Master Bruce It'll be a eulogy to compete with that of Supermans in... whatever Wraiths game was called. Absolute?

...

Okay, real talk, I've been agonizing for a few years over not coming up with a suitable "Ultimate" synonym for a DC Universe similar to Ultimate Marvel. And I'm now legit pissed that I never once thought of "Absolute DC".

I'mma steal it from Wraith for something
