Shit, sorry, been super busy, didn't notice we had started. Yes, I can work with his character, easily. I think we are gonna have a lot of fun together. Do you want me to post first, or would you like to?

Star Wars: Rise of the New Empire (Accepting new players)

Kalami had been stood at the top levels of the Senate Building. She looked down at the bureaucracy in action. A bunch of people trying to convince others that they needed more power than they already had, even though they didn't know what to do with it. "Makes you glad to be a member of the Senate Guard, doesn't it?" said a voice from over her shoulder. She turned around with her Pike at the ready. But there, she saw an old Togruta

"Shay." she smiled, she took her helmet off and held it under her arm. "It's always good to see you." she said. "If you can come back at the end of the session, i'll be glad to reminisce." she said, before turning back to the senate meeting.

"Trust me, Kalami, the others have every door and window covered. Your looking away is not going to change a thing." he said. She didn't look away, though. "Always by the book, aren't you?" he asked "Whatever happened to that young Swoop Ganger that I heard about, that used to raise hell in the underlevels."

"She grew up and realized that she had been a moron." she replied. He then walked over next to her. "Well, good news, somebody pulled in a favour from me and got me to pull some strings. You're going to be joining Senator Eclipse on her trip to Rodia. Your species homeworld." he said. "I thought you and Defenser Squadron could use some time away from Coruscant." She turned and scowled at him.

"I like being here. It reminds me that it's nice living in peace." she said. "And that eventually, my job will be no longer relevant. I dream that one day, these bureaucrats will be able to pull their collective thumb out and work out lasting peace."

"Well... We both know that that's not happening anytime soon. In the meantime, this senator is going to need you to makes sure she lives. Between you and me, I read her file, she is a bit of a loose cannon. Lost her parents a few years ago, they were also senators. If she gets so much as a sniff of them, she'll go looking. I need you to keep her in line." he said.

"Alright..." she replied. At that point, the session adjourned and the senators and diplomats began vacating the senate.

With the ships fueled and the men all ready, as the Senator walked out onto the landing pad, she would be met by the fully garbed Rodian. "Good day, Senator. We are Defenser Squadron and we will be joining you on your trip to Rodia. This is a quiet mission, so we will only have 5 fighter escorts, I will be with you in your shuttle. Do you have any questions before we leave?" she asked.

Background (list the history of your character here): You wouldn't believe how scary it is for a small girl to be left all alone, by herself on the streets of Coruscant's seedy underground. Gamblers down on their luck that would shank you just to sniff a credit, Drunken pilots with a "If there's Grass on the Pitch, you play ball." attitude and, every so often, slavers ready to break you in. That is how Mooghi grew up. Her earliest memories were being born to a Freighter Captain and his wife. They left her with her grandmother whilst they went offworld... Unfortunately, her Grandmother died during one of their long haul trips... And to make matters worse, after being 2 months overdue, it was rather obvious that they would not be returning...

Living on the streets, she got involved with a bad lot, becoming a Swoop-gang member. She always had a good heart, no matter how much she peddled Deathsticks or shook the rich down for their credits. When she was 18, she was arrested when she crashed her Swoop into a building, the rest of the gang ran, but her swoop had made a hell of a fireball when it crashed, she even lost most of her right arm in it. She had helped people out of the flames, when she was found by the PDF. In her cell, she was approached by a man that said he liked her attitude and if she ever wanted to do more with her life, that she could always try to join the PDF.

Her time with them was a godsend. She quickly worked her way up the ranks to command a small taskforce taking down one of the larger crime-groups on the planet, under Blarma the Hutt. During her time in the tast force, she showed great combat ability, taking down several of the more notorious bounty hunters on the planet. Afterwards, things quietened down. She was now a big fish in a tiny pond and antsy to get some action. This was when she applied to the Senate Guard.

Ever since then, she has been assigned to protecting diplomats and senators from all over the galaxy.

Character Personality: A serious woman, she has been trained for quite some time to be able to fight anyone that might threaten the Republic or her charge. She is a tactically sound woman that always tries to think every attack through fully. She is also a fair pilot, commanding Defenser Squadron, a squadron of pilots that are charged with protecting the senate building. They specialize in Gunships, mainly, but when she is protecting a Senate vessel away from an atmosphere, she usually utilizes a heavily modified, old TIE Advanced, whereas the rest of the squadron usually use the more up-to-date X-Wings..

Sample Post: "This is Defenser Leader, all wings report in." she said as the shuttle and fighters dropped out of Hyperspace above Telos." The Comms buzzed as the 8 other fighters reported their ok status. "We'll be coming in in an X-formation, we'll be hitting atmosphere in 45 seconds, I'll head in first, I want Defenser's 5, 6, 7 and 8 covering my entry, 1, 2, 3 and 4, cover the shuttle." She ordered.

The Shuttle fighters maneuvered into formation as they began to enter the atmosphere, the flames as the fast moving fighters hit the atmosphere left scorch marks on the nose and around the cockpit of Kalami's fighter. The ships finally managed to get through the atmosphere and reach the city bellow. They flew down towards the highrise buildings, making their way through the relatively empty skies, the skyways having been closed for their landing. All seemed normal... So far...

The ships flew towards the main government building, Kalami and Defenser's 1 and 2 landed with the shuttle, whilst the rest broke into 2 attack wings of 3 and headed skywards to keep watch. As Kalami descended from her fighter, she looked around. "All seems quiet." she said, the other two pilots drew their pikes and ignited them. They then walked towards the shuttle and and watched the ramp descend so that the Senator could depart. At that point, a man came running from the government building.

"Ma'am!!!" He yelled, he held his arm that was obviously badly wounded. The door opened behind him and a Bith in ragged armour appeared. Kalami raised her arm, the built in blaster extended, but there was no clear shot at the Bith. The Bith didn't share this weakness and shot the running man twice in the back, before retreating into the building. Kalami ran to the man, while the other guard bundled the Senator back into the shuttle. "Dissidents..." he coughed "Trap..." he then let go of his fading life and slumped.

"Dammit..." she said, before getting up. The Dissidents were the reason that the senator had been coming, trying to sort out relief aid for the extreme poverty of the under-levels of Telos. She drew her own pike and headed towards the shuttle. She headed inside and found the Omwati Senator. "Ma'am, i'm going to take the squad and take back the building, one floor at a time. I'll leave Defenser's 7 and 8 to defend your shuttle, please retreat to orbit." The senator shook her head.

"No, I refuse to believe that this cannot be settled without further bloodshed. Please protect me while I enter and talk to their leader." Kalami simply stared at her.

"That would be incredibly dangerous. Far too dangerous for us to risk." she said. "This is non-negotiable, they are extremely desperate beings that simply want to be heard and do not care who has to die for that to happen. Even if its themselves. You will not be able to reason with them whilst they are in the grips of mob mentality. We will have to force their leaders surrender, until then, talk is meaningless." She said. The Senator didn't back down. "We will set our weapons to stun and take their leader alive, then you can convince him to force his men to surrender." she said.

"That..." the senator sighed. "That will be acceptable." Kalami raised her arm and pressed a few buttons. "Pikes away, set blasters to stun." she ordered, the men did as they were told. She then retreaved her comm-link. "Defenser's 3, 4, 5 and 6, land at the government building, it has been taken over by dissidents. Set blasters to stun, we are taking it back without casualties." she said. The Senator bowed to her and she scowled a little under her helmet.

@mattmanganon Also, I Get You Were Trying to Establish a Solid Timeline, But She's Really 200 Years Old?! I Get Yoda was Hundreds of Years Old, But that was His Species... If You Have Evidence to Support This Age, Let Me Know and I'll Change My Opinion.

Many force users can easily live several hundreds of years. It rejuvinates the body, my evidence is that, Plo Koon is still in his prime, even though, at this point, he has lived over 4 times his species average life expectancy (Kel Dor consider 70+, in their years, to be pretty fucking ancient. In their years, Plo Koon was 382, at the time of his death.) Qui-Gon was confirmed to be 60 when he was killed and he didn't look a day over 30. It's implied that Jedi and Sith can greatly slow their aging process via use of the force. Hell, when you consider all of the old guys in the expanded universe, I think it's implied that Yoda only died of old age because he either wanted to die, so as to give Luke the encouragement that he needed to face Vader, or had simply just stopped trying to live longer. It's also implied that a lot of the Dathomirian Witch Mothers had a few centuries mileage on them. I think they probably teach the technique when you get older, and since Obi-Wan spent his autumn years in a cave in the ass end of no-where, I don't see who would teach it to him.
