Tokyo - Japan, Midday

Around the time when a lot of places were getting out for lunch, a strange fog descended upon the large city. A lot like that day 10 years ago with the gas main explosions across Highton View Terrace. Although fog across Tokyo wasn't the most unheard of thing. Usually Smog, but this mist felt different. Especially considering how it was Spring, a 29c heat, way too hot for Fog. That being said, this was one of the busiest cities in the world, a little fog wasn't going to bring anything to a halt.

A small electronics store owner in Shibuya was just browsing the internet when he saw a strange pop-up. One that wouldn't close. It seemed to be downloading something. He quickly started pressing buttons, trying to use the task manage to force quit the program, but nothing happening. This was BAD. He quickly started smashing Ctrl-Alt-Delete to try and force restart of the computer. But again, nothing, this program couldn't stop, wouldn't stop. He panicked hard... He grabbed the plug and pulled it out. As he did, the screen went black. Oh thank god... The computer store owner sighed, before moving to plug it back in. Just before he could, the computer screen burst to life. He looked at the plug in his hand, before looking at the screen. At that point, a girl with short hair and tribal clothes next to a... Masked Rider appeared on the screen, before a bright flash of light, the girl and the Rider seemed to jump out and into the screen and landed straight on the owner, her foot going straight into his face as she stepped out of the computer screen, his head hit the floor and he went out-cold.

Looking around, Kentamon sniffed at the man. "A strange Digimon..." She replied. Stingmon, on the otherhand looked around.

"The fabled Human World..." He said under his breath before crossing his heart. Kentamon looked back up at him.

"Humons? Could it be that we have found our Digidestined?" She asked, looking at Stingmon. Stingmon stared back at her. "What is it, Sensei?" She asked.

"Kentamon..." He sighed. She was such a strong, confident warrior. He had hoped that when she met her Digimon partner, she would learn the truth. But with everything happening at once, this might be a little too much for her. At that point, the screen exploded again and an Airdramon burst out of the screen, smashing everything in the shop as it tore its way out and into the air.

"Oooooh, Good eating..." Kentamon licked her lips, before looking back at Stingmon. "Sensei?" She asked, drawing her Bokken, suggesting they go after it. Stingmon looked out of the window. He then nodded. Maybe if Kentamon had a full stomach, she would be easier to break the news to. And maybe Airdramon was meant to be her one true Digimon partner. In any case, it was his duty to help his student to survive this new world. Jumping out of the door, Kentamon jumped on Stingmons back as they shot into the sky. Due to the fog, it would be hard for anyone to have seen that. But little did anyone know, people were moving. All over the city, more Digital Emergences were being happening and a secret organization began to move on these...

@Forsythe Moral Ambiguity is fine. No problem with that. But one of the key factors at play in this will be the fact that y'all will be working for an organization dedicated to the removal of Digimon from the organic world and their return to the Digital World. An organization that took over from the previous "Kill 'em all and let Yggdrasil sort 'em out!" organization. I think a story about how your character wants to keep more of them than the sliver that she gets could be an interesting story to explore. a "Maybe the last guys had it right and you're just pussyfooting around!" kinda deal. Story's are about the evolution of the character. Starting in a place where they have shit to overcome is the name of the game. Such as the character i have, her story is going to be one of learning to become human again. Characters with no where to expand to are boring.

But if you still don't see a future in this, i understand and am sorry i couldn't be more accomodating.

Kentamon

Name: Kentano Kobeyashi
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance:

She is fairly muscular and wears an outfit very reminiscent of Yasyamon wearing baggy clothes, with wrappings around her chest. She is almost never seen without her Bokken.
Personality: Rough, loud, brash. Raised by Warriors, she acts the part with all of her might. She has no idea about personal space and looks down on anyone who can't protect themselves or support her in battle. This leads to her overcommitting to battle and almost never backing down, even if all hope of victory is lost. First into the fray, last out and always humiliating her enemies in defeat. She is also very food oriented and is easily distracted by food. Her one true mission in life is to find a mate worthy of her. She wishes to make "The Egg" as she understands reproduction (She does NOT understand human reproduction, assuming it's like Digimon in which an Egg is created by digital matter when 2 beings become close enough.) But only someone worthy will do for her.
Skills:

Sword Combat: Having been raised by Digimon, she was trained with the blade in order to survive. Taking on Digimon larger than herself with the help of her family.

Brute Strength Combat: Her physical combat status is graceful with the blade, but brutish and entirely strength based. Much more akin to Professional Wrestling and Greco-Roman style, with physical throws and grappling, especially lots of headbutting.

Survival Skills: Having lived in the wild with the Digimon, Kentamon learned to forage for edible fruits, mushrooms, berries and other vegitation. She also learned how to track prey with smell and hearing.

Digimon Identification: Having lived in the Digital World, she was taught "Know thy enemy" so she learned which Digimon to attack and which to avoid as well as certain strengths and weaknesses.

Digi-Egg: Hope
Bio: Born in Tokyo to the a wealthy family. She had a fairly normal upbringing, that was until, she had just turned 5 and the series of "Catastrophic Gas Main Explosions" happened across Tokyo, she found herself separated from her parents. The next thing she knew, there was a great white light and she found herself in the middle of the forest. Running scared, she found herself beset by strange monsters, until eventually finding herself rescued by a Veemon who took her back to their village. There, she was raised as a warrior by them. Headbutting, punching, kicking and all other manner of combat. Among the Veemons was the master of the village, a Yasyamon who taught the others to fight, to hunt, to protect the tribe. Kentano quickly became Kentamon, being a full initiate. By the age of 10 she was regularly joining hunts alongside the other Rookies and fighting other Digimon Rookies. Victory on the battlefield became life. Soon, she had even forgotten about the other world, about Earth, Tokyo, her family.

When it came her time of Digivolution, aged 12, a rite of passage in their village, she wasn't able to ascend to a higher form. As such, Yasyamon told her that he had taught her all he could, but he couldn't teach a non-Veemon to digivolve as they do, so sent her out into the Digital World to learn from other Masters, to hopefully find her tribe and figure out how to Digivolve. Before she left, he created for her a set of Bokken like his own to defend herself. Going out into the Digital World, she learned from more Digital Masters, but none more important to her than her current master. One who is attempting (And failing for the most part) to teach her patience and serenity. During one of their training sessions, Stingmon took her deep into the caves of Firewall, a place that many Digimon had rushed in blindly and gotten themselves killed. This was supposed to be a training exercise, but turns out that with her organic body, Kentamon was able to pass through a protective barrier that prevented other Digimon from entering. Here she found a strange box. Opening it, lights began to swarm around her, before blasting out of Firewall. The caves began to collapse around her, getting out, she managed to find Master Stingmon, but they were trapped, until they both saw a light, seeing no other choice, they rushed towards it...

Wormmon

Rookie Form: Wormmon
Gender: Male
Personality: Wormmon is a wise being who's absolutely adorable form belies his age and the wisdom that comes from it. Still adjusting to his new form, he is cautious and always tells everyone around them to think before they act. That being said, when push comes to shove, he will fight as ferociously as any Mega-Level. Some of Kentamons bad personality traits rubbing off on him. He is still rather friendly and always willing to teach anyone willing to learn.

@Forsythe Apart from the weird "Post Cooldowns" things with the ability, my only other problem is the "Absorbing fallen Digimons data" thing is when Digimon get destroyed, their data returns to the Digital World and get reconstituted. It creates a number of ethical problems if we go around vampirizing them. If you want to say you take samples of their data, that could work.

@Forsythe Pretty much, the Egg is going to be something of a item that drives the plot and helps you and your partner achieve higher forms. If you want to say that, for some reason, the Egg serves the function of the Totem, then i'm ok with that. It's just that introducing the Totems into this would just be... Narratively superfluous. It's another item by another name that seemingly has no origin or revelance to the plot, but it's there to provide the exact same narrative purpose that the Eggs do.
