Theme for mission start šŸ˜--> The Algorithm - floating point

Okay then everyone, @Spiritblitz, @Asce, @Memory and @Etcetera *I call out to my squad and your group to ready ourself and enter our designated teleoprting pads, The locations are set twofold, a group of soldiers including January MacClay*

Your group, prism, which is accompanied by two of our best sentinels, Leon and Aria, will be accompanying you for backup and in case of unexpected surprises in your abandoned nearby outpost, since you wanted to observe and to have Misty with you, mine are the new guys with the rest of the army, be safe, and make sure to call the ship for emergency teleportation out if you are in over your heads, they'll either teleport you on one of the freighters in orbit, or if you so wish, to join the rest of the group with us, but it'll certainly be more dangerous, however we have a literal armada to surround you so you can focus on taking notes.

Now Guys! Ready! Commander give us the go! *I look at Greyson confident - to which he keeps his arms crossed displaying pleasant surprise and approval to which he nods, and signals the engineer to engage the pads*

*Produces a notepad and a pen*
I’m ready as soon as you are, sir. I think I can speak for the whole of our small faction in that.
<Snipped quote by Memory>

Soldier Boy: Hook it up to the cube? *I let out a booming laugh that echoes through the ship.* Son, I ain't just carryin' this thing around for show. It's connected to everythin' I do, every weapon I use. It's what gives me the edge, the power to do what others can't.

*I pat the Tesseract, a fond smile spreading across my face.* This baby's like a second heart to me. It pumps power through my veins, amplifies my abilities, makes me... somethin' more.

*My eyes narrow, a predatory gleam flickering within them.* Don't need no healer, kid. I'm tough as nails, resilient as they come. You ask those damn commies who tried to keep me down for years. Didn't work out so well for them.

*My voice drops to a low growl.* This cube, it's changed me. Made me stronger, faster, more... resilient. I can take a hit, heal up in a flash, and come back swingin' harder than before. So yeah, I'm already hooked up, pal. Hooked up and ready for anything this world throws at me.
... So yeah, I'm already hooked up, pal. Hooked up and ready for anything this world throws at me.

*I pause pensively, scratching my chin thoughtfully.* But now that you mention it... directly tappin' into the cube with that healer if you plan on using it... that's an interesting idea. I mean, the Dominion scientists are already usin' it to power their tech, even remotely. Maybe we could try somethin'. Could be... beneficial.

*A sly grin spreads across my face, my eyes twinkling with a mix of curiosity and mischief.* Might even give you that god-like power we were talking about earlier. But hey, who knows? Maybe it'll just blow us all to hell. Either way, sounds like an adventure, don't it?

An adventure indeed. Although not one I think you should look to take today, when it counts.
<Snipped quote by Memory>

Soldier Boy: *I let out a low whistle, shaking my head with a wry grin.* More cores, huh? You got a real hankerin' for power, don't ya?

*I tap the Healer again, this time a little harder.* See, that's where it gets tricky. This ain't like stuffin' extra ammo in a clip. This core, it's... delicate. It's already bendin' the rules of reality just to work. Add another one, and you're askin' for trouble.

*I hold up a hand, the faint glow of my powers illuminating the lines on my palm.* It's like tryin' to hold a miniature sun in your hand. Too much power in one place, and things start to get... unstable. Could tear a hole in reality, suck everything into a black hole. Not exactly the kinda thing you want on a battlefield.

But hey, don't let that discourage ya. If you can figure out a way to make it work... well, then you're lookin' at a whole new level of power. A god amongst men. But that's a big if, pal. A big, dangerous if. *I contemplate*

Hm...
*Looks at the healing gun, thinking*
What if you hooked it up to your cube?
<Snipped quote by Memory>

Soldier Boy: Reload it? *I chuckles, a gleam in my eye.* Well, pal, that's where it gets interesting. See, this ain't your grandpappy's peashooter. It don't take no bullets, no shells, no nothin' like that.

*I tap the Healer's sleek casing, the metal cool under my fingers.* This baby runs on pure energy, siphoned straight from the fabric of reality itself. It's got a core in there, see? A little piece of somethin' special that draws in energy and converts it into that healin' beam.

*I gesture with the Healer, tracing an arc in the air.* When it's spent, it needs time to recharge. Think of it like a battery. You gotta plug it in, let it soak up the juice, and then you're good to go again. Takes a few minutes, but trust me, it's worth the wait.

*I lean in, my voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper.* And between you and me, there's rumors of a way to speed up that process. Somethin' about tappin' into the user's own life force. But that's classified, top secret stuff. You ain't heard it from me.

*I wink, then slap you on the back.* But hey, if you prove yourself out there, maybe I'll let you in on a few secrets. You got potential, kid. Just gotta see if you can handle the heat.

Is there something that prevents you from adding more cores? Or are they the densest part of the build, or something?
<Snipped quote by Memory>

Soldier Boy: Who said that? Yes if you can carry even one of these and have the manoeuvrability and flexibility to use one on yourself, and are not cornered, and it is reloaded... cause it takes some time to reload... you do you... be a friggin god if that's what you want. As i said... Terran Dominion army... NOT to be messed with!

I see, interesting. How do you reload it?

Commander Greyson: As in the enemy or what equipment are we offering you?

Well i guess it's time for the preparations before teleporting to the action, well in case you are wandering what we are offering you, it's what your guardian angel already has equipped. An armor that can defend you from high intensity kinetic and energy blasts plus has a powerful anti-psyonic shielding to prevent any mind or emotion intrusions as these particular pirates are infamous for doing... Weapons for you, you said you are a pacifist but i gues why not...

*He opens the door to the ship's armoury*

Commander Greyson: Alright, listen up! This here's the armory, your one-stop shop for all your ass-kickin' needs. Now, pay attention as I go through the options. We ain't got time for dilly-dallyin', and those pirates won't be waitin' for us to pick out our favorite color.

First up, we've got the M-99 'Pulsefire.' This baby's a standard issue carbine, but don't let that fool ya. It's got a rapid-fire mode that'll turn anythin' in front of you into swiss cheese. And the best part? Each bullet's got a little plasma punch to it, so you can fry circuits and flesh alike.

Next, we've got the E-11 'Shockwave.' This bad boy's got a shorter range, but it packs a helluva punch. It fires electric pulses that'll scramble a target's nervous system and leave 'em twitchin' on the ground. Perfect for close-quarters combat or when you want to make a statement.

Now, if you're lookin' for somethin' a little more versatile, we've got the P-22 'Plasma Caster.' This one's got a switchable firing mode. You can either spray plasma bolts like it's goin' out of style or charge up a shot for a concentrated blast that'll melt through armor like butter.

And finally, we've got the 'Healer.' This one's a bit different. It doesn't fire bullets or plasma. Instead, it shoots out a concentrated beam of energy that can heal wounds, repair damaged tissue, and even bring someone back from the brink of death. Every squad needs a medic, and this is the best damn medic you could ask for.

All these weapons are powered by the same energy source that keeps this ship runnin', so you can bet your ass they're more powerful than anythin' you've ever seen before. They've got a little somethin' extra in 'em, a little kick that'll give you the edge you need to survive out there.

Pick any or use whatever you've got, i know my crew already is in here equipping some and Soldier Boy is a weapon onto himself, so yeah...

Is there any reason you wouldn't be able to use the healer on yourself? It sounds like you could almost make yourself near-invincible.
<Snipped quote by Memory>

*I approach you contemplatively*

Nope... as crazy as it sounds even to me, these are fairly basic equipment, sure it may...

*The i realize*

How familiar are you with the concept of technology? When i first asked you, you said you are familiar with boats, horses and sails and such... it seem like you come from the middle ages or somethin'

<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

*January MacClay approaches you encouragingly*

January MacClay: Go for it, which one do you fancy? They are all basically the same in abilities, but what's fancy about it is...

*She presses a small button on a wrist pad and the whole armour changes and becomes more flexible and adopts a purplish hue, then she shifts a circle on the pad and it adds incandescent red hues, then she presses another button, returns to the original shape and this time it is all entirely pitch black*

January MacClay: You can basically customize how you want it to look and which defence settings to be more prominent over others...

<Snipped quote by Shadrack Nor>

*Makes an "ooh" face and runs the fabric of the black one through my fingers, which supernaturally whips around me and morphs onto my skin in the form of a black hoodie*

I like the outfit. What kinds of weapons are we facing?
@Memory Another question, i just remembered our early confusion... is Soldier Boy now looking at both @Spiritblitz and your double, because you mentioned prism has the ability to clone or split himself... so aren't there technically speaking 3 people (Including your double)

The two re-merged into one a few pages back.
<Snipped quote by Memory>

Commander Greyson: Sure thing, let me just get my notebook where i write how people manifesting out of the void are going to be accepted into a HIGHLY dangerous mission against maniacs... Yeah in your dreams! Explain yourselves

*He evidently did not trust the new arrivals in fact his demeanour gives more suspicious defensiveness than anybody*

Soldier Boy: I gotta say Prism... like this doesn't sound good, nor does it look good. Think if you were a highly medalled and ranking officer of a pretty big deal of military branch in any country but especially one as big as The Terran Dominion, that granted, they do have teleporting tech, but don't suddenly expect new people to just pop in out of the blue and especially in enemy territory where this was supposed to be a stealthy mission... I vouched for Misty and you, because we met just a few hours before my mission began, but these two new people, i have no idea where they came from, no way of evaluating their trustworthiness...

I may be impressed, but with such a big gap in our understanding, these two new people look like potential enemies...

I recognize that, but... what's the alternative?
<Snipped quote by Memory>

*I look at you gobsmacked and almost cross-eyed due to confusion and concern, then i grab the cube and start intently gazing into it*

I KNEW you had more shit up your sleeve... are you pulling other people from their times and worlds like you did me?

*It truly is a comic display what i'm doing, because obviously the thing is not even acting as if i exist or anything... it may be an enigma but it's still a cube of quartz-like material... what in the 9 heavens is an object going to say, not that the commander isn't approaching me with equal curiosity*

Captain Greyson: So... tell me more...

*i turn to him with an awkward chuckle* Ih... eh... you and me both sir, this thing is just as much as an enigma to me as it is to anybody else... but i wouldn't be surprised if it suddenly started pulling more people from other realities and timezones if it did me...

I think for now, we're safe. But you have new participants, sir.
