Kijani laughed, face heated with embarrassment and happiness. "I'm glad... I don't think I've said that to anyone since I was a little girl." She gave him a light kiss. "I would worry that we're skipping class, but I may at least have a leg up on some of the other students. Besides, I know that whatever group I'm a part of, I'd like you in it." She still wasn't sure of what they would be doing, but she knew working with Connor would be her best choice.

"You can call me Kassy, that's fine." She was already wondering if Draco wasn't some kind of noble. He was very polite and had sort of a regal bearing about him. Did humans have nobles, though? Was Draco actually human? Both questions for later. "I can do illusion magic, among other things." She twisted her hand, and a little school of brightly colored fish shimmered in midair, weaving around Draco. "Not only sight. Sound as well, and touch. Scent and taste I'm working on..." She flashed him embarrassed little smile. "I don't think I have much in the way of battle training. I can use a knife, but everyone can do that where I come from. Unless you're a shark, I don't think I'll be too threatening yet."

Kijani tried to smile again, but failed, and then rested her head against his chest. "...you're right. I know you're right. It doesn't stop the fear, though. I guess it's a start that I can admit that I'm scared as hell, but I wish I wasn't." She sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying Connor's warmth. "I've spent years thinking I knew just who I was, and I realized that person was a lie. Right now I don't know who I am. At least you're here while I work it out." She lifted her head and stared into his eyes. "I love you, you know that?" She grinned wide, then froze when she realized what popped out of her mouth. "I mean- well, I- um... Shit, it's supposed to be done more romantically than that isn't it?"

"Oh!" Kassy looked a bit startled when a new person entered class and strode right to her. She smiled nervously, and took his hand after a moment of uncertainty. "Um, yes. I mean, no... I don't mind - I was beginning to feel rather strange standing up here along. I am Kassandra, clan Keigwan, I am happy to meet you. What can you do?" She figured there was no harm in asking straight out. Everyone here had some kind of ability, just like back home. She was still a bit nervous about displaying hers.
