With the ship tossed in violent throws, turning rapidly, and practically flinging its passengers around, Dorothy for a moment thought of her meticulously cleaned medical bay. It would hardly remain that way, and it would take her at least a day to fix everything, and replace any damaged glassware. But her mind was yanked away from that, as she was flung into the wall, having hardly been gripping strongly, due to her need to tend to Gideon.
"This is just shiny," Dorothy muttered under her breath. She'd have bruises tomorrow, but that was the least of her concerns. Gideon managed to put out the fire, bringing the scent of oil and burnt metal into the air. And while Lionel complimented the kid, Dorothy heard Gideon's yelp of pain, and noticed the potential concussion in Lionel. She fished a small flashlight from her medical kit, before hurrying over to the businessman.
"I need to check you for a concussion, Dorothy explained quickly, before shining the light slowly back and forth across Lionel's pupils, noting them for any response. If Lionel proved fine, she'd then leave the Engine Room, and find the others on the ship who needed treatment. A concussion would be serious--but Gideon dropping the extinguisher on his foot, Dorothy judged, was something that could wait. She could also leave the burn cream with him, just in case.
@Nallore You are welcome to use Emmie as a claimed NPC. As for her age, anywhere from 13-17. Up to you. She can also be your second character, provided she's at least 15.
@Grec Per the rules of the RP, you can only make a necromantic character if you're already running another character. So by that alone, I'd have to say no. But furthermore, I'd need more specifics to be comfortable with that sort of character, and it's already sounding too overpowered to me.

First Necromantic Encounter: Andromeda had dedicated her life searching for the bizarre. She spent her summer in New Zealand, at the same time when the horrific events were occurring in Altsoba. From behind the blinds in her hotel room, she spotted a scandalously dressed man pounding on the door of her neighbor. He was let inside. A few minutes later, screams pierced the air. Andromeda quietly rushed over, only to witness the woman being devoured alive, her heart lying limply on the floor as the thing continued to feast. It hadn't noticed her yet, and Andromeda grabbed the lamp from the table, and smashed the creature's brains in.
It was only later, once she had a chance to do some proper research, that Andromeda learned what that had been--a rakshasha.
Life Before the Altsoba Massacre: The Aldrich family has been in Coventry since 1867, having purchased a small hotel with profits received for service of the Union Army in the Civil War. Andromeda's father, Sal, turned the dying hotel into a themed hotel about thirty years ago, right around when he married her mother, a world famous astronomer. The marriage didn't last long, since Andromeda's mother worked in New Mexico for S.E.T.I.
Her time was split then between the Halloween themed hotel and the satellites in New Mexico. The arrangement was a unique one. Initially, Andromeda spent the school year with her mother. Her mother was in love with her work, and so, Andromeda missed school frequently to come observing with her. She learned a lot of science, but not much else. However, this instilled one of Andromeda's deep beliefs in her--to question everything and to keep an open mind.
A court order sent Andromeda to live with her father, Sal, for most of her high school career. She received a far more stable education, and ended up attending a school nearby in Boston for college. Pursuing a degree in history with a minor in astronomy, Andromeda found her love for bizarre history and facts. Little things that didn't seem to be possible. She spent most of her twenties traveling the world and collecting these little artifacts, and by the time she came home, she turned her collection into a museum. The town was already a tourist trap for those interested in things a little odd, making it the perfect place for her to live out her life.
Life Since the Altsoba Massacre: Andromeda continued her search for the bizarre, but now began to learn more and more about the truth. The events in Altsoba were largely covered up, but she continued to study on her own, eventually finding out roughly what happened. She knew what she had seen in New Zealand--it wasn't something that she could have made up. Her father was murdered just months after the events at Altsoba, and Andromeda has been running the hotel ever since the tragedy. She can't quite explain it, but she knows that her father's death has something to do with what happened in Altsoba.
But of course, it's not like she can tell the police that...

The police weren't looking into her father's murder properly. Andromeda needed someone open enough to consider supernatural causes for her father's death. And given that Seraphina was at the center of the Altsoba massacre, Andromeda figured she'd be able to do the job. As long as Seraphina keeps working the case, Andromeda has no issues with her.

While Andromeda did find out the identity of the murderer on her own, she's certain she'll still need Seraphina's help in avenging her father. Sera seems to be capable and confident--and certainly more dependable than any member of the police. Of course, now that she's fallen through time and is an angel again, things are a little weird...

Andromeda only interacted with Eudora briefly when the woman checked into the hotel. She's fairly typical looking for those who spend time at Coventry Horrors. Andromeda has grown to trust Emmie, given that the young girl stood by her during a near death experience. She shared with her a well kept family secret--her half-brother who was given up for adoption, Walter Hanson. It amuses her to no end how much the little bug finds the hotel and the museum creepy, given that to Andromeda, those things are normal.

Andromeda hasn't interacted with the man all too much, though she has seen him come and go. There's a look in his eyes that tells her that he's seen some shit.

Andromeda saw the woman during check-in, and from what she knows, Aloise isn't someone to be messed with. The woman carries herself rather well, in an almost military way. But hey, she paid the rent on time--that's all that matters.

Andromeda has no issues with Folly herself. However, she has a distaste for the girl. She sees Folly as representative of police incompetence, as a symbol for all of the idiots in the police department. Part of Andromeda thinks that if it wasn't for Folly, the police may have apprehended her father's killer so much sooner--or at least, considered the possibility that his murderer wasn't human.

Andromeda briefly met the O.M.E.N. agent and sent him off with her brother. Despite the pair of them heading off what seems ages ago, neither of them have returned and there are no answers yet as to who killed Seraphina. Andromeda isn't sure what to make of it quite yet, but she is wary of the man.

Andromeda doesn't have illusions about what her brother has done. She knows that he tried to end the world and everyone in it. But just because someone stumbles and loses their way, it doesn't mean they're lost forever. Hanson is trying to repent for his actions and to Andromeda, that's all that matters. He's family.

Premise
June 20th, 2016. A day that was thought to live in infamy as the end of the world. Spirits rose from their graves, plagues spread across the land, and natural disasters brought the strongest to their knees. But that is not the memory that lives on, no. Those who sacrificed themselves for the survival of humanity are forgotten by most all, deemed a part of the tragedy of the Altsoba massacre. The small town, the epicenter of the apocalypse, is remembered as nothing more than a troubling combination of religious paranoia and hallucinogens.
If only that was the case.
The Altsoba massacre was covered up by O.M.E.N., the Organization for the Methodical Eradication of Necromantics. Necromantics. Just another word for the undead that walk among us, for the witches who cast spell over our lives, and the creatures that rob us of humanity. O.M.E.N. has been running covert missions to exterminate the remaining necromantics, and they show no mercy. The innocent and the guilty are killed all the same. There are no grey areas.
Two months ago, on Halloween--the universe loves ironies--the leaders of O.M.E.N. vanished without a trace. A well thumbed book is all that remained, covered in what forensic experts later determined to be the blood of the two missing men. The book was Coventry by Frederick Taylor, detailing that disturbing fable. The legend ran that England knew that the Nazis would plan Coventry, and rather than tip their hand, they allowed it to happen.
But that's just a story. And our story begins in a different Coventry--one located just twenty miles out from Salem, the site where so many young witches bled. A town with constantly evolving bloodshed, it is marked by betrayal, just as Altsoba before it was marked by death. Sal Aldrich, the owner of Coventry Horrors, a themed hotel, has been found dead. Hanged, even. The police recovered a note, their only indication that it wasn't a suicide. They were coordinates. And when the police went to the location, they found the bodies of O.M.E.N.'s leaders.
Sal wasn't the only death. More followed, each with a more disturbing note than the last. Sal's daughter, Andromeda, took over management of the hotel during the investigation. Experts on necromantics have been looking into Coventry with apprehension, only increasing when Fiodora, a performer with a traveling circus, was found dead. But there were not coordinates with her body. There was a note, penned in the same bloodied ink.

The housing will be assigned by the Gm after your CS is submitted and approved. It will be partially random - Depending on the character history each character will be assigned chances at a particular floor of the hotel and then the dice will decide. The GM will inform you if your CS is approved what your housing situation is. The only exception will be performers in the Circus -- they'll be instructed to just put "Circus Grounds" down for their housing assignment.
First Floor
Families tend to rent rooms on this floor. The room is playful in nature, with two queen beds. There's a small ensuite, but it's nothing special. Kids love it though, and its cheap price makes it affordable for the modern family!

Couples tend to rent this floor. It gives you the fun of being in a themed hotel, with a nice and comfy bed as well. The ensuite isn't half bad, either, and there's a small little couch in the corner with a television set.

Lore of the Necromantics

Buruburu:
Ghost sickness will kill a human within 48 hours, yet will speed up the more wicked a person is.
It can only be cured by destroying the buruburu (the original ghost).
Only those with a personality trait or physical trait similar to the original ghost can catch Ghost Sickness
Demons:
Devil's Trap: prevents a demon from leaving
Holy Water: burns demons
Exorcism: There are several differently styles of this, but all of them remove the demon from the host. Some will send the demon to hell, others will force the demon to manifest itself so it can be killed or sent to hell permanently.
Flesh Sigil: If a sigil is carved into the host's flesh, the demon will be powerless
Ghosts: Ghosts can remove a demon from its host
Hallowed Ground: Some demons are unable to enter hallowed ground, such as churches. These tend to be the weaker ones.
Hex Bags: these can hide people from a demon
Holy Fire: Holy oil lit on fire, it roasts a demon.
Iron: Demons cannot cross an iron barrier or touch iron without extreme pain
Palo Santo: Stab the demon with this, the host smokes and the demon cannot move
Damaging the host may force the demon to choose a new host, or be slowed down
Purified Blood: This, when injected into a demon, is incredibly painful.
Salt: Demons cannot step over salt, pass a salt line, or touch salt. Touching salt results in (you guessed it) extreme pain.
Demons can be cured through the Demon Purification Ritual.
Demons can be killed by angel blades.
Demons will flinch and have their eyes turn black when the name of the Lord is spoken.
Deviances: Not much is known as to how these work. Sometimes, people come out a little funny. Maybe they can see things others cannot. Maybe they have a sixth sense when it comes to healing. If there's anything that makes them a little odd, especially if it would make O.M.E.N. interested in them, it's a deviance. These will be heavily scrutinized.
Ghosts:
Salt and iron can stop them.
Burning their bones will kill them.
They require an anchor to the world to exist.
Quareen:
A Qareen will appear to be an incredibly beautiful person.
They seduce and then devour their master's target.
They are controlled by means of their heart.
If the heart is stabbed, they perish.
Rakshasha:
They feed on human flesh.
They must be invited inside.
They can assume any shape or form.
Vampires:
Vampires can be killed with a stake to the heart.
Fire destroys their body quickly.
Sunlight exposure kills them
Vampires can be killed by having their heads cut off
Holy items burn vampires
Garlic repels vampires.
Witches:
Witches can be taken down with iron.
They require hex bags or DNA to complete their long, complicated rituals.

Character deaths will happen, no one is safe - it will be randomized and you will be notified when your death approaches. (This does not mean you are out of the RP, it will mean however you need to make a new character should you wish to continue - I recommend having Back Up Characters Ready)
I am looking for long term highly dedicated Rpers. This RP is a sequel to Abandoned Hope, which finished after eight months.
Once Cs's are approved, relation sheet will go up and must be completed and added to CS

Below is the character sheet required for the RP. Those of you from Abandoned Hope will notice that I've been generous when it comes to the amount of skills you can have. Please do not take advantage of this, and keep things realistic. The increased number of skills is designed to accommodate for knowledge gained since the Altsoba massacre, in order to prepare you for dealing with necromantics. Any deviances you have will also take up a skill slot, so please keep that in mind.
If you participated in Abandoned Hope, you'll be granted a reward for your character sheet upon joining. This might be a connection to an NPC, a clue, an extra skill, etc... I'll be rolling a dice to determine what happens there. Characters who were used in Abandoned Hope will need to keep all skills they had there, but there should be plenty of room for you to expand their skills as well ^_~
Keep this realistic, folks! Necromantics can be played only by those already playing a human character in the RP, with the exception of characters used in Abandoned Hope. For example, you wanna play a vampire? Cool. That can be your second character.

Relation/Clue Sheet
Throughout the RP, you are expected to record clues you find here. There are several mysteries to unravel in Coventry. If you believe you have solved one of the mysteries of Coventry, send a PM to the GM! If correct, you'll receive some sort of in-game reward. This can be a bonus skill, a helpful clue for the next mystery, a get-out-of-death free card...
You also will record your thoughts and opinions on other characters. To start the RP, you are required to have one relation to start with. This RP is inspired by Rocky Horror Picture Show, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, American Horror Story, Supernatural, and Good Omens. However, any lore mentioned in the RP is the lore that exists. If you're interested as to how something might fit in, great. Send me a PM. But do not decide for yourself that it has to exist and add it in.
