@FantasyChic Welcome aboard!!!!
@Lady Amalthea Noted. ^_^ I've got another faceclaim that should work just as well.
@Pundii Yes, please fill one out for James.
@Taro Missing something under the anything else. Also, the text color is rather hard to read -- please swap it out for another.
@Lady Amalthea Yup. My roommate and I bonded over watching AHS at 1 AM when we finished our homework (she's biomedical engineering, I'm chem. It takes forever to finish those assignments). We started Hotel and stopped twenty minutes in. I decided to give it a second chance this summer, since she said we wouldn't watch Hotel together, so I've been bingeing it. Tempted to make a character based off of him for Sands lol.
Posting this announcement again, since that post is now on day 3. You have 4 more days to do this.

Quick announcements, folks!

@Pundii@BlueSky44@Nallore@Witch Cat@FantasyChic: We are nearing the end of chapter two. You have all of the information you need, or close to it, to solve the two cases presented in the clue sheet. Because of this, I am requiring a clue/relation sheet update. NPC characters do not need clue sheets. Only full characters do. No need to discuss relations with each other, since you'll have a good idea by now of how your characters currently feel/interact with each other.

There are prizes available for solving chapter two correctly. Since there are two cases, you can win up to two prizes. The prizes up for grabs are temporary plot armors. Think of them like a shield--let me know which character is using it and when they roll a death, I'll ignore the death and they will be spared. The plot armor will then be "used up" and no longer available.

The first case requires a correct answer to this question: who is Mephistopheles working for? The second case requires a correct answer to this question: Who/what created the wardrobe? What is it actually?

If you think you have an idea/solution for either of the cases - doesn't have to be both - please send me a PM! The sooner that's done, the sooner we can move onto chapter three. ^_~

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Red Lake Sheriff's Department

Jenna watched the press conference from the windows of the Sheriff's Department. Her father had been a homicide detective before he had relocated to Red Lake a little more than seventeen years ago, but the town hadn't been able to justify a detective who only investigated murders. Instead, the man investigated everything and anything. Hell, it wasn't that uncommon for Detective Westbrook to get sent over to neighboring towns to assist with investigations. Red Lake was a relatively calm and peaceful place.

Of course, that wasn't why Jenna was inside and not out with the others. Jeanna had sent her an email a few days back, letting Jenna know that she'd be in town. And while she wasn't related to her, Jeanna was married to the woman who gave Jenna up for adoption. Jenna didn't feel quite ready to tackle that can of worms. Besides, with everyone outside or guarding the crime scene, it gave her a chance to peruse the files at her leisure.

Standing up and walking away from the blinds, Jenna was thankful that her position as an intern allowed her nearly full access to the department. They didn't pay her and she didn't care. Most of what they asked her to do was paperwork--either filling it or retrieving it. However, that also meant that she could look at it as much as she wanted to. Heading over to the filing cabinet, Jenna unlocked it with the keys kept stashed under the receptionist desk and began searching through the folders. The FBI would've been given copies, but that didn't mean that Red Lake still wouldn't have them.

"Walker...Walker...Walker...," Jenna muttered under her breath, pulling Riley's file once she found it. She doubted Ryder's file would be ready for at least a day. The crime scene hadn't even finished being processed, with only the body removed so far. Jenna then took quick photographs with her flip phone of the documents, just in case, before sending a text off to Finley.
Pulled Riley's file. Meet up soon? -J

Shutting the phone and slipping it back into her pocket, Jenna took the file and sat down with it, her notebook and pen in front of her. Anything relevant she quickly scribbled down, using shorthand to save time. The press would keep people busy, and with any luck, by the time she finished jotting things down, no one would be the wiser. When finished, she'd slip the file back in the cabinet and slip her notebook back into her bag.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: MSS Private Jet

Cecily considered sharing with Caesar her concerns about the established timeline for the X-Men film franchised, but she figured that the man both wouldn't understand and wouldn't be in the mood to talk about that. His daughter had been killed and they were on the way to her funeral. It wasn't exactly the time to explain to him the twenty year age gap that would have to be between Havok and Cyclops, as well as the fact that in the comics, Cyclops was the older one anyways. And of course, who could forget the third Summers brother, the super villain Vulcan? He hadn't even had a chance to appear yet in the film franchise, though Cecily was interested to see how that would be handled if they did.

Still, Caesar had told her she could put on a movie. Did she want to watch an X-Men film, even now? The Kitchen Scene was always a treat and she adored it, but still...But fortunately, Caesar gave her mind something else to worry over. She didn't speak a word of Spanish and she was the only one on the plane who did so. She doubted anything she picked up from watching Dora the Explorer as a little kid would be helpful. And while French was similar to Spanish, it likely wouldn't help much at all. She wasn't that proficient in French either.

"Why would she want to...never mind," Cecily said softly, shaking her head. It was Caesar's own business if he wanted to share more and elaborate as to why this Maria person wanted to kill him. She figured that a guy with that many scars had to have some people responsible for them. It made sense that Caesar would have enemies, but from the way it sounded, Maria must've been a family member. He didn't strike her as the married type, but he did have a daughter...Maybe it was Alicia's mother? Alicia's sister? She'd have more success, Cecily figured, in stressing over not knowing Spanish when visiting a grieving family of Spanish speakers than she would trying to understand Caesar's life.

Iris Kingston

Location: 3932 Chicago Heights

Iris took the card, about to shove it into her pocket when she thought better of it. If she reached into her pocket and took it out at work by accident, what would that say about her? It'd basically be a confession to having talked to the press. And even if she remembered not to take it out, things fell out of pockets all the time. It'd be better to leave it at home. If she needed to get in touch with Amy, it'd be able to wait until then. Or she could just look up the number online--Amy seemed the type to have her number online.

"...Watch my back?" Iris whispered to herself, gulping. Maybe keeping the card with her wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. Sliding it into her back pocket, she just hoped that it wouldn't get lost somehow. From the tone of Amy's voice, Iris felt like she should've kept her mouth shut. Stepping into her apartment, Iris closed the door and took a deep breath, trying to think of what Amy had meant. Would someone be after her? Would someone try to hurt her for talking to the press? Termination of employment was a reasonable response--was that what Amy wanted her to watch her back for?

Shaking her head, Iris grabbed the things she needed for work, Cynthia's scrapbook included. She could worry about Amy later. She didn't want to be late for work.

Dorothy Pender

Location: Docks (Underground)

Foy's explanation of the impact of humidity on the timing, in hindsight, should've been something Dorothy could have realized for herself. It was her business to know as much about biology and medicine as she could. Any doctor worth their salt would've known the impact of humidity on blood, even if they tended to study the living more than the dead. Much of what they knew about human biology came from studies of the dead, after all. The comment about a threesome elicited a sharp sigh in the doctor. She didn't understand how anyone had worked with Foy before and avoided strangling the man.

The three pathways, to Dorothy at least, looked to be an easy decision to make. Only one of the paths would have blood and she doubted that the woman had managed to stop the bleeding just yet. Of course, Foy was still having the occasional trouble with his balance, making Dorothy more and more grateful for her sturdy choice in footwear. The conditions in the sewer didn't bother her so much--she'd been covered in far worse before--but they weren't exactly the most inviting.

She figured that Foy and Atticus would get along swimmingly. It made sense that she found Atticus in Foy's parlor. The preacher committed almost every sin he preached about, as far as Dorothy was concerned. Though perhaps that was a bit much to say--she just knew the man had plenty of vices. "I'm goin' to forget you just said that. Next time, I won't forget," Dorothy said softly. It had been a while since she did anything along those lines and she wasn't planning to start with Foy. She'd sooner read the Bible with Atticus.

Fitz Townsley

Location: Town (Toy Store)

Fitz smiled at the old man, his cheeks a bit flushed though at the confusion. He supposed it had been his fault, really. Outside of his university, people didn't have doctor as a title unless they were into medicine, he guessed. It wasn't that common of a thing. "I-if you had the parts and with the advice of a doctor, I c-could try to build you a new knee. O-or part of one...B-but other than that, I'm a bit useless," Fitz explained. He nearly hit himself in the head when he realized he still hadn't told Royus what sort of doctor he was. "I-I'm an engineer. I-I originally was going to study cybernetics, ended up working with machines and sensors and power sources..."

He felt deeply ashamed for a moment. His sister would've likely been more use here, though she was still off at her own university. "But if there is anything I can do to help you, l-let me know," Fitz then added. The stutter was embarrassing as well, but it couldn't be helped. He had never been the best socializing, especially with new people. And that was practically the entire purpose of this trip--to push himself out of his comfort zone.

He had moved his pawn forward already, trying consciously not to fidget his hands from nerves while he waited for Royus' turn. The last person he had met was the pilot and while she was nice, she hadn't had the time to talk with him. Royus was practically the first person on Newhope to sit down with Fitz and get to know the guy. To Fitz, that was huge.
I'll get a post up tonight ^^
